Smoothie King

Absentee owner/​manager. Operated by staff that’s non-​responsive, not friendly, make errors and no other way to say it — are obviously WASTED. Too expensive for this nonsense.

Not good. Dirty. Not friendly. I go the other places now and I love them. They need to higher some more people that are a bit cleaner

My first time in Atlanta trying out Smoothie King. This location is seemingly old, but when you walk in, you see a huge wall menu which is blocked partially by the high counters. The menu is so complex that I had a really hard time deciding what to get. Customer service gets a zero. No smile, no welcome, the girl just left and didnt come back to the register. She could of said, I will be right with you. I ordered a large Mango smoothie and had banana added. It was over $ 9. Very expensive. Not sure if I will be back.

Came in here a few weeks ago And ordered the pineapple kiwi something smoothie. It was so good. the store associate was really nice. I asked him if he had a peanut butter sample I could treat my canine with and he said yes. Wow the sample size was fantabulous. And then I realized that he actually made a mini smoothie. And didnt charge me, hence the word.“sample” lol. Omygosh that was definitely really cool and nice of the guy. I was really appreciative of that. And my pet absolutely LOVED it. The prices for the smoothies are a little bit high but I believe they put protein in them so that is worth it in the long run I guess. I will be back again in the future. Due to the great customer service i experienced on this visit and at this location. The inside is really small with not really any sitting area, but I guess this is a grab and go type store. Anyways the pineapple was so good and tasteful, with really fresh ingredients. Try them out if you are ever in the Dunwoody area!

I love Smoothie King. I rarely come to this location, but when I do they never fail to please. The service I get is always superb. I always call ahead and my order is ready when I walk in. I get the «Strawberry Kiwi Breeze» smoothie and it is always made to perfection. Some time I’ll get it with the «diet down» powder which works as a dietary supplement to help you get even more full and stay full.
I happened to have a craving this morning so I left the house 10 minutes early to call in and pick up my smoothie. I like smoothie king smoothies because they don’t put the yogurt in them like most places. I don’t like yogurt; never have and I don’t think I ever will. Not sure if I care how good it is for you or not. I just can’t get with it.
I always have a coupon or 2 and although they ask that you print them out I don’t always do that but they always honor the discount (which is a plus).

Smoothie King is hit or miss on service. I have had days where the workers will come out and be talking on the phone on a non-​business call and make me wait until they are done, and I have had days where they have immediately helped me and moved quickly and efficiently to make my smoothie and get me on my way to work.
The smoothies are pretty standard, but I can only speak to the one I drink, the Lean 1 Strawberry. I like it because it is low calorie, strawberries and protein only and not a ton of additives.
Nothing very special about this location. Fits its purpose but does not do anything to make you really want to come back.

For my first time experience here (or a Smoothie King in general), it was okay… A little place snugged amongst other cozy businesses, this is more of like a grab and go place. Well, there were absolutely no place to sit so this is the only option. lol! The guys working the counter were really chill. I was expecting a more friendly customer service experience though…
If I can remember correctly, I had the high protein smoothie since I just came out of an intense one hour workout. The almond mocha was pretty okay. I was expecting something much sweeter though… :p The smoothie was pretty tasty even though it lacked the extra sweet kick I was craving.
But if you’re wanting something healthier, then get the gladiator smoothie since this comes with your choice of two fruits. The gladiator has slightly a tad more protein (either 5, 10, or 15 grams more – I think it was grams). lol.

I would disagree with other Unilocalers, I’ve always had good service here. I think it is either under new management or they took the piss poor Unilocal reviews seriously because they’ve cleaned up their act.
I wish I could give this a 2.5 stars instead of a 3 because of the consistency. I typically get the high protein chocolate smoothie and it is hit or miss here. At other locations like the Buckhead location it always tastes the same; here, not so much. I wonder why???

So I was hesitant to go to this location bc of the previous reviews but I’m pleased to report there were no snot nosed teenagers behind the counter today and they were quick and efficient in moving the line of about 5 customers through and my smoothies tasted just as good as any other location I’ve been going to for years! Maybe they got rid of the brats or maybe it wasn’t their shift, either way, wanted to let people know I was happy to report I had a good experience. And I am extremely critical of good customer service…

If I had a choice… I would travel to the Johns Creek location or Duluth one. But this is the closest to GPC campus. I really hate the service they provide. Employees always have an attitude about something, very snarly about using the app on your phone. Its like they dont want to have your phone scanned. Very disappointing. They do not even want to accept coupons they send out. They will take it (sometimes…) but be prepared for a nasty attitude about it. The smoothie quality is alright, just like the post below, it really depends on who is working. If its a teenager (usually the black or young white guy working), the quality wont be so great. I would not recommend going here. Avoid at all costs.

Went here with my wife. I have been to several locations but I’ll never go back to this location. My wife ordered a smoothie that she always gets. She took a sip and it didn’t taste right so she asked if they could try again. Rather than start over, he just dumped it back into the blender, started adding stuff and blended again. At this point, it didnt taste anything like it was supposed to. We requested a refund since they were unable to make this simple smoothie. He hassled my wife a bit about it but finally gave her money back. I’d never go back to this location. I’ll drive farther to another location before I go here.

Let me start off by saying I LOVE SMOOTHIE KING!!! I hate to even give such a low rating, but this is simply me rating this particular store. Now I’m the type of person that loves a great smoothie, and once I find a good brand, I stick with it. I know lots of people go to Planet Smoothie, but I’m so loyal to Smoothie King, that I can’t seem to go to another brand.
So last week (probably 9÷12÷12) I decided to go to this particular smoothie location because my app said it was the closest, even though it was about 20 mins away. I had a bit of time, so I figured why not. Well I got inside and was greeted by a very nice female in the store alone and she took my order and began to make all of 3 of the smoothies I ordered. During this time, several others walked into the store and I felt kinda bad because she was in there alone. Just as I was thinking that, a male entered the store and went behind the counter to help ring me up. I even complimented him on how quickly he just jumped into the flow of things. I paid and took the 3 smoothies. Well on the drive to drop 2 of the smoothies off to my hubby and co-​worker, I looked at the smoothies and noticed they were very «liquidey.» A smoothie should have some form of a thick consistency (but less than a milkshake). If I wanted just a liquid drink, I could go to any fast food restaurant. Anyway, when I got to the location to drop them off, I called Smoothie King and let them know about it and I was told I would have to come back so they could see it. Well, 1 of the smoothies was done correctly.
So I made the trek back to Smoothie King (another 20 mins). I was a bit annoyed because by this time, I had an appt to get to with only 10 mins to spare. I get there and the guy asks what the problem and is and what I want him to do about it. Rude! He made the smoothie over and just says «here you go.» No apology, nothing! A simple acknowledgement of me having to drive there twice (cost of gas not cheap and time is valuable). So I said «are you going to say something about me having to come all the way back? Apology? Anything?» Then he says «well I can’t give you money.» Really?!? When do I mention money?! Wow! I proceeded to tell him that it is an inconvenience to your customers to have them order something and it not be done right and you don’t even apologize and then think they’re asking for freebies! I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager and there was nothing he could do to help me, not even just refund it and keep his LIQUID smoothie!
So I got his name, Aaron, and I looked up the number for the store I usually go to in Sandy Springs. I called to ask for a number I could complain. Well, lo and behold, the person that answered was the owner for both stores! At first he seemed a bit rude, but after explaining what happened he understood and even said, «if you’re going to pay $ 5 or $ 6 for a smoothie, you expect it to be done correctly.» I was quite impressed. As someone that also has employees, I would expect them to value customers. I believe the owner was Jeff, and he offered to remake all of the smoothies free of charge at that location. Wow! I wasn’t expecting that, because I just wanted to let him know that you don’t keep loyal customers by treating them the way Aaron did. If I pass up another smoothie location just to patronize your location, I should at least get an apology for an inconvenience.
Well sorry Unilocalers for the long review, but businesses need to know that they can’t treat customers anny way they want and expect us not to let others know about it. The owner said more training would be done and correctly making smoothies, etc. I haven’t picked up my free smoothies yet, but I hope to meet the owner when I do and thank him for actually listening to a customer complaint.

Reviewing Jamba Juice reminded me that I have never reviewed my nearby Smoothie King!
I always get the same thing: Green Tea Tango, skinny, with mango. Depending on who is working that day, the smoothie quality may vary. Most of the time, I am happy with it. It is on the pricey side, but I don’t go there often.
One annoying thing, though. They don’t seem to accept online coupons, even though they email them out and have them available on their website. The guy explained that people had started abusing the coupons and were re-​using them, but if that is the case, why even continue to offer the coupons? It seems almost sneaky to me because people go into the store thinking they can use their coupon and then when they find out they can’t, they end up paying full price for their smoothie anyway.
That time that I tried to use a coupon that was emailed to me, the guy took pity and offered the smoothie I wanted at a discount. It was a small compensation, but it’s the principle here.
