Good service, good bread and good side salad. Blackened grouper wasn’t really blackened but was fresh. Good no-nonsense meal. I appreciate straightforward fresh food. Would return here when visiting downtown Atlanta.

There were three of us for dinner. We arrived a wee bit before our 8:30 reservation time on a Friday night and were seated almost immediately. Our server came to our table in a reasonable amount of time and asked for drink orders. Nice guy — as he was pouring wine into a glass, we noticed the glass was dirty and he cheerfully went to get a clean glass. Two of us had salad, and our server also happily took the salads back when we found a greasy residue on the bottom edges of the salad plates. I had the crab corn chowder, which was pretty underwhelming. The Blackened Chicken Fettuccini was very good, the Shrimp Trilogy and Top Sirloin were okay(one of the items in the Shrimp Trilogy wasn’t hot and my steak, while cooked correctly, evidently sat a while and was tepid when it arrived. The broccoli, tomato, and mashed potatoes that accompanied my steak were all very good, as was the warm bread — though it didn’t arrive until the end of our meal. Throughout the meal, our server kept our water glasses full and periodically asked how things were. As we told him, things were okay. With one very good meal and two that could be described as «not bad enough to send back,» I’d sum it up as having a very mediocre experience at a premium price. While the service was good, the meal did not meet our expectations.

I hate to leave 1 star reviews, but this was one of if not the worst dining experiences of my life. The manager, Elvis, is completely unprofessional and unapologetic to customers. We watched him avoid making table appearances to the multiple parties who continued top request a manager(including ours). It took us an hour and a half to get our first drink… which we only got because I had to hunt the manager down across the restaurant! Once I found Elvis, he was hostile and rude and completely apathetic to the situation. He literally threatened to «sell our good» to another party if we wanted to leave. I’ve never experienced a dining interaction with a restaurant manager quite like this. By the time we actually received our food we’d been sitting for almost 2 hours. Then, on top of everything, the food was awful. Some was cold, others food was obviously previously frozen, and overall a pathetic attempt at an upscale seafood dining experience. The poor management resonates through every aspect of the restaurant and it is apparent early on. I strongly advise potential diners to seek out of the many other restaurants in the area… we walked next door to Hudson Grill after the 2 hour plus nightmare and the difference was night and day. AVOIDMCCORMICK’S ATALLCOST!

One star is too much for this business! After an hour and a half of waiting, we finally got drinks and an appetizer. Apparently it’s typical to wait 30 – 45 minutes FOR A DRINK!!! Once we got our food, some of the fish was poorly cooked and inedible. After repeated requests to speak with the manager, Elvis, he finally came to our table after two hours! He was completely unapologetic! He tried to bargain with us for comping our meal! So unprofessional and even aggressive! After speaking to a few of the servers, we learned that Elvis’ lack of professionalism is typical. The employees GAVE us the contact information for the general manager, because apparently he’s more professional. Don’t waste your time here, your business is not appreciated and I feel like you can get the same food, and faster service at Red Lobster.

Service was slow(overall) One order didn’t come out until 5 – 6 minutes after the other meals. No truffle taste in any of their truffle items(mashed potatoes and frites). Red Grouper was good. Parmesan Crusted Chicken: chicken was good but capers were cooked with no taste and a couple of rotten tomatoes. For the price the meal and service should be on point.

Visited this place on Christmas Day. The service was horrible. The server did not explain any of the items when asked. She read the menu verbatim in a sarcastic manner. I ordered the fried shrimp. My fries were cold. I will never eat here again.

We went on Christmas Day and this was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten in a very long time. It was definitely not worth $ 135 for two people. We would have been better off looking for the yellow sign and dining at the Waffle House. My wife meal of the seafood trio had no flavor and we were looking for the rest of the meal. It had a three scrawny shrimp, 3 ounces of salmon and 3 shrimp supposedly stuffed with a half teaspoon of breadcrumbs. I had the blacken grouper that was dry and overly seasoned. I got it Oscar style that was definitely not worth the extra $ 8.50 on flavor alone. With asparagus, this entrée was over $ 40 and was well not worth it! Again, we should have looked for the yellow sign… Thanks McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks for the worst Christmas meal I have had in many, many years!

Just your typical chain restaurant in downtown Atlanta. I didn’t feel anything special about this place. Food took a long time to be served, it was super touristy, and ended up being quite expensive. Wouldn’t go back.

Not great. Mixed grill over cooked bread tastes like dried cardboard. Potatoes were like burnt rocks. Asparagus dry and burnt. Why would anyone come back here?

This was really the icing on the cake for my experiences at McCormick and Schmicks. I took 3 clients to a dinner there and spent almost $ 500 and the dinner took over 3 hours. The issues during the dinner were: 1. Poor attentiveness to our needs 2. Dinner took over 3 hours 3. Food was under-cooked 4. Food was cold 5. Tables around us had yet to be cleaned off 6. Waitress didn’t even ask on of my clients how they wanted their steak cooked 7. Fish was rubbery On top of the issues above I sent a message to the restaurant and got a call from the manager. After speaking to him for probably 20 minutes his response was«was there anything we did right?» And my answer, not really. He then proceeded to tell me he wanted to take care of me and offered some suggestions and said he would follow through with me. That was over a month ago and I have heard nothing. It is easy to say that the poor experience comes from the top. I have continued to have poor experiences at M&S for a while now and the value just doesn’t equal the cost anymore. Landry’s should spin them off because it is just hurting their reputation. No matter what you do, don’t visit this location as they clearly don’t care about their customers!

After my post on Unilocal a male manager reached out to me and I explained the entire situation. The manager said he wanted to make it right and offered my wife and I a gift certificate to use at any of their other properties, said it would come from corporate, so it may take a couple weeks. 4 months later, nothing! Not shocking after our experience! And I can see from recent posts on Unilocal that things haven’t changed either!

I’m here for a work meeting and staying at the Omni. I went downstairs to eat at McCormicks and am pleasantly surprised. I’m quite the mussel fanatic, and the mussels here are the best I’ve had since being in the USA and I’m sitting at the bar waiting for my second serving. The bartender Shaun is excellent, and not only remembers your name, but treats you like an old friend. He has been extremely respectful to everyone that has come in although they’ve technically closed now. I’m not only looking forward to my serving serving of mussels, but looking forward to tipping Shaun as well. Ps: the Kale salad also rocks. Great balance between the sweet Apple dressing and slices, the bacon flavor, and the kales bitterness.

Mediocre food and terrible service. The bouillabaisse tasted like spicy salt water. No depth of flavor. The seafood was overlooked and soggy.

Very nice people but terribly slow service. We gave up after two hours and only appetizers and drinks. Nobody took our order after nearly 2 hours. The place was practically empty. We left. Not worth being ignored. Tip: order 2 drinks because it takes 45 minutes to get it!

We were so looking forward to coming here. The wait staff were too rushed… not enough to give adequate services at these prices I ordered the New York strip asked for rare it came out medium plus, when I mentioned it to the manager offered me another steak my friend already had hers I didn’t want wait then eat alone. the manager then offered me another wine free. it was a $ 9 wine for a $ 30 very tasteless over cooked steak which was tough and I couldn’t eat, plus a. lobster tail on the side which lacked flavor then we had to ask for the butter. Such a disappointing dinner. Though the shrimp kisses and clam corn chowder were good also my friends rib was good. Sorry won’t be rushing back. and I have dined all over the world.

Omg where do I start. Ambiance loud for no reason, bunch of pompous individuals trying to flex. Décor was very nice, not to dark and not to light perfect lighting. The meal. Appetizer left a lot to be desired, shrimp wrapped in bacon essentially was what it was. Not very good, shrimp small and not succulent. Main course, I had the scallops, rubbery, dry, chewy, and small for the price. Quantity was insufficient for 30 dollars, and then to sit them on a bed of what essentially was hash Browns made them less palatable. Drink menu ok, nothing to write home about.

This was without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I just spent 3 hours at this restaurant and left without even getting dinner. Where to begin… I went here with a group from work after a conference. This place is right next door to the GWCC, so you would think they would know and be prepared when there are big conferences in town. Apparently their planning skills are about as good as their ability to serve food(pretty much the bare minimum to call yourself a restaurant). To say the least, they obviously weren’t prepared. I had a reservation made for 7:30. We were seated at 7:45. Not so bad, as it was busy, but that was the least amount of time we waited for anything. After being seated it took about 15 minutes to even see a waiter. When he finally came over, we ordered wine for the table. That took another 15 to 20 minutes at least. After being at the restaurant for an hour and a half, we only had bread and wine(which the bread also took forever). We ordered appetizers and entrees. After asking more times than I can even count, we finally got some appetizers, in a scattered fashion. There were at best ok. At this point, there still was no apology, no urgency to correct the situation, and despite complaining to several staff members, absolutely NO signs of the manager. Finally we asked for the manager specifically. He came over but barely had anything to say. We are over 2 hours in at this point. I should note that I’m a fairly forgiving person, as I’ve worked in the industry a long time, but this restaurant is run so poorly that I couldn’t even begin to understand how they are in business. Our waiter was clearly busy, but the number of fellow waiters/waitresses/hosts/bussers that walked by our table without acknowledging anything, refilling th water or bread, or notifying a manger is a testament to how poorly trained the staff is and how little teamwork and basic principles of running a restaurant are not even touched on in this place. 3 hours later, we decided we didn’t even care about the food, we just wanted to leave. Feeling like prisoners, it took forever to even get a check and the manager barely apologized. They charged us only for the wine, but after this experience, I can’t believe we even paid for that. I will never go to this chain again. Get your shit together. I could have had a better meal at McDonalds. Probably because I might have actually gotten food there.

Here are my issues: 1. Service was slow — we had to ask for a server and she she finally showed up was slow!!! 2. The semi-private room we were sat in was FILLED with fruit flies! 3. My friend’s salad had a piece of plastic bag in it. 4. I had 2 of the same drinks and each one was different :-/ 5. Did I saw it was slow??? I won’t be back… not worth the money to me!

This restaurant was just across the street from the Omni hotel where I was staying. I had been to a number of these on the West Coast and have good service and food quality. Unfortunately, this was NOT the case with my visit to the Atlanta M&S. I had a business dinner there and the entrée was lackluster. The scallops had no sear on them and could have just as well been microwaved. Start with a hot pan next time! Really shameful for a seafood restaurant. The service was a bit hurried and we were never offered dessert. With so many good seafood restaurants in the area, I won’t be coming back here next time I’m in town.

Sehr durchschnittlich.
