The Royal Peacock is among the top spots for reggae spots in Metro Atlanta. Free admission before 12 midnight. Free jerk chicken before 12 midnight. Clean bathrooms. A large dance floor. Best nights to go are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Your best bet is to attend on weekends because the weekdays can be a hit or miss due to people working the next day. Otherwise this is the place to go for good music, good dancing, good drinks and good vibes. Disclaimer: this is an 18 and up place. If this is a problem then you know what to do.

In refrence to 6÷26÷2015 First off I want to put it out there that there is parking around the corner for 3.00 all night and compared to where I’m from *NEWYORK* that’s literally nothing. So we got to the club it’s in the hood, but mostly the best clubs are. We went upstairs the walls had some nice art work that made me feel good about the place I chose. They have a pool table and a lot of space. Some closed off VIP like sections all around. I thought about inquiring but I was trying to stay low key. Me and my girl sat at a small table by the bar for awhile checking the scene, for a Friday it was light. They had about 3 DJs and two bartenders so the flow of traffic was steady. Best part it’s a 4⁄20 friendly spot! The music got good so me and my friend hit the dance floor to show ATL how NY gets down. Every body watched some danced with us but overall I had a great time. The bartenders were nice and the drinks were good, the DJ with the dreads was my favorite he played all my tunes, shout outs to the door man for letting us in free, and the security was respectful so I love it there next trip to ATL I’m bringing the squad and we gonna shell dun the place!

We had an awesome time here. The club was not too crowded, the DJ was awesome and they were more than accommodating to me and my 10 friends in the VIP area.

Was so tired after a long weekend in the A fell asleep around 5 Sunday evening. Woke up around 12 know I wasn’t going back to sleep decided try this spot. Got there around 2am $ 10 to get in it was light on the inside i paid $ 5 stood at the bar watched a good pool game drank 2 Guinness dj played some good music. They started to turn down the bartender said good night to me and i left. Went downstairs walking to my car i saw 2 men in mango restaurant so i walked over and asked for directions to get to stone mountain and they advise that by the time i get there every thing would be closed. We ended up in a conversation him and the security for the club island men like myself. The gentleman turned out to be the owner of both spot and i told him i was on Unilocal and tried these spots because of Unilocal and complemented the food from the restaurant. Talked about the good reviews on the mango restaurant and the not so good reviews on the royal peacock. He then proceeded to complement Unilocal and acknowledging it’s good for business and small businesses like his and thanks them for the customers they brought to the business and stated that he’s going to fix the peacock. And we discussed how bad reviews can kill a business when some conditions and the surroundings are out of your control. We chatted for about an hour back and forth also about our native countries most of the staff from the club came down and ended up joining the conversation. We said goodbye and everyone left. I stopped at a deli few doors down and someone told me about the blue ivory so i headed over there

5 stars just for the Historical Context. Are any amongst the current clientele aware of the kind of past associated with this place? I’ve never been, but I’m fascinated. And judging by the handful of reviews,(tho nothing against the current owners) it’s a shame it’s not being properly honored. I’m just another guy speaking out of his keister, but it would be amazing to see the Peacock given a similar treatment a la The Green Mill in Chicago:

I went to this club 5÷24÷13 and its the worst ever. I have been a few other times before and its still horrible and I usually like to try a place more than once just to see if the place was just having a bad night. The first issue was that as soon as I entered it was really hot, so hot my hair immediately started to sweat out. The second issue was that they only had one bartender who was rude and two other slow guys trying to assist her. To top that the bartender left the room and when she finally came back I asked her if she was still bertending and she screamed at me saying«DON’T YOUSEEIMBUSY! YOUHAVETOWAITYOURTURN!». What type of customer service is that!!. I have never been anywhere where a server screamed at me and I refuse to ever return. Third issue is the dance floor, with the exception of 5÷24÷13 is always empty and the music is horrible. Ill pass! Central Station is better than this place and that’s what you call RATCHET.

Street parking only! And not the best neighborhood to be in so come with a group!(We met a girl from Texas who came out alone so we added her to our group which rounded us right at 10) Drinks are light, bartenders are sweet but slow, and dj plays great music but talks wayyyy to much! Too many people stood against the walls. We were Florida girls out to party so we were the life of the party.

This is my second time going, the first was for Carnival weekend so it would have been unfair to write a review based on that weekend. So I went last night on a «regular» Saturday night and was unimpressed. We got there a little before 12:30am and the dance floor hardly had people on it. Everyone just seemed to be standing around on the outskirts of the dance floor like they were waiting for an invitation to jump in. I thought, this is not double-dutch people!!! We decided to stay a few hours and see if people would start pouring in at a later time(maybe they knew something we didn’t) and it never happened. The Dj played much more hip-hop than I expected for a Jamaican Club so that threw me for a while. So for a Saturday night, the party really never turned in to a party after all, and after a few hours we decided to move on to the next. Maybe Friday or Saturday night will be better. The dance floor is nicely lit with party lights flashing everywhere and it’s spacious enough for you to get your groove on. They definitely do not have a space issue. Love, Love, Love the bathroom concierge service! She’s really helpful, has lots of goodies for sale, so tip her well. And it does help that the bathroom is clean, smells good and the stalls are very private. And if you’re not a smoker, don’t like being around smoke, smelling like smoke — NOTTHEPLACEFORYOU!
