Tried the coconut cupcake, and it’s delicious. Frosting was fluffy and not too sweet and the cake was moist and not dry. Overall not too sweet and flavor was nice, had some real coconut bits on the frosting. I like it more than sprinkles, which can be too sweet.

Horrible service. Sunday morning, 8:45am. The man who appeared to be a manager took me and the guy ahead of me out of a long line to help us. He was unbelievably slow. In the time he got the guy ahead of me a plain bagel and black coffee, 7 people who Had been behind me in the other line were served. I ordered a soft drink and blueberry muffin. Just had knee surgery so I walk slowly. When I got to my gate, I opened the bag to see a chocolate muffin. I’m allergic to chocolate. It was too far to go back to the store. Therefore, I had no breakfast this morning. Horrible server.

If you’re craving cake or cupcakes in the airport, this is a fine establishment to come to, but I don’t think I’d necessarily go out of my way to pay inflated airport prices. They have a variety of flavors: strawberry, vanilla, red velvet, carrot cake, chocolate, and probably a few more that I can’t remember. Because I’m a glutton and have a huge sweet tooth, I got a red velvet cupcake($ 3.25) and a slice of carrot cake($ 6.49). I ate the cupcake on the plane ride, and saved the cake for dessert a few days later. The red velvet cupcake was not one of my favorites: I felt it was a little bit dry. The cream cheese frosting was solid(not overly sweet) but I was disappointed in the cake. I don’t think I would get this cupcake again. I’ve had many other red velvet cupcakes and cakes that are better. The carrot cake was delicious though and everything I had hoped it would be. There weren’t a ton of nuts in the cake — which I like, and it wasn’t overly sweet. The cream cheese frosting was great and there was a generous amount of frosting in between the cake layers and on top, so almost all the bites had frosting to go with it. I’d definitely get the carrot cake again — I think this is probably one of their better flavors. I wouldn’t make a special trip into Terminal A to get cupcakes or cake here, but if you’re already in the terminal and want a solid piece of carrot cake, this place is great. I’d skip on the cupcakes, and the red velvet cake — it was too dry and nothing special. Slightly overpriced, but to be expected — and probably tastier than a muffin, scone, or cookie that you’d normally find at most airport bakeries.

Piece of Cake earns a one start review due to their cakes being dry and not moist. If they improve the texture of their cakes I’ll be willing to raise that rating!

Although over priced, the brownies are my favorite! The Danish are good as well. I wish the brownies were a tad bit bigger. It feels like you take two bites and it’s gone :)

I was wanting something sweet as I was waiting for my flight at the Atlanta airport and I walked by A Piece of Cake. I had yellow cake with white cream frosting. The cake was good, but it was not worth the $ 7.00 I paid for it. The customer service was lacking. Some kid was at the register talking to the cashier and she didn’t tell him to move or get out of my way. If it weren’t for the fact that I needed a sugar rush I would have walked away.

Cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake… it’s either you love it or you hate it. To me, I happen to like their carrot cake here. Excuse me, did I say like? I mean LOVE their carrot cake here. Every time I come through to connect here in Atlanta, I usually try to make a stop and buy a cake here to take home to my fiancé. A slice of that and a glass of milk is a happy ending to any day. Come through and reward yourself with a slice of the good stuff. I’m sure you’ll find a cake that you’ll love here. If it’s not Carrot, you might like their red velvet instead. Who knows? Service is very prompt. you point out which cake you like, you pay for it, they box it up, they give it to you, Period. If you wanna eat it right away, that’s all on you.

White chocolate cake is NOT white chocolate!!! It’s regular white cake with cream cheese icing. After getting over the initial(and enormous) disappointment of it not being white chocolate, it turned out to be a decent cake. But so misleading!!!

Best damn cupcake I’ve had almost EVER! Concourse A couldn’t have a better sweet tooth establishment! Adorable, tasty, tantalizing cupcakes/cake slices so moist it’ll make you wanna slap yo mama! This counter location is small yet mighty. Beautifully designed with the most delicately delicious butter cream icing a girl, guy, child could ever ask for. Do yourself a favor and grab a piece of cake before you depart the A! ~Christy said so.

3.5 stars rounded up. I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile now but never got around to it because it’s not close to home so I was super excited to see this place in the airport a few months ago when I got off my flight! I decided to try their red velvet cake and found the cake to be super moist and delicious. It did get a little too sweet for me after a few bites though.

As expected at the airport, this place was expensive. However, unlike most airport food, this place was of GREAT quality for being so quick. The cake was moist, flavorful, and delicious! I originally wanted the salted caramel cake, but they were all out. I was unsure of what else to order since the store was almost closing and a lot of the options I wanted were out. I asked the cashier which flavor was her favorite and she said hands down the red velvet. Great recommendation. I’m a sucker for cream cheese icing, so this was perfect! I would recommend it for cake lovers!

A nice surprise to find this local favorite in the airport. Best cake flavor was the white chocolate! Loved the cocoa butter flavor and delicateness of it. The carrot cake was also good. Strawberry was interesting, more for the kids who liked it.

Piece Of Cake is a well known Atlanta based bakery that specializes in baked cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other yummy treats. They have 8 locations in the Atlanta area and surrounding cities as well as one located inside the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This one is located in a food court area in Concourse A and with it being on the corner and its big bright red sign it can not and should not be missed! After an almost 5 hour flight I was starving and walked by this bakery, the case with the various cakes and cupcakes caught my eye and it was over(I had to stop and try a slice). Between my arrival and departure 3 days later I came this place twice and tried a few different cakes. There are so many options/flavors to choose from like Red Velvet, Cookies ‘n Cream, Chocolate, Strawberry, White Chocolate and so on. Pricing here is a bit expensive considering they are in the airport but don’t let that deter you because it’s worth it. The 3 layer cake slices are $ 6.49 and cupcakes are $ 3.25, I would go with the cake slices because they are big and you get more for your money with that option. I tried the Red Velvet cake, Strawberry cake and Carmel cake slices and I was in cake heaven and pleasantly surprised. The Red Velvet was my least favorite which was disappointing because I love Red Velvet. It was a little on the dry side and the cream cheese frosting was lacking, it tasted more like buttercream. The Strawberry slice was very good, there were pieces of strawberry all throughout the cake, it was very moist and the frosting had a great strawberry flavor as well. The real star and my favorite of the three was the Carmel cake slice, I should have gotten two slices of that alone. The cake itself was so delicious and moist, the Carmel frosting was super sweet and decadent. One of the best cakes I’ve ever had, so sad it’s all the way in ATL. Although it’s pricey and there are a few bad reviews I think it is worth the walk to Concourse A to try and see for yourself. It’s worth the money and calories trust me, you will thank me later!

I was returning from a work trip where I had long days and typically heavier meals than I would normally eat. On the plane I decided I needed to eat really light and clean over the next few days to compensate for all I had on my trip … then I walked past piece of cake as I was headed to the escalator, d’oh! So confession, I had a slice of cake from piece of cake maybe a week earlier from the dunwoody location and was underwhelmed. But I like cake and I’m a fat kid in the inside, and sometimes outside, so I wanted to give them another try. I got a slice of white chocolate cake and it more than redeemed from the dry piece of cookies and cream I had at the other location. The white chocolate cake was moist and flavorful. I don’t know that it tasted like chocolate but man was it good. I hope my next flight puts be back in the same terminal!

The carrot cake was fresh tasty and cream cheese frosting creamy and fresh. I’d definitely come back and grab a slice next time I’m in ATL. We also got the White Chocolate macadamia cookie and it was HUGE! $ 3.25 but still worth it. Friendly cashier too! I’ll try the red velvet next time.

Piece of Cake is one of Atlanta’s most popular bakeries. I love their location on Concourse A as much as the stores that are throughout the city. They sell made from scratch cupcakes and layer cake by the slice that are moist, rich and delicious. They also serve Abica coffee and tea, both hot and iced. My favorite cake flavor is the Red Velvet. This time I also sampled the Cookies and Cream. At $ 6.49 per slice(before tax), they’re more expensive than the $ 5.50 slices they sell at the brick-and-mortar stores. However, the slices are the same size and almost everything costs more at the airport. As usual, my slice was too thick for me to eat in one sitting. Each one is packaged in an airtight, plastic Pac-Man style takeout container that prevents the cake from drying out for a day or so. Mine made the flight with me and the next day the crumb was just as soft as it was when I bought it. I recommend Piece of Cake to anyone in the seven concourse radius. If you fall in love with a flavor but live in a city without a bakery, they can ship a pound cake or layer cake to you: .

Not going to lie, I was skeptical about buying from a cake shop at the airport… I mean, how good can it be? I did bit of Google-ing and saw this place was legit and had to give it a try. Being the(cup)cake addict that I am, I decided to splurge and buy a slice and a couple of cupcakes despite already packing some cupcakes from Two Little Red Hens in from my NYC trip. I am so glad I did! I bought a slice of red velvet cake, a cookies & cream cupcake, and the coconut cupcake. I shall update once I get to the cupcakes but I couldn’t wait to share my thoughts on the red velvet. So good. So moist. And the cream cheese frosting isn’t so sweet to the point that your teeth hurt. A definite stop if you find yourself in ATL terminal A!

There isn’t anything I could say that is negative about this place nothing but an abundance of greatness!!! From the morning muffins the delicious brownies cakes & cupcakes you can’t go wrong with dessert! Every Time I’m in Atlanta its a must I pick up a treat; with the vast array of flavors to choose from they’ll satisfy just about any taste! No don’t expect to find any gluten free here but a little gluten isn’t all bad; especially when it comes from A Piece of Cake Everyone should get to experience this deliciousness

This little food outlet next to Boards Head sandwich shop in the concourse A of Delta airport is definitely worth the layover. Furthermore, it is also worth the calorie splurge and the sky high price. Yum, yum, yum… I choose the moist yellow cake with the chocolate frosting. It tastes home made. Girl working the counter was very friendly and patient.

Maybe because it was late in the day, I didn’t find the strawberry cake that exciting. The frosting on top and between the layers was really sweet. The cake was moist and a nice texture but I didn’t like the flavor much. It tasted like strawberry, but cake mix strawberry. I guess I was expecting more. It was $ 7.08 with tax!
