2÷20÷16 Met a friend for lunch on the rooftop. It was moderately busy. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. The beer was good. The shrimp & scallops were very bland and tasted like they were frozen vs. fresh. The calamari was HORRIBLE! It was deep fried and yet limp, it was by far the worst I’ve ever had. I won’t be back!

One of my favorite restaurants. I really enjoy their fried catfish and zucchini fries… The okra too. I love that they make all their own sauces. The wasabi soy is my favorite. Horseradish dill is good as well. I usually sit at the bar and typically don’t have much trouble with service unless it’s packed or they’re beating closing. However, everyone is really nice. If you do sit at the bar, the menus are located in front of you near the napkins.

First of all, we were told an hour wait end up being two hours. Very unorganized place. The tall manager Bo walked passed our table three times and never acknowledged us once. He was to involved and concern with the KY teams here visiting Atlanta, Ga.(I rather not pull the race card for him not acknowledging us). Lastly the food was greasy and fries were cold.

The wait was long but not bad tonight. The waitress was really cool and helpful. The food was not the best. If you are looking for great food this is not the place. The food wasn’t worth me visiting again.

Went Saturday night and service was good. Food was so, so. I had the scallops basket and side of grits. Basket was very small. Grits were good as usual. Scallops, though I can’t see why, were not so good. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. Not good at all. Service gets a thumbs up. Food, on this night, thumbs down.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Been there 3x, food is nice and the vibe is cool. Still haven’t experienced the roof top and cant wait to go next time to check out the view.

Very good food. Had the rat toes, mouse toes, fried green tomatoes and catfish fingers. Excellent! Fried fish tacos were very good as well.

Absolutely amazing food… visiting from California and i was very happy with the service and food. The silver Margarita wasn’t that great but the food made up for it. See you the next time I’m in Atlanta.

Easy location to find and easy parking. I loved the food I ordered but our party waited quite a while to get it. The place can be a bit sports bar like downstairs and I think more like a regular restaurant upstairs in the open are seating. Everything is absolutely delicious so I love the food always!

I decided to check this restaurant out while I visited Atlanta. It was super busy and we had to wait awhile for our seats. While we waited we were able to sit at the bar and order our food. Finally, we were seated upstairs and outside. The view was horrible because the restaurant is right across the street from a cemetery. The food was good though. I’d recommend waiting for indoor seats if you visit this restaurant.

Wanted to have a solo night without the bf. Came and sat at the bar. I was initially probably Unilocaling to see what the consensus of the recommendation of the most popular items were. Some time had passed and I looked around for some acknowledgement. That’s finally when I got my greet like«what’ll have». I had to ask for both menus. Took some time and then ordered my drink. It fell flat. But because I like basil and cucumber in my cocktail I figured it will do. So I initially came for some crab cakes. But saw the crab/salmon entrée with asparagus. Got a seal of approval from the female bartender and proceeded with my selection. I asked for Medium rare Salmon. From here I don’t know what to critique first. I’ll start and end with the positive. The asparagus were nice and crisp like I like. But taste less. The salmon and crab were completely bland and my salmon was overcooked. The salmon looked and tasted like it came from the frozen food section out of a bag at Kroger. And that grits/corn mash stuff reminded me of baby food. All in all at total waste of time. But wait there is more. Sat at the bar again for a good 10 min and no one asked me how anything was. Even when I pushed my food aside to look for other options to satisfy my hunger. I just get up to leave not before briefly telling a manager about my experience who says. «Sorry about that. We’ll take of your meal. I’ll be back with a couple gift cards» She comes back with one $ 5 card and apologies again. Whew. I came because I had a gift card in the first place. Too bad the holidays are over to use it as a stocking stuffer. I won’t back. I wasted a hour of my life and I am still hungry.

Ok, so going with what I know here… We were actually trying to go to Mi Barrio(Mexican) on Memorial, but they were closed. Saw this place, and was like yes, a fish place ok. As I scoured the menu for a fish sandwich, I came up empty. I had to ask the waitress. Apparently its a po’ boy down here, Hey I dunno, I’m from Michigan. I subbed the Catfish po’ boy for Cod. I love fish sandwiches. It was good. I would have really really liked a pickle with my fish sandwich though. Also fried pickles would be good. Maybe the pickles with a sandwich is a northern thing? Come on give me a pickle! Its like the bow-tie for the sandwich!!! Fries good, malt vinegar already on the table! Whatever tartar sauce they buy or make is good. Zuchinni fries were just OK, but thats just my opinion. If I made em, I’d slice them bigger. Maybe I’m thinking of pickles again though, I dunno. Atmosphere– Pretty cool. Lots of antique beer cans, boxes, etc, in industrial warehouse atmosphere. Friendly service. I like this place, everything was done decently. They even have Michigan beer.(Bell’s-two hearted ale) Kid friendly. The other pro or con is its kind of sport’s bar esque with a buncha TV’s around. I’ll be back.

Disappointing. I came here on a Wednesday night with a group of friends, about 8 of us. The beer selection was pretty decent, but the food was not great. Won’t be back unless I am coerced to by friends. FOOD: I ordered the Salmon Salad and I was very disappointed. I’ve heard good things about this place for their seafood, but alas, my salmon was overcooked and not well-flavored. AMBIANCE: Big space, well decorated. Good overall. Fairly empty on a Wednesday though. SERVICE: Pretty terrible. The place was empty and the waiter was barely around. Made it hard to refill water and beer.

Came here on a Monday at 5:30 pm(not busy) for an early dinner and it wasn’t busy. I ordered a three combo basket of fried fish, calamari and(up charge) bay scallops plus a soda. For 20.00 overpriced dollars… I got maybe three fried scallops, one small fish and a few calamari, two really bad hushpuppies and fried zucchinis instead of fries. Zucchini Fries were limp, fried seafood should be too difficult to make(perhaps I’m spoiled with the local Seafood restaurant that’s near my home, always spot on perfect). It wasn’t good at all. I left this place very dissatisfied and disappointed. Service was just adequate. I would give it high marks for the bar and ambiance for later evening time though. The menu was vast, but personally, I think it’s a bit overrated. Had been here in the past, and in the past, I had a better dining experience with food and service being good. Wish it was the same this time. I’ll try a different restaurant in the immediate area.

What I love the most about Six Feet Under is the atmosphere on the rooftop. I always for the overlook which allows you to view the famous Oak Lawn Cemetery. Kinda creepy, yes, but hey it’s neat. I have eaten there twice and had the gator bites and steamed shrimp and scallops cooked in parchment paper with herbs and wine sauce. Very yummy! Also service is very good here with servers being attentive and pleasant. I will definitely be back.

Great place to eat before or after visiting the cemetery. Crafty names on the menu. Take time chuckling at various items.

Strolled on over after visiting the Oakland Cemetery. So glad I did! The best fish & chips ever. Fish was freshly battered and fried. The chips were excellent. The sweet tea kept coming. I enjoyed my meal, the fantastic hipster waiter, and good looking patrons!!! Only thing that was lacking was parking.

Service was excellent and the lemonade was good. Gator bites were ok but sadly we had to request a refund and leave when the chicken fajita soup and gumbo came out. The chicken soup bowl was luke warm and mostly fried tortilla pieces — definitely NOT worth the price. BUTTHEWORSTPARTWASTHEGUMBO. It had a film on top that had to be broken down and a burn ring around the entire bowl that only happens when you microwave something. I wasn’t willing to eat microwaved seafood gumbo & no one should have to regardless of the time of day you eat somewhere. If you serve LATENIGHTFOODUNTILMIDNIGHTITSHOULDBEPREPAREDFRESH, ESPECIALLYSEAFOOD. After I made the complaint they had the nerve to still charge us for the lemonade and gator bites which was about $ 20. As a traveler just passing through I’ve never been more disappointed and I hope the health department checks this place out so no one gets sick. :(

Came here after strolling around the Oakland Cemetery and I’m so happy I did. The two guys at the bar were so great! Their drink menu is pretty killer, including delicious punny drinks. The Pushin’ Up Daisies was refreshing with a boozy kick, and the Deep Throat oyster shooter was awesome. I’d first heard of this place for being a bit of a seafood Mecca in the ATL. Their raw oysters were delicious — I’m so happy I ordered them. A couple people surrounding me at the bar got the catfish tacos and loved them, so if that’s your thing I think this is your spot. I wish I was more hungry, because they had a gator appetizer on the menu that I would’ve tried. The mouse/rat/dragon toes(stuffed peppers wrapped in bacon, where the animal gets more menacing as the spice level increases) intrigued me as well. Only thing I was interested in that I got turned off to was the seafood gazpacho; the kitchen gave me a sample and it was just meh. The key lime pie was the perfect way to finish off my booze… erm, meal. It’s icebox style, meaning it’s basically key lime ice cream. They put it on their homemade Oreo crust which was delicious but frozen solid — I ended up scooping up the key lime and cutting the crust up like a steak to devour it. There’s a reason this place is recommended and frequented by the local crowd. If you’re in the downtown area, I’d recommend coming in for a drink at the very least.

Came to Six Feet Under with a group of 8 under our local friend’s direction. Parking was a little limited in the area, I lucked out into the last open spot in The Jane’s parking lot. Be prepared to park and walk from the surrounding neighborhood. Plenty of drink options here, and apparently on Saturday’s they also have a build your own bloody mary bar that was plentiful. Their menu has just about any pub style food you could want and then some. I’d heard the catfish fingers were great, but decided to opt for the Crab Cake Sliders instead. These had an awesome & flavorful remoulade sauce and were topped with avocado slices. I was able to trade one with my wife who ordered the Salmon BLT sliders. I think the salmon was just a tad dry, especially when paired with the honey-wheat buns. Overall, I think the Salmon BLTs had a better flavor and I would probably go with them over the crab cakes! If you’re in the area with a group of friends, this place is sure to be a crowd please. Averages prices are reasonable and there is literally something for anyone.

Stopped in here yesterday afternoon & found two seats at the bar to avoiding waiting for a table(Sunday brunch time). Had the gravedigger house cocktail, some beers on tap & opted for a Bloody Mary so I could check out the DIY bar they had set up in the lobby. Making my own was fun. Tons of mixes to choose from, plus hot sauces, horseradish & minced garlic, as well as pickled everything, olives etc. The menu looked great but we weren’t hungry enough for a meal. We wanted to split an appetizer, but the bar staff rarely came to our end of the bar. After waiting about 30mins for them to come over, we just asked for the check. I otherwise liked the place & I’ll check it out for lunch or dinner sometime in the future!
