I have mixed reviews on this place. I have heard some good and bad reviews on this place, so I had to try for myself. The customer service was good. The process to ordering and paying is a bit confusing. The food… I wish it tasted as good as it looked(chick rice bowl). It lacked in the flavor department. The rice needs some flavor, it had none. The house made drinks are grossly sweet and tasted like a powdered mix. I expected to get a natural made drink from a recipe that someones granny passed down. I may visit again in the future and try something else.

One word: AMAZING! My cousin and I went to the location on MLK *across from Walmart* which is in a rough area of town but also the college area. We went inside and ordered food to go. The girl who took our order; Jasmine, was very, very helpful. She explained to us the most popular dishes and was just overall informative. Here’s the kicker: MAKESURE you are not in a hurry because the food is made FRESH to order. It takes about 20 – 25 minutes no more than 30 minutes to order and wait in the food. They don’t have ranch or yum yum sauce but they have other flavors such as chipotle ranch that is just as good. Only bad thing is the drinks are not included but they are not crazy expensive so you’ll be fine. You should pay no more than $ 20, depending on what you order. The steak, shrimp, and chicken rice plate is an EXCELLENT choice for those whom are reading this. They also have lamb and salmon. You get a Togo plate FULL of food. You probably will not eat this all in one sitting. Hope this was helpful for you all.

Love the food here! The service isn’t the best, the servers aren’t very friendly. I really enjoy the chicken and rice with Creole sauce. The location is also in a very rough area of town.

The service here was absolutely horrible in the past. There was no concept of a line and it was highly organized. Surprisingly lately things have changed. The food is still great and that one cook gets to share some of the work.

The yellow rice was nasty I’m not a fan of it. I will stick to getting the sandwiches! This place is overrated! Their subs is to die for !

The food was OK. I had high expectations because it looks wonderful. It was extremely salty and the steak that they use is similar to «steak ums». My 16 year old daughter and her friend said«it tastes like something you take out of freezer and defrost and eat kinda like chicken voila.» They are pretty pricey too. I thought it was to go food, I didn’t plan on spending close to $ 50 for 3 of us. Their meals don’t come with a drink; you have to buy that extra and their«Mr everything» lemonade is just country time or a powdered drink bottled up. They also have red kool-aid for those interested. Although decent, I probably won’t be back

Great spot for a good sized portion of food. Reminded me of a spot I’d find back in Brooklyn. The food is everyday grub cooked VERYWELL. I had the salmon plate and my wife had the chicken plate. Grilled meat, yellow rice, veggies, topped with cheese. Sounds simple, tastes amazing and the prices are great. Legit neighborhood spot.

The one star is solely for the cheesesteak sandwich that I ordered… i hate to say it but it tasted very good. I wish Unilocal allowed us to rate each part of the house individually, from the hosts to the cooks(if you have any interactions with them) ’cause my experience at Mr. Everything was terrible! However the cook was polite and seemed concerned. The way the restaurant is set up is quite confusing when you enter especially when it’s crowded. People are all gathered at the entrance and you would assume that’s where you’d place your order but no. I was completely disoriented and both cashiers who could visibly see my confusion didn’t even welcome me nor tell me where you place your order. After wondering, I figured out that apparently you just have to shout it over the glass to the cooks. The gentleman cook was nice and patiently helped me out with my order, as a first timer here. Then you kinda of just have to slide on down to the cashier to pay. Those two women were total bitches! The sign says they offer student discounts. I guess they changed their mind once it was time for me to pay! ‘Cause she told me no, in the most rudest, ghettoest tone ever! They just continued being ghetto and ignoring me with the simplest questions I asked them. I would never go back here despite how well the sandwich tasted. Customer service is key and they were completely ignorant here. So no thank you, Unilocal I’ll pass.

I was a little sketchy about the area being that I’m not from Atlanta, but it was cool. The waiting area& dining area was pretty hot but they had a fan blowing. They were packed as I kinda expected but my food only took about 15 min to come out! I asked for no tomatoes on my food, but they still ended yo on there :-(I got the yellow rice with everything w/chicken & shrimp. It was a tad pricey, like $ 15, but I had to see what the hype was about! The rice was a little dry and had no flavor at all. I had to drench my meal in the chipotle ranch sauce just to eat it. However, the mix of veggies and meat with the cheese was delicious! But honestly, you can make the food at home :-(presentation was perfect but it didn’t match the taste.

I had been waiting to try this place for a while just to see what all the hype was about and needless to say it was not at all what it was cracked up to be. The scenery is awful but that didn’t bother me. Normally the«hole in the wall» places have the best food. Regardless, people weren’t raving about the scenery, they were raving about the food. So my best friend and I drive about 30 minutes to get here because we don’t live in the area and I ordered two plates simply because I heard it was so good and because I just knew that I was going to want more the next day. I ordered chicken and shrimp with extra cheese and everything. The wait time was not bad at all and the food looked AMAZING! I couldn’t wait to dive in. I got home and tried the food… literally such a disappointment. The shrimp was really the only thing I ate. The dish was super dry! The chicken was dry! The yellow rice was just bland and overwhelming, the vegetables were okay… It didn’t seem to be seasoned much, overall it just was not good. I added the ranch they provided and with that it still wasn’t even good. Also, they missed my extra cheese which I paid for. For the 30 dollars that I spent and the gas it took to drive there and back, I was not pleased. I would never go back. I gave it 2 stars because the presentation was good and the shrimp was pretty good, but don’t let the pictures fool you like they fooled me. If you can’t cook, this is the place for you! If you can cook, do so!

I really don’t know what all the fuss is about. This is literally overcooked vegetables and seasoned meat smothered in cheese and served on yellow rice. I paid $ 25 for two of these meals. Hefty portions of obesity in to-go boxes. I got chicken and shrimp, and my niece got chicken only. You get a choice of dressing: Chipotle ranch, spicy creole, honey mustard, etc… This place is good for… I really don’t know. When you want to waste your money? It’s not that it doesn’t taste good. It’s that it doesn’t taste great and it’s expensive. Save your money and make the same meal at home… if that’s what you like to eat. Meh.

Venue: Mr Everything Café Décor: Take-Out(ish) Service: The Knock(see debbie downer) Environment: Your Local Neighborhood spot Food: Bangin’ son! Prices: Very Fair, Reasonable
Debbie Downers: The Service to a degree. Seems like when it gets busy with patrons, they quality of service drops a notch Conclusion: Fresh to order food official grub right on MLK right in the vicinity of the AUC. Mr. Everything Café is literally that within its plate. They have different options straight from the deli mayneeeee: Corned Beef, Pastrami(my favorite), Bologna, Tuna, Roast Beef, Salami, Turkey. Hell, the food so bangin’ they could put spam on those plates and it would still be off the chain. But anyway, the subs are the troof. King Rueben is the real deal playa. Love it! Love it. I have to find reasons to take out from here. Simply official. They have these tasty combos where you can get chicken gyros, grilled chicken, lamb, mix and match with two or three meats. If you are not trying to feel guilty, they even throw in the healthy veggie as well as different salads and that’s off the hook too. They have burgers too but i haven’t tried that yet… I’m still stuck on the other stuff! Last but definitely not least, they signature is the yellow rice buried bottom of a Styrofoam church plate suffocated by grilled chicken, lamb, burger, shrimp or steak. Playa… Playa! then they add veggies and queso(cheese) melted on top of the yellow rice. Best thang going. Another local legendary spot in the A… a must have — ‘cha dig!!! Overall: B+ /A–
