I want to like this place and give it more than 3 stars but I just can’t. I heard so many good things about it too which is why this sucks but it honestly wasn’t that good. The shrimp and calamari appetizer was drenched in some salty sauce almost like a teriyaki or sweet brown sauce. It was too much. The drinks weren’t that good honestly I could make better drinks at home. Eh. Just eh.

It’s hard to decide which I love more: those incredible deviled eggs or the awesome bartender, Joey! Joey was the perfect waiter/bartender. He made sure that I had everything I needed within a timely manner throughout my entire time there. He was pleasant to me and every other customer at the bar. Those deviled eggs were absolutely perfect! They aren’t what I’m used to(given the fact that I am from Texas), but they were absolutely scrumptious! They were good to the point where I would visit here just to order the eggs. The only reason this restaurant gets a 4 and not a 5 is because the drinks were NOT good to me. I had three different mixed drinks and all of them were nasty to me. On top of that, they were not what I would consider«strong» and I felt completely sober the entire night.

Had their chicken salad sandwich today(UberEats). After finding(the hard way, once almost choking) 4 bones in it, I threw the rest away. I each chicken salad quite often and don’t even remember the last time I found a bone. No thanks.

Delicious. Just finished having cocktails and dinner before seeing a play next door. Try the peaches and pepper sangria cocktail. Fantastic.

Amazing food, comfortable atmosphere, and phenomenal service! What more could you ask for? Everything I’ve tried on the menu so far has been delicious. This is our third time visiting and not one of my guests, nor I, have had any complaints. The menu changes regularly, so there’s always something new to look forward to. Every addition is just as delicious as the last. All of their pastas are homemade, their Peruvian meats(a popular customizable dish) are marinated in a homemade hot sauce and then smoked in house. The smoked meat options include springer chicken, sliced brisket, and ribs. For the meat plate you have the option of choosing one, a pair, or a combination of all 3 proteins(named the 3 amigos), as well as 2 sides. Another dish TP is known for is the deviled eggs, which are the best darn deviled eggs I’ve ever tasted(we ordered 2 additional plates once our first order was gone). Each egg is topped with a burnt end(a fatty delicious amazing end piece of brisket), as well as a thin slice of breakfast radish which adds a much appreciated crunch. These are just a few of the truly amazing options their menu has to offer. Apart from the food, the alcohol selection is on point! Between the craft beer, amazing wine list, and extensive spirits selection, you’re sure to find something you love. Their unique cocktails are composed of fresh ingredients and have a complex flavor profile that you won’t want to miss out on! For instance, the«Peachtree and Spring» is a fun play on the classic Manhattan, while the«Herbal Remedy» is a Tavernpointe original. This unique cocktail involves a Rosemary infused vodka, strawberry & bell pepper syrup, and fresh squeezed lime juice, all of which are prepared in house. You can’t get any fresher than that! As far as atmosphere goes, I cannot emphasize enough how comfortable and inviting the restaurant is. Whether you are dressed casually or more on the formal side, you will fit right in and the accommodating staff will make you feel at home. All in all, I’d recommend a visit to Tavernpointe to anyone who loves good food and a fun night out!

Stopped at this restaurant based off their awesome Unilocal reviews. Our service was exceptional. We went in around 3– so our group was the only group in the restaurant. The host/server who helped us let us try samples and went above and beyond to make for a wonderful experience. The food was tasty as well! I got the chicken taco and a Bloody Mary! Yum!

A Saturday night at Tavernpointe. Not being from ATL, but just visiting, I cannot understand how they are not banging down the door of this place. Service was spot on. Drinks were great. Food was perfect for a gastropub. Great atmosphere as well. Wake up ATL… you need to get your ass here and check it out. You will not be disappointed. We started with house drinks. I had a bourbon based drink that was sort of a play on and Old Fashion, but spicy. With a perfect globe ice cube, this drink was a perfect starter. So good, I had a second one as the night wore on. We started with an appetizer of poutine and wings. Poutine was fries, some great queso cheese that melted into the background, a little salsa and brisket for meat. So yummy almost had to make this my dinner. The wings were Asian flare and so tender, they fell off the bone. Maybe a little less sauce would have been good, but all in all, just great. For main dish I went with the smoked brisket. There was so much food with this dish I didn’t know where to start. Two huge slabs of perfectly smoked brisket with some spicy coleslaw to merge it with. Came with a side which I choose the spaghetti squash.(Trying to be a little healthy). Spaghetti squash was a little sweet and smokey… a great side and more than enough for at least two people. Also came with your own skillet corn bread which was delicious. Served in the mini skillet it was cooked in, it was perfectly crispy but full of corn flavor. Wife had the fish which was Mediterranean style with capers, olives, tomatoes. It was perfectly flakey and delicious. We were with my son and his GF. She had a side of macaroni and cheese. OMG, it was so cheesy and delicious… some of the best I have ever had. Everyone loved their meals. Add good solid service and interesting drinks and you can’t go wrong. Come on ATL. wake up. You need to put Tavernpointe on your list of places to check out. You will totally enjoy it.

Great atmosphere, good food and good drinks. The bartender made my group some shots that smelled weird, but tasted great! They had vodka, cucumber, and something else –lemon maybe. The calamari was delicious.

Fiancé stopped in Atlanta for one night on our cross country road trip and dined here. They had a special. We were so impressed with Tavernpointe and would consider it one of our best dining experiences ever. Everything from the food to the service to the ambiance was top notch. Fast and free valet parking. A beautiful upscale but casual environment. Friendly attentive server who took the time to go over the menu with us and answer any questions we had. Checked in with us many times and never let the water glasses get half empty. And don’t get me started on the food. It was amazing! I had the risotto with mushrooms and local vegetables and it was to die for. Can I be buried in it? My fiancé ordered the local burger and he claimed it was the best burger he has ever had. This man orders a burger everywhere we dine, so he knows his stuff. The have house cocktails on tap which is super cool. I had the julep and it was delicious and so fresh. We were blown away by this restaurant and made an excellent choice for our one night in Atlanta. Thank you Tavernpointe for making it an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommended this for couples, date night, romantic occasion, special occasion, a nice place to take family or friends if visiting, or girls night. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for small children but I’m sure they could accommodate if you brought any. A plus experience! Look forward to returning if I ever get a chance to return to Atlanta.

My experience at Tavernpointe was great top to bottom. Our server was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. She was even so nice to let us know what we would and would not like based on our flavor profiles. I mention this because most waiters would just say yes everything is good or say they haven’t tried it. The food was also delightful. My wife had the half chicken and half brisket plate which was very good. The only draw back was the sides were not as good as they could have been. She had the mashed potatoes and cornbread. I had the fish and chips which came out great. You could taste how fresh the fish was which is always a treat. The cocktails. This restaurant offers a great selection of signature cocktails and beers that you won’t find at every bar. Even if you are not a fan of selecting craft beer they have a $ 3 beer on draft that is actually worth the money. All and all this is a great restaurant and I will definitely be returning with friends.

Okay, time for an update. Since the last review, on business, I have been back several times and have eaten most things on the menu. I would upgrade to maybe even 4.5 stars. Not quite 5 «as good as it gets» due to still some misses on food but this place is rock solid. First, beer. Not sure about now but they have had Duchesse de Bourgogne on tap for several months. I mean, comon. Ridiculous Flemish ale. Go get some!!! One time I was there they had some comp pretzels floating around the bar. I didn’t want to fill up on carbs because a big dinner was coming but eventually, the Korean in me rose up and I couldn’t turn down free food. I have to say, the pretzel was surprisingly good. Crusty, chewy, salty and there was some spice on it. Cumin? Anyway, it gave it a funky taste which I liked but others might not. Asked for some grainy mustard which was nicely brought out and a good addition. Best thing I’ve had there? Deviled eggs. Whaaaaat. If you remotely like eggs, get this. The burnt ends on this make it craaaaaajy. Best deviled eggs I have had. I will get this every time I am here. Also excellent: –meatballs. Whoa. Nice smokey flavor, awesome. 3 large balls. Yep. –lamb chops. Slightly salty but no gamey flavor and tasty, well cooked. Smoked chicken wings, baked oysters, and steak frite were also all good, nothing amazing. Price to quality ratio might be slightly on the higher side but still reasonable. Service at least for the private room has always been good. At the bar, spotty. I am not kidding, I sat down for maybe 5 uncomfortable minutes(not busy) with no acknowledgement then some other dude sits down and he is served immediately. Then I felt I was being corrected on the pronunciation of duchesse but I didn’t take it personally. At least I was getting my beer. Nice cocktails. I mean, comon. If you are in the area and hungry, come here. None of the food is bad. Some are much better than others but find what you like. It’s a cool spot.

Tavernpointe is decent, but I wouldn’t tell anyone it’s a must-try. Our server had a difficult time answering questions and describing items on the menu, but everyone else we came across was extremely friendly and also knowledgeable. What I like about this place is that they’ve put their own interpretation on classics. For example, the spaghetti carbonera was made with spinach and carrot pasta. Also, they had a squid ink gnocchi with a rabbit ragu that was really delicious. Their Poutine is not traditional Poutine, but you cant go wrong with french fries topped with meat, cheese and salsa. I’d say give this place a try if you are in the area. The only downside is the atmosphere is kind of dull. Most of their tables and the entire bar was empty on a Saturday night. They currently are on Scoutmob, and it’s a great deal!

I love this place. Casual enough to warrant jeans. Formal enough to warrant your attention. And a commitment to please your palate with real attention to flavors. Flavor is the first thing on the agenda. Spice combinations and flavor profiles get a lot of attention. Fresh ingredients are top notch. There’s something of a nod to the international scene with fresh-house-made pastas, Peruvian-style meats, and charcuterie. There’s a casual flair with chicken wings and the occasional corn dog. There’s a mixologist who will rock your socks right off. For example, try the Pepe Martinez cocktail. This thing is created with Broker’s gin, coffee, vermouth, Galliano, and flamed absinthe. The results are smooth. And tasty. And there are other fun things on the bar menu, vintage cocktails, hand-crafted masterpieces, jerk-sodas, local beers and what looks like a very nice wine list. Tavernpointe is located on the ground floor of an office building near Ansley Park. My only complaint about the location is the comparative lack of parking(complimentary valet is your best bet). The restaurant itself is very nicely appointed: dark and intimate, exposed brick and wood, open kitchen, long tables, and smaller, intimate ones, too. I had the smoked, sliced brisket. This is a total crowd pleaser. Smoky and tender. Salt & pepper rub and a not-too-intrusive marinade. It was delicious. As was the tortellini dish we had. It had blueberries in it. They used the blueberries to offset the richness of the tortellini. My friend says this«may have been the best pasta I’ve ever had.» She wasn’t too thrilled with the bacon wrapped figs we had, but I loved them. There are many things to explore on the menu. I’ll look forward to my next trip there. Holler if you’re coming with.

We really enjoyed our meal! The service was very good. It was our first time so we tried a lot. Food: it’s tavern food. hearty more than fine, but it is done quite well. The deviled eggs were good. The chicken wings were good. The oysters rockafeller were very good, although we had to ask that they be broiled for a few minutes more. The brisket poutine was really excellent and extremely decadent. Should be shared, if you know what’s good for you. The chicken tacos were good. The Mac and cheese was excellent. The hamburger was excellent, however I would recommend getting it without the bacon. The beef was so good, it was a distraction. The brisket sandwich was excellent. The fries we found a bit chewy. The chocolate pie was good and the bourbon ice cream was very good. The coffee was very good. We very much enjoyed our experience and will go back!

Super underwhelmed based on my dish. Got the Cobb salad and the vinegarette alone was so tart and vinegary it overwhelmed the Salad. Then combined with the pickled eggs I could barely eat it. Next time I’ll know to get it on the side. Ack. I do like the feel of the communal tables and exposed brick and wood. Looks like a great spot for drinks. Perhaps next time I’ll pick a different dish and have a better opinion of the food.

This was a surprise. A very wonderful surprise. Pleasant atmosphere and actually possible to talk at dinner. I had beet salad, mac and cheese, smoked chicken, broccoli rapini coleslaw and crème brûlée. Way more then I could eat. I did not love the coleslaw but admire the idea. Everything was carefully prepared and well thought out right down to the home made ketchup. Average in price but exception value. I’ll be back and I live in Detroit.

Read about Tavern Pointe on Zagat Atlanta recently so I decided to check it out. Love the interior! Place definitely has a cool vibe. We started with the meat and cheese board and the poutine. The poutine is average. I might be too critical though because I just had some great poutine in Montréal relatively recently. The meat and cheese board has a red onion marmalade that I definitely recommend. I was between the brisket and the steak frites, so I ended up getting the combo plate that has brisket and chicken, and split it with my buddy who got the steak frites. The steak frites were phenomenal!!! Great flavor and perfectly cooked. The brisket was also very good. The chicken was just ok, I would have been ok just splitting brisket and steak frites.

Overall outstanding! We sat outside and enjoyed this midtown Peachtree spot. Their emphasis on tasty smoked meats is a solid theme across the menu of small plates, salads and entrees. The acclaimed Oysters Rockerfeller are up to billing and the chicken entrees are excellent. The Georgian Shrimp & Grits are possibly the best I’ve had… We were early(7:30) and the manager happened to be our server so service was exceptional. Well done and look forward to heading back soon.

Tavernpointe is located at the northern end off midtown almost into Buckhead. It was previously an Italian restaurant that closed and the space sat vacant for at least a year. I live nearby and walk past often. I was looking forward to trying Tavernpointe since it is in my neighborhood. We decided to go on a Tuesday evening for cocktails and light eats for the first try. Complimentary valet is available and I think the only option. The renovation of the space is very well done. I like the wood and high tops in the bar area. The view out to Peachtree is great. There are«draft» cocktails and a nice list of speciality cocktails as well. Draft beers are available as well. Ordered the draft blueberry mint julep. I thought it has too sweet. I understand that the folks from Grain are involved in the bar service. I love the draft old fashioned at Grain. This julep did not match up. For food started with the twice cooked chicken wings. I’m not sure what they mean by twice cooked, the wings seemed to be standard fried wings, but lacking flavor. There was a white sauce with cumin that came with the wings. I did not like it at all. I used some house made hot sauce that wasn’t bad just to eat them. It just did not work. Next ordered a iceberg wedge with blue cheese, salami, almonds, dressed with a ranch type dressing. It was average, nothing special yet priced at $ 12! We thought of ordering the succotash which has recieved good reviews. However, we asked the couple next to us who ordered it what they thought and they were not Impressed. So, last we ordered the white chicken chile. The dish was a hearty portion for $ 9. Again it was just average; the color and flavor was just not appetizing. I am hoping that the entrees are better. They will need to be in order to attract patrons and separate themselves, especially at their price point. The space is very nice and I think there is potential. For now though, I can not give more than two stars. I will be back to sample the entrees and update my review.

Best burger I have had in very long time. Excellent service. Love the fact they carry Blenheim ginger ale from South Carolina, goes well with Ron Matusalem rum!
