I mean their fries are just amazing! It was my first time so I went classic w the aioli dipping sauce and they were just so good. Fried to perfection and the sauce was great. Cannot wait to eat them again and get a little more crazy!!!

Good fries, but at amusement park prices. The Fry Guy is a food truck that specializes in French fries. I was searching for a side to accompany the sandwich that I brought to work. Seeing The Fry Guy and an award on its window for having one of the best fries in Atlanta, I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the standard cone of fries. Price — $ 6. You get one small cup of sauce. If you want another sauce, you have to pay an extra dollar. Before I gripe about price, I’ll say that the fries were cooked well. Lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, the fries were a happy medium between crispy and soft. There’s a selection of sauces that include curry ketchup and honey sriracha mayonnaise. I tried the honey sriracha mayonnaise, which was slightly sweet and smooth. It was a great dipping sauce for the fries. For me, a $ 6 order of fries is either an entrée or really, really good fries. The cone of fries was good. I don’t know if they were $ 6 good though. The cone is about the size of a side order. Other food trucks serve the same amount of delicious fries for half the price. Maybe the specialty fries, which I didn’t see or try, are the way to go here. Those are even more expensive, but may have more value with a wider assortment of toppings. I like The Fry Guy, but at this time I can’t justify going back unless the portion size improves or the price drops a bit.

Wait… you have a truck full of french fries??? Why is my money not leaving my wallet faster? I visited the fry guy food truck during the Duluth Food truck Friday event, because, well, do I even have to explain? French fries! Right off the back, the combination of toppings the fry guy has are toppings i’d never seen married together before, so I was eager to give the one with two toppings I love(Blue cheese and Sriracha) a shot. $ 8 was the charge for my order(topped with Gorgonzola crumbles, blue cheese mayo, sriracha and green onion). This, and fries topped this way, come in a little plate. The cones on the other hand, are less messy, and $ 6. I really love my french fries crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, so it was sad to find that the fries themselves were not crispy at all, and were flirting with being soggy… and that was how they were when they were handed to me. They were such a let down to me that sadly, I ended up throwing it away after eating maybe 1⁄3 of it. I’ll definitely give them another shot if I see them again, because i’ll always give fries a chance, but I’ll just try to get the basic ones without all the toppings, to hopefully keep some crispy outside, tender inside fries the way I like them.

Went to the Fry Guy on Smyrna’s Food Truck night. The fries with garlic aioli were really good but at $ 6.00 for a medium size cone portion they were expensive. I got about 7 whole fries and the rest were small broken pieces like you find at the bottom of a bag.

We tried The Fry Guy out the Inman Park Festival. Fast and friendly service with perfectly fried potatoes. They were exactly as Ivan said — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Daaaah-licious. We had the Street Style fries — it included ketchup, mayo, white onions, and green onions. There was too much ketcup on ours, but everything else was perfection. It was also a little difficult to get a little bit of onion and ketchup/mayo with most bites, so you end up eating a fry first, then scooping up the onion/ketchup mix. I would definitely try them out again. They’re a little overpriced but you pay for the quality. This isn’t McDonald’s lol.

This is a late review but I tried The Fry Guy at the One Music Fest back in September 2014. The truck was eye-catching and the menu seemed interesting so I decided to try it out. I ordered the bacon french fries with bacon aoili and scallions and it was AMAZING. I shared it with a friend and it was more than enough food. The wait wasn’t long and the fries were fresh. There’s nothing worse than ordering fries and they come out limp and soggy. Anyways, the flavor was great and they didn’t skimp on the bacon. Looking forward to having this again.

3 stars for the price. Paid $ 6 for cone fries and sauce(honey sriracha sauce). Specialty fries(bacon fries, Parmesan) was $ 8! It was definitely good but I can only give three stars because this place was too expensive for my wallet. I probably won’t be coming back because this place is gonna break my bank. It was definitely good to try but unless you’re a balla, prices should be dropped! Maybe there’ll be more return visitors. For now, I just recommend visiting to at least day you’ve tried!

Finally caught up with them at the Atlanta Street Food Festival. Delicious! Love the blue cheese fries, will definitely eat from their truck again.

I’m no French fry expert. The frenzy is understandable though. Perfect execution on this food staple. In this newfound Atlanta food truck scene, you don’t know what to expect from some concepts. This can make handing over too much money for not enough food/quality fairly common. Not the case for the Fry Guy. Easy prices and very shareable. The truffle oil and shredded cheese fries are the best, yum!

French fry’s is one of my favorite foods. The fry Guy is AWESOME. I have encountered them at the food truck park and varies events around Atlanta. They specialized in Belgian style french fries. Since being a food truck there menu is very limited. Plain French fry’s(the name explains it all), Street style fry’s(consist ketchup, raw onions and hot sauce) and last are the Frys topped with shredded parmesan and truffle Oil. I have tried them all and my all time fave is the parmesan with truffle Oil. They also have six different dipping sauces: Garlic Aioli Honey Sriracha Mayo(my favorite), Red Curry Ketchup, Malt Vinegar Aioli, Honey Mustard and Horseradish Mayo. All portions are pretty big enough for two. Pricing varies between 5 – 8 dollars. Service is great accepts credit cards and wait time for orders are around 5 mins.

These had to be the best french fries I’ve ever eaten. I had the truffle/parmesan, and I can’t wait to go back for more!

I had never heard of The Fry Guy until I checked out«Food Truck Monday» at The Masquerade a few months ago. Man, am I craving some of that golden goodness now… For $ 5, you get a cone of hot, fresh, perfectly seasoned hand-cut fries that are absolutely delicious! You also get one free dipping sauce with your fries. But The Fry Guy decided to be super awesome(as if he wasn’t already) and gave us an additional cup of sauce(usually $ 1 each) for free! So along with regular ketchup, we got the Honey Sriracha Mayo and Red Curry Ketchup. I couldn’t really taste much curry flavor in the Red Curry Ketchup, so I didn’t think it was all that special. But I LOVED the Honey Sriracha Mayo. This sauce makes the great fries AMAZING. There’s just something about the combination of honey, Sriracha hot sauce, and mayo that makes this sauce heavenly. Overall, The Fry Guy easily gets 5 stars for their $ 5 cone of fries. I wasn’t a fan of the cone because having to constantly hold the cone made it difficult to eat other things with the fries. A flat container would be so much better! But my friends and I really enjoyed these fries with our yummy sliders from Slider U. If I ever catch The Fry Guy truck again, I will definitely buy more of these awesome fries with Honey Sriracha Mayo! [Review 031 of 366]

I tried out the Fry Guy on Friday night at the Howell Mill event. I was already stuffed with a burrito from Yumbii, but I figured I’d give the fries a try as well. I picked the horseradish mayo. They were fried to order so it was a bit of wait, but I’d much rather wait than be handed a bunch of soggy fries. They tasted really good on their own and the horseradish mayo lived up to my expectations. They weren’t greasy and were just the right level of crispy. I didn’t end up finishing them, so I took them home with me. Another thing I hate about fries is they don’t reheat worth crap usually. However, after spending $ 5 on a serving, I wasn’t about the throw 80% of it away. After a little time in the oven, they were reasonably close to what they were originally. The mayo also kept just fine. I’d probably go back if I were either just looking for a snack or sharing the portion with someone else. It’s way too much food for just one person especially when you’ve already eaten. Not that that’s a bad thing mind you…

Late on actually writing this review since getting the opportunity to try some of the fry guy’s fries at The Masquerade food truck meet up. Taste: perfect blend of seasoning, and not too oily. Texture: Golden brown, crispy edges with good coloring and soft in the middle. Both orders that we placed came out exactly the same, they have their cooking time down to the t. Cost: $ 5. While normally, I wouldn’t ever go out of my way to just get a serving of fries but these compliment well with some U Sliders BBQ sliders. If you’re ever at a food truck event, order from both these guys! If Bocado(ATL’s best cheese burger *IMOH* were served daily, every hour) could get Fry Guy to serve his fries with their burgers and then keep a strict consistency; it would be heaven on a plate, followed by a food-gasm in my mouth. HONEYSRIRACHAMAYOISTHEBESTDIPPINGSAUCE!!! Don’t skip on this!

Andy, the chef of the Highland Inn, has joined the Atlanta street food revolution. With a little frier that only does 2 orders at a time(2 generous orders) and a cooler full of sauces and supplies, he serves up delicious fried happiness. The hand-cut potatoes are tossed in when you place your order so that your taste buds tingle with anticipation for the few minutes it takes to get them slightly crispy. Then each order is tossed with the combination of salt, pepper, chili powder, and something else that I was told(can’t believe he gave away his secret spice?!) but have now forgotten since I was distracted by my hunger and enthusiasm. I got the honey-sriracha mayo as the one sauce included in the order and splurged for an additional horseradish sauce(for J who was in line for El Burro Pollo at the time). We also shared the dill mayo and garlic aioli with Zack and Rachel. The little cup full of honey sriracha that I got was heavy on the honey and not at all spicy, making my favorite the dill sauce. Honestly, I’d bet that it’s $ 5 because it makes it easier to not have tons of $ 1 to give change when you’re a street vendor. Regardless, it’s a pretty good sized serving plus a fancy sauce that you’re getting, so it’s worth it! Follow him on twitter(@ATLFRYGUY) and you might just be able to talk him into a free sauce! #Yelp365 — 41⁄365 PS — It seemed that everyone in this line was either headed to El Burro Pollo(my review: ), coming from the El Burro Pollo, or had divided to conquer by having one from the party in each line. I highly recommend patronizing both businesses on the next sunny weekend afternoon

This guy is making a killing. $ 5 for a cone of fries? Overhead costs? A table, a mobile fryer, and potatoes. Still, I’d gladly pay the $ 5 because the fries were so good, crispy exteriors, soft, fluffy interiors. Of the dozen or so sauces available, I tried two of them, the red curry ketchup and the honey sriracha mayo. The honey mayo was definitely tasty. The red curry? Sigh. It sounded so good on paper, kind of like John Kerry-War Hero & Presidential Candidate. But in practice, like John Kerry, it was kind of unappetizing. I remember trying a similar sauce when I ate at Pomme Frites in NYC, so the potential is there. Maybe the recipe just needs some tweaking. Also, I probably shouldn’t have eaten a burrito the size of my head before walking across the street to order fries. That doesn’t help. Anyway, 4 stars for Fry Guy. Hopefully, as I continue down the list of sauces, I’ll be able to add in that final fifth star. Addendum: Heh, I just read Vanessa’s post and saw we ordered the same damn sauces. I keep telling her she’s a hot chick version of me! She hates me for saying that.

A surefire way to attract drunk girls. If they happen to be drunk between the hours of 12 pm and 4 pm on a Saturday or Sunday. Which makes them horrible drunks. And probably skanks. They’re slinging Belgian street fries in paper cones like this is a major metropolis, yo! Hot fries on finger wrinkling cold days? A gift from the Belgian gods. I’m so happy! I tried: Red curry ketchup: pretty standard, but less sweet than some commercial varieties, which I definitely appreciated. Garlic aioli: relationship-testing intensity. If you have a partner, you should both agree to eat it. Or to not eat it and have a long discussion about what you both want out of life. Because pomme frites and garlic breath should figure in there somewhere. Honey Sriracha [cilantro?] mayo: I lurved this one. Creamy, tangy, sweet, hot, delicious. — - — - you can follow The Fry Guy on Twitter [@atlfryguy] to find out when he’ll be out there /if he won’t be due to weather, etc.
