The Atlanta Airport Shuttle Service

They refused to give me a full refund when I followed all their guidelines.
I ordered this service online a month before I flew into Atlanta, paying with a credit card online. Their website clearly states that you will receive a FULL refund if you cancel at least 24 hours prior. I called and cancelled a week before I flew in. They did not proactively credit my account back. I had to call in and request the credit. They then could not locate my account and I had to forward them my confirmation email to prove my situation. They then proceeded to not cancel the full amount due to «PayPal fees». I argued that this PayPal fee was not made known at any point in the process and that I should not be held responsible. The email confirmation broke down the fees as «trip cost» and «tax amount». While I was on the phone with the manager, she put me on hold three times to take other calls. By the end of the conversation, I was fed up and decided it wasn’t worth fighting it anymore.
Moral of the story: Make sure you know for sure you want their services before purchasing online because their «full refund» really isn’t.

The Atlanta Airport Shuttle Service is the best way to get to and from the Atlanta airport under the following conditions:
1. You are traveling alone.
2. You don’t have a ride.
3. You can’t or don’t want to take MARTA.
4. You don’t want to park at or near the airport.
I’m surprised more non-​business travelers don’t take advantage of airport shuttles in Atlanta. It’s cheaper than a cab and it’s also less expensive than newer on-​demand vehicle services like Über and Lyft.
If I don’t have a ride, I normally take MARTA. If I have extra luggage that I don’t want to lug onto MARTA, I use the shuttle service. Often times, the shuttle service functions exactly like a cab, but at half the cost.
I used to ride the old Atlanta Link shuttle service regularly. I was disappointed when it closed, but am now satisfied with the Atlanta Airport Shuttle Service. The two are owned by the same company. The Atlanta Airport Shuttle Service has a contract with the City of Atlanta. I believe you have to be within Atlanta city limits in order to use the shuttle service. The main service areas are Buckhead, Midtown, and Downtown.
Call or check the company’s web site to confirm current pricing. Prices at the time of writing this review are as follows:
Buckhead — $ 16.50 one-​way, $ 29.00 roundtrip
Midtown — $ 18.50 one-​way, $ 33.00 roundtrip
Downtown — $ 20.50 one-​way, $ 37.00 roundtrip
Compare those prices to Atlanta taxi flat rate zone prices and it’s a no-​brainer which service to use:
Buckhead — $ 42 one-​way
Midtown — $ 34 one-​way
Downtown — $ 32 one-​way
The shuttle service gets most of its business from business travelers. However, you don’t have to be at a hotel, convention center, or business in order to use this service. They can pick you up at your home. If business is slow and there are no scheduled routes or other pick-​ups, the shuttle will take you directly to the airport, just like a cab, Über, or Lyft would.
You can make a reservation and pay online. You can also make a reservation over the phone. If scheduling a same-​day pick-​up, I recommend calling. When making a reservation, give yourself extra time just in case the driver does have to make extra stops before reaching the airport. The drivers have credit card scanners on-​board so you can pay on the way. There’s no tip line on the credit card receipt, so be sure to bring cash to tip the driver.
Reliability is OK. I once scheduled a pick-​up in Atlantic Station for 4:50pm on a weekday. The driver did not get to me until about 5:20pm, 30 minutes late. He made up for it, however, by getting me to the airport in less than 25 minutes during rush hour. I was impressed. He taught me some shortcuts to bypass Downtown Connector (⁷⁵⁄₈₅) traffic that I will be using myself in the future.
The vans aren’t in great condition, but they get the job done. The Atlanta Link had better vehicles. Not sure what happened to that fleet, but the current vehicles seem like a downgrade. In the end, it’s fine as long as I get to and from the airport in a safely and timely manner.
The staff I’ve dealt with have been professional. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them.

Service was recommended by Hyatt Midtown on their website. Called the number listed and it went straight to an answering machine on a Friday night at about 8pm. Called the Hyatt and no one answered that number either. Gave up and went to Super Shuttle.

Decent experience. Let me clarify a few things that seemed sort of unclear from the website.
— If you’re booking a roundtrip in advance on the website, you don’t get to enter your return flight information. Don’t worry about it.
— When you get to the airport (off your flight), go to the ground transportation area, and you’ll get a ticket from the woman at the booth. You can’t just print your email receipt and give it to the driver. The ticket will have 2 tear-​off parts to it. Keep it in a safe place. You will call TAASS 24 hours before your returning flight and give them your pickup info.
Drivers were pretty safe and courteous both ways.

Counter at the Airport needs at least a person all the time to process the payment quick.
Also, they pick me up a little early which is good that I won’t miss a flight, but a bit too early to pick up is a problem. If they go to Buckhead, they should stop at south Buckhead first then Buckhead.

Visiting Atlanta for business and was very happy with my experience. I was able to pay and get my vouchers in the airport by baggage claim. My driver was super pleasant and it didn’t take long to get to my hotel. Pick up from the hotel was prompt as well. I will use the next time I’m in town!

I use this service very often. I almost exclusively use them monthly for my trips to and from the airport.
They have always been on time for pick ups and the drivers are always nice.
Until today that is. Today on my return trip home they waited and waited at the airport until the van was 100% full. I enjoy car pooling but there were two other empty vans there waiting. And here we are 90% full and they still wait to see if they can get more people on. Also the driver was not friendly and taking personal calls. Instead of speaking to her customers she just waved at us to get on the bus because she was having a personal conversation.
Oh yea, and then she made a personal call while driving — it wasn’t anything urgent just gossiping. What that tells me is that this driver doesn’t put much value in safety.
I will continue to use them because the other times I’ve used them the service was fabulous. However I’m going to be complaining about the bad service today.

Called and made a reservation to be picked up from Midtown. Everything seemed fine, they requested I pay via their website.
While my flight was 0650AM, they requested I be ready at 4AM for pickup. I’d do that for the cheap fare. However over an hour later no one showed up. Their dispatch never picked up the phone and I was forced to use a taxi.
Their unprofessional website and use of a rudimentary PayPal payment system should be an indicator of the type of business this is.
At the end, I lost an hour of sleep waking up early, being stood out on the cold for nearly an hour and had to take a taxi again.
Don’t let the low prices fool you. They are a, dare I say it, a scam.

Arrived in Atlanta and wanted to head downtown. Upon walking up to the the ticket booth, I was greeted by a young woman who was talking on her BlueTooth. Instead of hanging up the phone, she continued to talk throughout the transaction.
The shuttle ride in was pleasant and I had good conversation with the driver. At one point, while talking about the recent Atlanta snow and ice, the driver commented, as long as people had their «alcohol and crack», then they were good. Hmmm, ok?
I scheduled a pickup 24+ hours in advance, as the ticket recommends. I was told the pickup would be at 12:38pm, so I arrived at 12:25 to be ready. By 1pm, the shuttle had not arrived. I called into the number provided, and was told «the driver picked up everyone that was there and even called in a number for total guests.» When I let the dispatcher know that wasn’t the case and the shuttle didn’t show, she got extremely rude to me, saying it was my probably my fault I didn’t see the shuttle. She ended the conversation by saying, «sir, what do you want me to do?!» Perhaps picking up the guests as scheduled would be a good start.
I was finally picked up at 1:13pm, and after making stops at least 5 other hotels, stopped final hotel so others could pay. This seemed like a huge waste of time for people waiting to get to the airport and had already paid.
The total trip from downtown to airport was 45 minutes. At $ 16 per person, a taxi is a quicker and possibly cheaper option if you have 2 or more in your party.
Would not recommend this company to others!

Bought a round trip ticket when I got to town. At the office out on the street. It smelled interestingly smokey and it seemed the guy working was barely paying attention. Got on the van leaving the airport I had to wait nearly half an hour as they tried to get more people in the van. Once they got three we left. There were 3 vans there though so the wait seemed a little unnecessary. But this wasn’t so bad, I just got to town and wasn’t in a huge hurry.
For the return trip I had an early morning flight. I called to make a reservation and they had very specific times, so I chose the later one. Because of the specificity I gathered they would be prompt, but this was not the case. Called when they were 5 mins late and they said it be 5 more minutes. Called again ten minutes later and they said 2 minutes, but after another 10 minutes I took a cab and made it to the airport with minutes to spare. I had to eat the 2^nd half of the pre purchased round trip ticket because I couldn’t risk missing my flight. For a service like this being on time is key as schedules are specific. And at 6 AM there shouldn’t have been any traffic delays.
The service is cheap. The round trip ticket was less than the one way cab ride, but you’re on their unpredictable schedule. Be sure to leave padding.

Used the shuttle service to get to and from the Hyatt Regency. Great price for round trip. Shuttle was on time and easy to use. Also easy to find in airport.

You make a reservation and then sit for 20 minutes before the shuttle actually leaves. Boo! My driver was in a heated conversation with someone on the phone and I couldn’t help wondering if that’s what the hold up was??? For $ 18.50, the service should be a tad better.

in august 2012, i used the atlanta airport shuttle service to get to and from a buckhead hotel for a convention. both drivers were very nice, on time and excellent drivers (which is rare these days for shuttle drivers that i’ve had with other agencies). special thanks to JOHNNY M and PAT H. your welcome to atlanta and your goodbye helped make my visit there even more special.
would have given 5 stars, but the dispatcher, C, was so rude each time i called that one star remains to be filled… hopefully by someone who enjoys her/​his job.

Worst shuttle service I have ever encountered.
Why make reservations if they are going to be late!!!
When we return for our next conference to Atlanta, we will not be using this company!

Leaving the airport, they were pretty slow
Getting my friend from our hotel they were late and took so long at other stops that he missed his flight
Picking me up from the hotel, they were late
Wasted about 30 min. waiting on other people and circling the block to stall for time so they could have a full van
Either give yourself a good sized cushion for time or take a cab instead
