The only reason I gave them 2 stars because the wings are AMAZING. BUT other than that, the service is so poor. The waitress took our order and then 20 mins later said she was finally putting it in. Oh wow… thanks. As we were waiting ANOTHER20 mins for our food, the waitress had not check in with us once. She instead was talking to «photographer» about a photoshoot she would like to have. FINALLY, we receive our and my boyfriend’s order was wrong. Also… I had a hair in my ranch. There were two, what it looked like mangers there and they could of cared less about the late food. They did not even offer an apology or a discount. I am not one of those people who looks for something to be wrong so I can get something for free. Actually I don’t mind paying for great food and even better service! When the management of an establishment isn’t even on their job, I surely do not expect the staff to be. You can tell this place just cares about the woman being cute and nothing else matters. I will never give this business my money again. Side note pettiness: I really can’t stand a bar that has the audacity to charge $ 10+ a drink, only to be served in plastic. Ugh.(And by drink, I mean liquor with a mixer/juice/soda) I will just go up the street to Joystick, where I can get a craft cocktail. Yes, CRAFT… where they MAKE their own bitters/sodas/mixers and charge you $ 7.00 for it. In an actual glass.

I had such a fun time here! The only reason they are getting three stars is because my quesadilla taste like puke and one of the waitresses is just slow n unprofessional. She didn’t write down or remember anything I ordered, she was slow and just had no concern. The problem with the waiter was dealt with and my other waiter was a dream, loved him! The management was also really cool n made sure I was taken care of! I went on a Tuesday for karaōke randomly and it turned into a good night! People actually did the karaōke, the DJ is on point, drinks were just okay but the energy of the people in the place was fun loving but I probably would only go for karoake or open mic(which I think they host those type of events often) I’ll be back!

Unfortunately, I have to give this place 2 stars for the service. My friends and I walked in around 9:25pm after already having had dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We walk up to the bar and are all standing at the bar, a couple of us order drinks($ 10 drinks) when the manager approaches us and tells us we can sit at the table. At that point, a waiter comes by and another girl orders a drink and then a different waitress comes and asks if we want to order food and we say no(it’s almost 10pm). She comes back several times and then finally one girl orders French fries. The waitress comes back another few times asking again if we wanted to order any food and we kindly responded no thanks. Then the manager(the same one that seated us) comes and she’s upset because we haven’t met this random $ 40 minimum for the table. We(shocked) respond, we weren’t aware of this minimum and that we were happy to vacate the table because we weren’t intending on spending any more money at that bar. She then rudely responds that no, we needed to meet the minimum before she would bring the check. She then condescendingly calls me «sweetheart» and says that between the 6 of us she assumed we could manage a mere $ 40 but I explained to her that it was not our fault and therefore not our obligation to comply because she(and her two employees) did not communicate that nor was it posted anywhere. She then got angry and said«okay I’ll just cash you out.» At that point, we began to gather our things and then she accused us of not having closed out our tabs at the bar despite the fact that we paid for the drinks we bought on the spot. Needless to say, we will not be patronizing this establishment again and nor should you.

this place is amazing. I went on a Monday Night for the singer’s jam. Melissa, the owner is so cool and was so nice. I live in LA and am a singer, and some of Atlanta’s best, all-star talent shows up for this night. There also was a DJ playing some local artists. It was incredible! Reasonable priced and a great space!

Cool place for a kick back. But umm, be cautious — not the safest neighborhood at night. Free parking after 7pm(i think) Don’t quote me on that. It really does have that ol’ school Atlanta vibe though. Don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon Attire: casual, SMART casual.

I have passed by Pal’s for years. For some reason, in my mind, I think this would be an Atlanta hotspot located in the Historic Auburn Business District. We ventured home from downtown this way one evening and finally saw the open sign on. It was karaōke night and two bar stools were calling our names. Everyone was welcoming, the karaōke was entertaining. It’s a cute, cute place. Pal’s gives me the feeling of stepping back in time. A time when when Auburn Ave was a beautiful bustling successful black neighborhood. I loved it. However, the feeling changes when you walk out in 2012. There’s a packed Rave club across the street full of white underage kids. The 75⁄85 connector floats not too far above your head. ~But I can ignore all that out and go back to dreamin’ of old school Atlanta…

If you’re looking for an upscale pretentious setting you won’t find it here. What you will find is a cozy lounge with an array of interesting people. If you give this lil hidden gem a chance I promise she won’t disappoint. Pal’s is my go to spot on Saturday’s. Bartender, Amber, serves up great drinks while soul singer Joi and band take you on a funky ride. You’ll hear classics like Sade’s «Cherish the Day» and Bootsy Collins’ «I’d Rather Be With You». Be adventurous and check ‘em out!

Nice little cozy joint to ease whatever’s on your mind and enjoy yourself. The vibe, for me, is the perfect medium between a dive bar, a juke joint, and a sleek«grown n sexy»(gawd, I hate that term) lounge. The crowd was definitely mature, but not boring and dry as hell. One thing I resent about most establishments that make most of their revenue at the bar is that they make no effort to accommodate teetotalers like myself, or they make you pay for abstaining by jacking the price of drinks up higher than the damn liquor. Pal’s is not one of those places. They no longer have a serviceable kitchen here, but they have someone who brings food in, and everything’s reasonable and decent tasting. I was amazed to find my self at various times eating wings, a fruit salad and cake. It’s just a weird juxtaposition given the setting, LOL. I guess what’s offered depends on the night and who’s bringing in the food. The service was very efficient and friendly, I almost felt like I was at a friend’s live-ass house party. As a matter of fact, that sentiment is a perfect way to encapsulate my overall feelings about Pal’s. So, if you’re still reading, you’re probably wondering why I didn’t rate it 5 stars. One reason. Although the DJ had a dope playlist and kept the small dance floor occupied(there was actually a dance battle going on at one point, LOL), he needs work on the blending skills… but I’m just anal about that sorta thing. I’m sure the DJ varies from night to night, and I’m looking forward to actually catching a live music set. I don’t ever seem to make it on the right night, but hopefully you will :-)
