We went there on a Friday night. It wasn’t too busy but it took a waiter awhile to acknowledge us. The double shrimp roll was great! As an appetizer we ordered calamari. The portion size of the calamari was enough to feed four people!

Visiting from Las Vegas, NV. We walked in, wasn’t acknowledged, there was a server standing at the host stand. I ASKED do we need to seat ourselves, he didn’t look up. We already felt like we should turn around, but eventually another gentlemen came up and sat us. We were seated for 5 min, no one ever stopped by to ask for drinks or greet us. The restaurant seats about 35 people and there were only 3 people in the establishment. I would understand if they were slammed. We straight up walked out and the guy at the hostess stand still didn’t look up. I’m honestly glad they were rude, there was an awesome phở restaurant down the street on Gresham called So BA! Awful service, terrible server and host

Friendly wait and bar staff. Dimmed lighting, intimate setting perfect for date nights. Thai and Sushi is exactly what it sounds like and they do an amazing job with both cuisines. The tempura shrimp maki roll is one of the best I’ve had at any sushi restaurant. Pair it with a large hot sake and you’ve got yourself a great meal. The Paid Thai come with options of chicken, shrimp of tofu and each is equally amazing. Thai food here comes in large portions so be ready to share or take some home. This restaurant is situated right on the perimeter of East Atlanta Village and is a great place to start a date before taking a stroll down flat shoals and glenwood.

I recently moved to East ATL so I was all excited for this to be my new sushi place. I was surprised at how nice the inside looks compared to the outside but the surprises didn’t stop there, unfortunately. I ordered miso soup which was okay and then I ordered an avocado roll and and an eight dollar veggie roll. I normally stick with avocado rolls but the veggie roll sounded really good. It was supposed to have asparagus, avocado, shitake mushrooms, and I think carrots or something like that. Well when the roll came out– it had shredded carrots, cucumbers, and beets. No lie. We asked the server why the roll was nothing like what it said it was going to be on the menu and she said«we are out of asparagus» «he never puts the mushrooms in», and«whenever you put the avocado in it gets mushy»… So… yeah…needless to say I was a bit annoyed. Why list something one way on the menu and it’s nothing like that when served? I would never pay $ 8 for a roll with raw beets and carrots. I asked the server if she was still going to charge the same and she called the manager and he agreed to ½ off. What a crock. Then, when I got my bill they overcharged for the roll($ 9) instead of $ 8. The whole experience was just annoying and sketch. I wont be going back to this place.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a few months now. We love the monday/tuesday night specials. The service is always great EXCEPT for last time. Last monday we were waited on by «Damien». We sat for 10 minutes while he talked before he asked what we wanted to drink. I had to order with the bartender because he disappeared for who knows why. Every other time we have been to EAV thai and sushi, the waiters have been awesome.

Decent sushi but the service is lacking. We had rolls and edamame because arcosy across the street had a wait. Overall meh. Servers could use a lesson or a pep talk.

We always get take-out and I’m always pretty impressed with how good it turns out. And I can be picky about sushi so that’s saying something, I guess!

I ordered the panang curry with the addition of salmon. I placed a to go order via phone and completed it with ease. I did have to wait a while at the bar to even get the bartenders attention. The food was pretty good but I thought the price was a little high for the amount of food received. I may try this place for their discount sushi night.

POORSERVICE I’m convinced they need a new bartender who knows how to provide better service. I had a strong desire for Thai Fried Rice and decided to try this place. I placed a to go order that took over 40min and still wasn’t ready. When the bartender was taking my order she wasn’t fully aware and did not hear me as she was too busy trying to hold additional conversations. When I had questions concerning the menu she wasn’t helpful nor was she attentive. After 40 minutes and after an inquiry in which I was told«well… I’m not making the food… So I don’t know how much longer it will be.» I then decided that I was no longer going to wait. Incredibly dark… It’s hard to read the menu.

I used to come here for the dollar sushi but decided to stop coming. My boyfriend and I were regulars until one night it took over an hour to get our food. There were people who came in 30 to 45 minutes after us and got their food and even finished their food before we got ours. The manager said he was going to take care of us bc of the ridiculousness that night. He took care of us alright, he gave us a measly 15% off and conveniently left to go pick up something when we wanted to confront him about it. Every time we went here it took a long time to get our food. We put up with it because it was cheap sushi but I’m done with them.

Not the best service, and they apparently don’t open until 5pm on Tuesday evenings. I called at 4:47 and was told I couldn’t place an order because they weren’t open. Just an FYI.

Let me start by saying this was the most entertaining lunch ever! Okay so we arrived and as soon as my friend opened the door he got a horrible splinter! Don’t worry, he survived — after i performed«operation remove door splinter» on his hand. Took what felt like an hour just to get it out(we nudged the door to get out after that experience lol). It was open seating so we sat close to the window where there was natural sunlight coming in since the place was pretty dark. The waiter came over pretty quickly to hand us our menu’s and while we had a flick through he returned with ONE glass of water LOL!!! I laugh because luckily he gave the water to me — don’t think my friend was impressed at all. Soon after the waiter returned with a second glass. We ordered some drinks and a small starter and some sushi which was great. Only problem is my sushi came on two plates… i had ordered a «double tempura roll» & i asked the waiter twice if this is how it comes, which he confirmed… only later to see double the charge on my bill… great! The refills were nice and other than the near death splinter experience, it wasn’t too bad here. Would deffo go again… may wear gloves next time though! Lol!

Horrible service!!! The short chubby girl bartender that worked last night didn’t smile not once and seemed annoyed when I asked for utensils and a napkin… Everyone working was so caught up in closing everything up at 10 pm that they didn’t give good service at all. They were ready to be done! Lol Thats fine but at least make me feel a little welcomed! Dag! Then the food wasn’t good on top of that! I ordered the Spring rolls which were frozen inside still!!! And the yummy yummy roll was not as yummy as I thought it would be … Been here once before and it was cool, this time not so much… Don’t think I will be going back… Guess if you want good service go during the day not a whole hour before they close… :-/disappointed…

Came here because a friend told me about the $ 2 sushi special on Monday and Tuesday! YES $ 2! Naturally as a sushi lover I had to check it out. They have outdoor seating which is nice. Steps of service are always important to me, so that was really good. Sushi is delicious and you’re getting more than what you’re paying for. Definitely would recommend coming here.

After an extended soul food binge. I needed something filling but light. First thing that came to mind was Thai. I love red curry and the local spot only had Panang. Not the same. I drove out here and was glad to see there was free parking in the back. I went in and I think I was the first customer. The guy was nice and patient with me. I got to go. Red curry lunch special(8.95) and a Cali roll.(5.50). I asked for my curry mild because the spices usually settle on the drive back. They actually listened to me ! Most Thai places don’t and I’m caught gobbling down my food with a pitcher of water. My food was tasty. The ginger salad dressing was sweet but not bad. My California roll was a California roll. The guy asked if he would see me tomorrow and they just may. I want to try the pad Thai They have LUNCHSPECIALS. Take advantage.

This restaurant is located in East Atlanta Village. I was in the area and wanted some Thai food, so I stopped in for lunch. We were the first ones in for lunch, so we sat down immediately. I have to say that I thought the prices were high for lunch. Most items were $ 8.95 and came with miso soup or a salad with ginger dressing. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai with the salad. It was very good and not too sweet, which is a problem sometimes. Fresh bean sprouts set it off nicely along with the crushed peanuts. It tasted even better the next day when I had the leftovers for lunch. I was happy with my selection. I also got to taste the Pad See U. It was deliciously flavorful and I had a problem staying out of my companion’s plate to her playful chagrin. It was very good, to say the least. We also ordered some spring rolls, which were fresh out the grease, crispy, and hot just like I expect them to be. All in all, I thought the food here was pretty darn good and the portions were alright. Again, lunch prices are a bit steep and that’s a downer. Service was great though. There is plenty of free parking in the back of the restaurant. I’m sure I’ll be back again.
