Great performance at the Grand Opening festivities for the new Canopy Walk at the Atlanta Botanical Garden today! These are not just a bunch of kooks – well, they are a bunch of kooks – but they play good music together too!

Seed & Feed Marching Abominables are an Atlanta staple. They play at all the local festivals and some charity events. I love seeing the men dressed as women and the women (some older than my grandma) dressed in cRaZy outfits. They always bring a smile to my face. I just saw that they now play private events and I am thinking they would be a super fun group to have play at a wedding. Check them out; I know they always play at L5P’s halloween parade and at the Inman Park fest.

Wow. I want these people to play my birthday party. I went to see Amy Sedaris at the Decatur Rec. Center on Friday, and I got there super early. Seed & Feed was brought out to entertain the anxious crowd before her appearance and again to chaperone her onto the stage (well, basketball court, actually). The costumes! The energy! The ridiculousness! I LOVE IT! And I think the bearded fellow in the leopard print dress had a thing for me. If you have a chance, go see these people! You will not be sorry.
