I’ve been to the Emory Village site for several years, but after one particularly horrific experience there, was on the lookout for a better option. I took Annika F’s advice and had my hair done by Angel — she’s fabulous! Throughout the entire experience she was very pleasant, made just the right amount of small talk, and kept checking to be sure I was happy with the way things were going, adjusting as needed. And she’s excellent — this is the best haircut I’ve had in years.
Everyone in the place seems very friendly. At one point while I was waiting, the mailman came in and one of the ladies sung out, «Hello Mr. Mailman!» to which he responded cheerily. It just feels like one of those places where the employees actually enjoy working here. I’ll be back!

At Check In this place is The Epicenter of Complete Chaos in the Universe and they don’t give a flyin’ shit.
I waited 45 minutes, am next and the lady (I use the term loosely) that’s supposed to wait on me next (she knows I’ve been waiting a while) decides to skip out for lunch & as she leaves: get this: she looks directly at me and smiles on her way out the door (like saying «fuck you»)…
So I guess I was just supposed to sit there and wait while the other Stylist does some hair color or perm or whatever on some lady who just plopped her ass down in the chair??? (who knows how long that would take). I finally got tired of waiting and just left…
I was SO pissed I wrote a letter to their Corporate office in MN and surprise – I never heard a word back (they obviously don’t give a shit either).
I’m DONE with the clown AMATEURS at Supercuts. Now I go to a REAL PROFESSIONAL AND GET THE. BEST HAIRCUTS I’VE EVER HAD.

I rate this Salon 5 stars for one simple reason: LIZA! Liza has been my stylist for years. She used to work at the Cumberland store and is now in Toco Hills. Even though I live in Smyrna, I have no problems driving across town because she is EXCELLENT at what she does. My hair has gone through many changes (relaxed, natural, colored, some hair loss after having a baby) and no matter what’s going on with it, she ALWAYS makes me look FABULOUS!

I go here to get my eyebrows waxed all the time. It is very reasonably priced– only $ 8. The staff is very nice and careful about making sure the proper order of clients. One of the ladies was even nice enough to give me an outside referral to get some hair work done (stuff they don’t do in store). They do not take appointments but you can call ahead. I tried this out and it didn’t really seem to work. I waited just as long. The services here are a la carte so you can pick and choose what you want to get done. You can get just a wash without styling, for example.

If you want a fun haircut experience, Supercuts on La Vista Rd is the place to be. The staff is very cordial and polite, the environment is upbeat and the haircuts are good.
