As a newcomer to skiing, the staff at Peter Glenn in Atlanta(namely, Vince) was a huge help. I needed new goggles, and Vince took the time to find a pair that were exactly what I was looking for. He is clearly knowledgable when it comes to snowboarding gear, and gave his personal advice and expertise to help in my selection process. They have a wide variety of all things ski/snowboarding, at expected prices. When the line was slightly long(I was 6th in line), Vince and other staff members were apologizing for the delay and checking to make sure we didn’t need anything. I’ll definitely be going back next time I need more ski gear.

Great selection HORRIBLE customer service. Asked what specific north face jackets were on sale was told he didn’t know and he guessed he could scan it once we decided. We then asked if we could try on we were told to go near the back to the rooms only to find they were locked/doors stuck or packed full of other people’s previously tried on items. Went to the front again to ask/interrupted 4 employees older and younger all hanging out at the front in a store full of customers. Bottom line great selection zero help so now I’ll just order what I need online.

I’ve always had a great experience here even if I didn’t buy the item in store but their online store. Example; last season Nike Zoom force snowboard boots. Every where else wanted $ 200+. Peter Glenn had them for under $ 100 with free shipping. With the amount of referrals of business I give this place to new skiers and snowboarders, this helps with the question of why is this kind of shop in the Atlanta perimeter. Their prices aren’t always the best deals but the customer service is always top notch.

When I’ve gone skiing in the past, its basically been wearing whatever random clothes in my Southern-fied closet that I could find that provide some sort of warmth. The result is not attractive. This is all changed in the past couple of years. My boyfriend and his family are huge skiers, so I’ve slowly been building my collection of non embarrassing ski wear. The first time I went on a trip with them, I frantically drove to every potential ski place in Atlanta. Surprisingly, for a town with no snow, there are a few options. Aside from REI, this was the best selection I found in terms of a local ski store. They have a variety of mens and womens wear, and they also service skis, too. They carry all the cool stuff like way overpriced(but warm!) long underwear, crazy designer ski jackets and a garden of gloves to choose from.
