Awesome for a date. Wish they stayed open later. I had the Greek salad and wine. Strawberry Chocolate wine… my favorite.

The service was good, but the food was overpriced and of poor quality. $ 18 got me two lamb shish kabobs with rice, and my girlfriends pita was nothing but a little bit of meat in a pita with lettuce. Unfortunately, I can’t think of any reason to come back.

Good place to enjoy some Mediterranean food. Price for our food was reasonable for the area we were in. I will return here when in he area.

My boyfriend and I adore this spot. Located in Town Brookhaven, it’s close to a lot of cute shopping. We love coming here! Best hummus in Atlanta!

My husband and I love this quiet Mediterranean restaurant for a reasonably priced date night. I love, love, love the Mediterranean Nachos. My husband usually gets The Feast, which offers all of the meats in all of the land. I like the Mediterranean Platter; you can pick four salads/sides(my go-to order is tabouleh, salad, falafel, hummus). They have half price bottles of wine on Wednesday, and all you can drink Sangria on Sunday. We have been many times and are always treated well by the exact same waiter.

One of the best Greek salads in the city :) If you’re looking for something a little outside-the-box in Brookhaven, this a good spot. This small, casual restaurant always has pleasant service, albeit not the most swift. They attract a young adult crowd — lots of couples & small groups. Their hummus is mouthwateringly delicious & the pita that accompanies it is pillowy soft, doughy & hot. One of my favorite things to order, aside from the Greek salad, is the zorba meza appetizer — which includes gyro meat, kalamatta olives, tzatziki, & feta. I can usually have this as a meal in & of itself. Their gyro meat is better than many places. The lamb pops are also tasty. And the baklava is the cherry on top! And their prices are very reasonable(zorba meza = $ 12, Greek salad = $ 9). They have ½ price bottles of wine on Monday nights! A great neighborhood spot for lunch/dinner that’s healthy & full of flavor.

I’ll give the positives first. Normally the food and service are great. Wait staff joked and conversed with us while at the bar, they were friendly and definitely did their jobs exceptionally better than most. The food was great and my friend really enjoyed her food, as well as I did. My most recent attempt to visit is why I felt inclined to write this review. We pulled up at around 9:10pm, when closing time was 9:30pm. I know it was a tad bit late, but seriously, 20 minutes is a nice bit of time left I would think. Walking up to the door which was already locked, the man working in there barely acknowledged us. He pointed to the clock, looked away and carried on his conversation with another person at the bar. I felt like that was extremely rude, considering the sign on the door clearly states the closing time. Not sure if I will be patronizing this place any more. It would have to be last resort.

I’ve been to Olive Bistro for lunch many times. We always have the same server wait on us. There’s never more than 2 – 3 tables/patrons and service tends to be extremely slow. The food: I’ve tried multiple dishes including the lamb skewers which have great flavor. My «go to» dish is the Business Lunch for less than $ 10 you get your choice of lamb or chicken, a Mediterranean salad, and rice and iced tea. Served with and olive oil dressing and plain Greek yogurt, the flavors combined are phenomenal. I’ve had hummus as an appetizer and it’s the most fresh and light hummus I’ve ever had served with soft warm pita bread. The atmosphere: Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, the décor indoors doesn’t hint to a Mediterranean restaurant Cons: some of the pita and gyro wrap dishes are served with Sun Chips, extremely off putting. I’d prefer an authentic side dish. The prices can be quite steep for basic dishes and somewhat small portions.

Meh… that about sums it up. I think the best thing I had was the Greek salad. The falafel was dry, heavy and flavorless. The hummus tasteless as well. The tahini sauce was on the verge of turning sour. The pita was inconsistent with some pieces warm and soft others partially crunchy and stale.

Best gyro and tabouleh I’ve had in a long while. It was quiet, friendly, and had a nice vibe. Good place for a quick, quiet, and reasonably priced lunch. Pretty good wine selection as well.

First, a huge thank you to Zac, our waiter, who helped us through the menu and wine/beer lists! Olive Bistro is a place you can miss if you aren’t looking for it in the mix of everything at Town Brookhaven. It has a decent size patio though and a better than decent wine and beer list with selections from Italy, Greece and other countries from that region. The Mixed Kabobs were delicious as were the baba ghanoush apps. The trio is the best way to go if you want an app with a taste of everything– Hummus, olive spread, and seasoned feta. This is my new favorite spot at Town Brookhaven!

I’ve been to the establishment about 3 – 4 times. It isn’t impressive nor unique. When you order a gyro, they give you a pack of sunchips as the side item… which isn’t Mediterranean(at all). I asked for a mineral water and the waitress said they do not serve it… yet there is San Pellegrino in a refrigerator nearby. Later, I asked for it by name, and she served it alongside the tap water. The waitstaff isn’t enthusiastic or engaging. I’ve had to cut my pita bread because it was so tough/overcooked. They didn’t notice that the knife was slicing through the foil onto the plate(perhaps because they didn’t check-up after the food came). I gave an obligatory 15% tip. There are definitely better places in Town Brookhaven to patronize.

Oh, Al, you’ve had my Grecian heart for quite awhile now. Five years counts as a long-term relationship, right? Now you have some competition. Forget flowers, this girl can be wooed by a great gyro. And so far. .. it’s Al v Olive. I went with the classic gyro(lamb, beef, toms, lettuce, sauce) because a first date should set a baseline. There will definitely be a second. Simple and delicious(we’re talking food now) — with exactly the right form of warm pita and tons — really, tons– of meat. Everything was filled throughout the sandwich, not one of those where there’s a lot at the beginning and you eat only to find that their well-seasoned and well sliced meat, plus the other ingredients don’t fill the whole pita. I’m in serious like. There are lots of other things on the menu, from apps to what I’d consider shareable entrees, from lamb to chicken to(my meat-eating eye) a lot of vegetarian choices, even salmon. The salad section is large and looks very tasty. A bonus is that you can customize most items by adding a different meat or building your own with the gyros. Plus, the hummus and tzatki apps looked really tasty, and I noticed a lot of tables ordering those. Which means about half of the tables since this is a cozy little place. Good stuff all around. And with the reasonable prices, I didn’t have to pay much for the date.

My bread basket just caught on fire!!! I laughed after trying to blow it out. Ambers kept relighting. It was a great start to a perfect Friday night sitting at a high top with a window view of TOWN. The owner jumped to her feet and said some nice things apologizing, but it’s not the bread basket that catches you on fire, it’s the ambiance, the music and the best fresh hummus in Atlanta. The prices are amazing and the staff is down to earth friendly. Check this one out. No wait time expected for a table yet! But this will be a full patio by spring.

Noms. Falafel sandwich was pretty delicious and at a fair price. The filling was fresh, the sauce was great(on the side), and the falafel was plentiful. I think it was $ 7? $ 8? Glass of wine ranges from $ 6-$ 9. This place is absolutely affordable especially for this type of area.

Rude staff! What is wrong with this restaurant? Where is the customer service? The management? The food is fine but the service sucks ass. I came here once with a friend, and received the slowest and worst service. Gave it a second try. The waitress looked pissed off to see me(they had opened 15 min prior and were currently empty). I ordered and she didn’t give me an itemized receipt. I had to ask her how much the food was, because I wasn’t sure if to-go gratuity was included. Was given a drink that had dripped all over the side. Asked her for a napkin for the dripping, and when she handed me my bag, she said I gave you some in there. The lady was so freaking rude and had so much attitude, I wanted to call her out on it. But I didn’t. She had the meanest look on her face and didn’t thank me or say goodbye. Her demeanor is horrible. She didn’t deserve a tip for pressing a button and handing me a bag. That I don’t give a shit rude attitude service will put you out of business.

I was hungry as hell today around 1:30, hell, I was HANGRY! Anyways, I needed a good, filling lunch before my Costco run. I just needed something good to keep me from gorging on the frozen pizza, popcorn, and energy bar samples. I cruised around that little village thing looking for a place to eat. I wanted to try something different so I passed on Moes and decided to go with this little Mediterranean place called Olive Bistro. I walked in and there was nobody dining. There was a lady behind the bar, probably in her 30’s who just says, «Sit anywhere.» She brings me over a menu and walks away. Boy, this little ray of sunshine was so perky and full of life and made me feel oh so welcome. Just kidding. I felt like I was ruining her day. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Pita and a Greek Salad and she brought to my table, set it down and walked away. So sweet! The wrap and the salad, well they were really good but it definitely wasn’t worth 11 bucks. She never came by to fill up my empty water cup and when it came time to get my check, she came by, placed it on my table and walked away. So cheery and sweet huh? Well I left a tip that mirrored the quality of her service… a big fat ZERO. Call me an asshole but hey, she worked for that«0». She was more concerned with playing on her phone behind the bar so whatevs. All in all, it was a good lunch but for the money and shitty service, it wasn’t worth it. I would’ve had a better experience at Moe’s and spent less money. I see no reason to even recommend this place. I can totally see this place folding up and being gone and forgotten a year from now.

While I’m a big fan of CInebistro in Town Center Brookhaven, I haven’t been to many of the eateries there, including Olive Bistro, until this weekend. On Sunday, the age old question of what should we have for lunch came up, and I wasn’t in the mood for brunch, so I wracked my brain until Olive popped up — somewhere new to try, a friend said he liked it, I could go for some pita and hummus, etc. So my boyfriend and I drove up and got there at about 1. Olive Bistro occupies a smaller storefront in the middle of Town Center Brookhaven. Inside there’s a bar on one half of the restaurant and small tables with chairs fill out the rest of the space. The colors are on the darker side with lots of bottles of wine and other Mediterranean touches throughout — it’s cute and tasteful and not over the top. Although the restaurant was neither crowded nor deserted, it took a while for a waitress to take care of us, but once she did come over we were ready to order our whole meal. We decided to split an appetizer of babaganoush with pita bread, and I had a tabouli salad with grilled chicken and my boyfriend got the gyro wrap. A pretty standard order for a Mediterranean restaurant, I think. The babaganoush that came out was good: creamy, olive oil, very generous portion and the accompanying pita bread was also pretty good: it was warm, brushed with a little olive oil and even sprinkled with parmesan(I’ve never encountered that before). Our entrees were just so-so. The tabouli salad was heavy on the greens, while I was expecting more cracked bulgur wheat to supplement it, but there was a decent amount of chicken and I was definitely full by the end. My boyfriend said his wrap was also ok — the meat wasn’t the most flavorful he’d ever had and it was very saucy. We both left full and satisfied but not particularly blown away by Olive Bistro — especially when you think about all the other dining options available around Brookhaven.
