I would avoid them at all costs. Even though they were paid by insurance and not by me, they are a complete rip-off and frankly, not good at what they do. I had some flood damage at my home and they had the contents of my home moved and the servpro stored the items — at a great cost to my insurance company. I found out several weeks later that they are not even temperature controlled. This catastrophe was in the summer. Candles that they stored melted on other items. Also, items were missing and broken. When I went to grab a few things, like a tv, they tried to give me someone else’s much nicer tv! They are bumbling idiots!!!

If it were possible to give them a –0, I would. They did an air-out of my downstairs after a neighboring townhome had a flood that seeped over into my unit. Instead of removing all of the affected flooring they only removed some of it, only to return 3 days later to remove the rest and of course charge me for prolonged use of the equipment. From the door, they saw green. I had to have the baseboards and tiling replaced on my entire kitchen floor, and all of the living room carpet. We’re talking a significant amount of square footage. The check I cut for the total restoration of my living room(berber carpet) and kitchen(porcelain tile) was LESS than the check I cut to Serv Pro for 3 days of 3 big ass fans in my house. Unbelievable!!! Insurance tried negotiating for several weeks to no avail. Avoid these vultures at all costs, especially where insurance is involved.

I had the misfortune of having a pipe rupture which flood our basement a few weeks ago. I called my insurance company and then Servpro who sent a tech out to dry the basement out. I should have known I was in trouble when Mike, Servpro’s tech ask me how much did I know about water remediation and damage. I had a total of 22,000 gallons of water in the basement. The ruptured pipe went undetected because I was away for a few days. Both Mike and the scheduler was extremely unprofessional. Mike did not want to open drywall that clearly had water damage behind it nor did he know how to properly use the moisture meter. I had to battle both he and Greg to get walls opened and dried even after the insurance adjuster had approved the work. They lacked integrity… each blaming the other for not wanting to do the job properly. Servpro knocked out power in one room, promised to send an electrician and a flooring contractor to complete the demo. Two weeks later, no one has called or come over to the complete the job. The company is not trained to remediate mold and could care less about anything other than getting paid while doing an awful and incomplete job. They set appointment times and showed up over an hour later. Then spent an hour in the truck talking to Greg in the office, who never bothered to come out to take a look but makes decisions blindly from the office. They also, sent someone from the construction department to discuss rebuilding the basement. There is NOWAY I would use anyone associated with Servpro ever again. I would not use this company to get water or anything else out of my dog house!!! I wish there was some way I could give them no stars, because one is too much. I plan to send a letter to the BBB and Servpro’s corporate office.

It is not possible to give them zero stars so one will have to do. I hired serv-pro of North Atlanta to fix my bathroom after some water damage from a shower. I had a plumber come out, fix the problem at the source and show me that everything was working properly. Serv-pro came in to evaluate everything and said it would be about a week for them to fix everything, including demolishing the shower and floor and replacing the tile. I went with them(it was an insurance claim and the agent said it should be ok) and they went to work. Turns out the guy from Serv-pro came to work with the flu which I got after he was coughing and sneezing the whole time we were talking in my small bathroom. They went to work on the demo the next day and had the floors dried out within a couple days. The following Monday, expecting someone to begin working on redoing the shower. They did not come that day, or any day that week. I contacted them to ask why and could not get in touch with anybody. The next week some people showed up but it looked like they were just dropped off in a truck with the supplies and told to go to work. I came home a couple of times to my front door wide open and stains on my carpet from where they were walking. I am not fluent in spanish so I could not get an answer to how much longer it would take or communicate to them that there was a lot of stuff that was not done properly(floor was warped and unlevel, drywall taping was awful and sticking out). It ended up taking them two weeks to complete the build and then it got worse. The toilet was not put on properly, the sink was messed up and spraying water everywhere, the plumbing was messed up as they messed up the valve so more water was going into the tub than to the shower, the toilet was missing the little caps, there was dirt and tracks everywhere, and the floor was slanted down. I tried to contact serv-pro but nobody got in touch with me. I sent an email itemizing everything that needed to be done and they never contacted me. At this point it has been a month and a half since this began and I was told it would be done in a week, «two weeks tops» and can’t get a hold of anyone. The people I call go straight to voicemail and the office tells me that so and so is the person in charge of this project so they will have to contact you. Eventually they answer and go in to check out my bathroom. All he did was put the caps on the toilet and do a minor fix to the sink that worked for a week. He said that the other stuff was not their problem(including the grout that was already coming apart) and that the case was closed. I sent to more letters to the office and got no response. This place is a rip-off. Go to a place that has good reviews and a person you can talk to. Serv-Pro of North Atlanta will just get some day-laborers from Home Depot and trust them to do the right thing. Now I am left with a shower that is falling apart, a messed up floor, and had to put up with three months of headaches. Seriously, they are not professional and lie about what they will do. AVOID!

Due to a family emergency we had to hire a contractor who could handle a home with quite a bit of damage. There was water and other damage of the floors and walls as well as damage to the mechanicals and appliances. ServPro worked hard to salvage any items we could save from the home including important paperwork and artwork. They also handled this even thou the nearest family member lived 450 miles away. They found contractors to repair and replace the needed items to prepare the home for sale. They were respectful and supportive with our situation and made sure that the neighbors were advised of the ongoing work to decrease any issues that might of arisen due to the construction such as the removal of debris. We strongly recommend this organization if you have a home with major damage.
