A necessary evil! Yvonne is who did an excellent job this for me, but never have a bad experience here.

I used to go here JUST for Patti! She’s fabulous BUT she left! If you’re looking for her she is now threading in Sandy Springs! She still as nice, sweet and talented as she’s always been but she now works in Sandy Springs at L’Panache on Roswell Rd! If you love Pattis work as much as I do please check out her new salon and don’t waste your time with these ladies. Even when I went there I could feel the weird vibes between Patti and the other ladies BECAUSESHESTHEBESTATWHATSHEDOES! You know what they say… if someone’s hating you KNOW you’re doing something right!

I think the actual threading is great and made the effort to only come here to get my brows done. Kaleema, I believe her name is, does the best job on me. All was fine in the world… But then I received a gift certificate for Christmas and went to use it. It was basically a receipt. They couldn’t find it in their system, verify it, had to call someone. It took a long time and although the ladies were totally nice about it, I made up my mind it wasn’t worth driving up from Buckhead. Currently, I go to a closer threading salon that gets the job done. The prices went up too and I don’t think I want to drive all the way back to hassle for the remaining 7 dollars or so on the gift receipt. I do think the monthly plan is a great idea. They offer it every time I would visit, but considering the hassle with the gift certificate, I don’t want to do a recurring financial thing with them. Plus, I can go to a place around the corner. If I am ever at Cumberland Mall, I would definitely visit them again for a touch up, because they do a great job. I am just not making them my «go to» spot anymore.

Will never go here again. Went last week to get my eyebrows and lips done but she was too fast and it was very painful. I got 2 cuts near both side of my lips which left a mark before they healed. I even tipped her but went home and the were more small cuts with blood. I have gotten threading done in a lot of places and it should never hurt that much if done correctly. Too expensive for such service too!

The threading is awesome but the«who’s next?!?» Yelling method means if you are even remotely timid you will never be seen. Aggressive women seem to have figured this out and bully their way to the front when a chair opens up. What’s the purpose of a sign in sheet if you don’t even see people in any order?

I just left this place and do not recommend it at all. Senita did not do what I requested. I asked for a simple clean up and left with super thin, shapeless eyebrows. The corporate office had to be called because I have a membership and wanted a refund for the remainder of the balance. All he could give me was a free service and suggested 2 of their better associates. *blank state*. Why would I want to come back to a place that ruined my eyebrows. She wasn’t apologetic or anything. So I’m left walking around with atrocious eyebrows until I can grow out to have a real professional fix them.

A little update: I don’t know if the owner of this brow salon saw my last review about how yelling«Who’s next?» to customers who are asked to sign in defeated the purpose of why there was a sign-in sheet to begin with, but when I went in this past weekend, I noticed the cashier now calls you by name! Plus, they are starting to become more diverse as far as staffing. Speaking of the cashier, I did not catch her name, but she was very nice and professional. During a previous visit, there was another cashier, whom I presumed was pretty new, who openly argued with other employees standing behind her how they were hounding her and irritating her for merely trying to help her with the register functions. I, along with all the other customers standing there that time, were flabbergasted. She was highly disrespectful and rude. Glad she’s no longer there.

If I’m at the mall I’ll stop in for a quick threading. I’ve been to better places– where they care about the shape of your brows and are perfectionists, but this place does the trick if you just need maintenance.

I came here to get my eyebrows threaded and bottom line is, she ruined my face. She hurt me, not the normal pain, but she literally took chunks out of my skin. I could feel it I knew it wasn’t right. When I asked her if that’s normal she said yes and when I looked in the mirror and saw three different spots on one eyelid bleeding, I asked again if that was normal and she said, yes. I liked the shape of my brows but there’s no way to enjoy that because it’s been about two days and now I have three scabs underneath my brow and I look ridiculous. Please don’t go here. I still tipped the girl but I won’t ever go back again. I’m going to post a photo of what she did.

I will never go here again. I’ve never had threading before and figured I try it. I went to the downstairs area and the woman was abs. horrible. She was very rough, very rude, and had an attitude to go with it. I needed a min. b/c it was making my eyes tear up and she got all annoyed, got all snappy and forceful with my head jerking it around. I would not recommend going here ever!

EXCELLENT. when I moved into the area I was afraid b/c brows are very important to me. I pulled out Kim picture as an example of full broad brows and they have made my brows better and better over time… RECOMMENDED, the unlimited plan is perfect for a glamour girl because if you get brows done twice a month you pay $ 20 opposed to the 16.99 to go as much as you want. :D

I decided to drop in one afternoon after work to get my brows cleaned up. I have been threading my brows for the past year or two, so I kinda knew what to expect going in. The first problem I had with Shapes is that the wait time was ridiculously long… I think I waited about 45 minutes just to get in a chair when the place was almost empty. By the time I was finished, I realized that I had spent over an hour just getting my brows threaded… something that usually only takes 10 – 15 minutes to do. Secondly, the girl who actually threaded my eyebrows just didn’t do a great job. It took her forever and she kept complaining about how thick my eyebrows were. When she was finally done, my eyebrows didn’t look near as good as when I go to The Arches to get them done. All in all, I don’t think I would go to Shapes again unless I was really, really in a pinch to get my eyebrows done… the long wait combined with the subpar threading job just didn’t do it for me.

This place really deserves 1 star bc some of the staff are not good at their job and if not careful they can caused damage. However, they get 5 stars bc of Alicia. She is super sweet and is very good at what she do. When I go she is the only one I will allow to do my eyebrows. Can’t forget they have a membership for $ 12 a month for unlimited visits. Therefore, I go once a week. The membership pays for itself in 2 visits being that one visit will run you $ 10.

I should have known to just go to my normal place. My brows were too thin after I said I just wanted them«cleaned up». She did the complete opposite. I got home and had to do my eyebrows. If you don’t like thin eyebrows steer clear of this place. The employees were nice but not as particular as I would have liked.

Usually it is great but I went yesterday and I am not sure if the lady that serviced me is young or new. She took off some of my skin when shaping my brows. For those like me with sensitive skin that get threading instead of waxing steer clear of her. That is the ONLY bad experience I have ever had there.

Not a bad little spot to get a quick threading while at Cumberland. The lady who worked on me was incredibly cool and really made me feel at ease through the minor pain, especially since it was my first time. $ 10 for an eyebrow threading doesn’t seem all that bad to me.

Fast, efficient, great price(they have a monthly all-you-can-pluck plan, too, if you’re local). I hadn’t had threading done before, and was told it wasn’t as painful as waxing. While I disagree on that, the results were well worth it!

Definitely recommend getting your eyebrows done here! Looks so much better than waxing and it doesnt irritate your skin like waxing does!
