What a fun place. So cute on the inside! Great renovation on the old Mirko Restaurant. Very eclectic and fantastic colors and textures. The music was upbeat and modern. Now on to the food. We tried the Deconstructed Samosas Chat — beautiful blend of spiced chick peas and three large pastry Samosas filled with a spiced potato and green pea mixture. Served in good sized bowl and enough to share. We also tried the Thali plate which had small tastes of various pickles, a yogurt blend, dessert and several specialty dishes. So glad we stopped in for lunch. The staff was very attentive and the open kitchen was a nice touch to the street food flair.

This has quickly become my favorite Indian restaurant in Atlanta. Though I think their garlic naan leaves a little to be desired, the rest of the food far makes up for it. The prices are good, the portions are big and DELICIOUS. Best Tikka Masala I’ve had. Their atmosphere is great and the service is wonderful.

I feel like I have died and gone to Indian food heaven. The menu is a little dense if you aren’t familiar with Indian food but this is a good place to be adventurous. I can’t speak to authenticity in Indian food but this place definitely captures the overwhelming flavor and spirit in Indian food. They didn’t ask about spice levels, so expect some bite to their curries. Friendly and helpful staff. A little pricy, but worth it. Looks like I have a go-to spot in Atlanta now.

I always wanted to try Masti and I’m happy that I finally went tonight. Very good service and food. I tried the meat samosas for the app and I wasn’t disappointed. Since I love Biryani, I asked if I could make a combo with chicken & lamb and they made it happen. It was a large portion and very delicious. I did not expect the hint of spice but it was good. I highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

I’ve never actually stepped foot inside this place, but it quickly became our weekly go-to delivery(UberEats). At this point we have tried around 10 dishes, from apps and dumplings, to main courses, to hardcore street food. Everything has been VERY tasty — even after the delivery time. I highly recommend — it’s everything you love about flavour, fusion, and variety, all on the same plate! P. S. Okra fries are heavenly. P. P. S. Don’t be afraid to try something new(or something you can’t pronounce). I’ve not met a dish I did not like on this menu, and they do a good job explaining their menu items on the descriptions.

ABSOLUTELYFANTASTIC! From the colorful, fun, vibrant atmosphere. To the YUMMY amazing menu. I had a SERIOUS craving for Indian food, found this place on Unilocal and decided to check it out. The staff was BEYONDFRIENDLY, and the portions are huge! I will for sure be back! I got the chicken tiki masala, rice, garlic naan, and masala coffee…

One word OUTSTANDING! Best Indian restaurant I have been to… It’s the closest authentic Indian food you can get to in terms of taste which is very rare in US. They have a nice patio too, to enjoy the summer weather. It would be a sin for Indian food lovers to miss this place! Go now

I’m not a huge fan of Indian food so this was a pleasant surprise. I came here on a Saturday as a party of three. It was a bit crowded so there was a wait but the staff was friendly and kept coming by to give us updates. We ordered a variety of dishes to share — chicken biryani, garlic naan, meat samosas, momos and a vegetarian dish I can’t recall. Quite frankly, the portions were huge so we probably should have ordered less food. There were a couple of items on the spicy side but I can’t say we weren’t warned. Everything was quite flavorful and well-prepared though. If you want something other than the standard/common Indian fare, this is definitely the place for you.

This is definitely my favorite Indian cuisine restaurant. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. Friendly staff & great service. The food is always awesome. They’re very accommodating, if you’re unfamiliar they’ll explain the dish to you and offer to lower the spicy heat of the dish. This is casual dining, you won’t find any belly dancers & Indian weddings here like in more upscale Indian restaurants, but the quality of the food and staff is just as good.

Very interesting experience eating here. When we first arrived at the restaurant, we were expecting a party of 5 or 6 people and told the wait or so. We received a very rude response from this guy who looked liked the owner or manger that we have to give him an exact number because he was taking reservations… The restaurant was half empty and what difference does one person make when we are sitting at three square tables put together?! I was really looking forward to trying this place out especially the fusion and street food dishes but that first impression really ruined the meal for me. Anyway, for the actual review of the restaurant. The place is decorated in a very hip style with colorful bottles lining the walls. From the decoration, it looked like the place would cater to the younger crowd. Now on to the food. My friends and I all decided to order different dishes so we can taste and share. The flavors and presentation of the food was good and a very interesting take on trasitional indian dishes. The wings were especially good had a great amount of sweet and spicy. We also ordered the two different chats on the menu, again flavor wise both were good but both dishes were over powered by chickpeas and not much of anything else. Hope to try the place again and get a better experience with the service.

You can find Masti Fun Indian Street Eats at 2945 N Druid Hills Rd, Atlanta, GA30329 in Toco Hills, in the Toco Hills Shopping Center anchored by the Kosher Kroger on one end, and a Publix on the other end. The shopping center also has several other better-than-average restaurants including Chris Pizza, Petite Auberge, and Top Spice Thai — there are also to exceptional bagel shops: the classic Bagel Palace and the newcomer, Goldbergs. Parking are in the lots surrounding this massive shopping center so there’s no shortage, however you may need to walk a bit to get to the restaurant. Masti is an interesting concept brought to life by the same people who have Café Bombay near the Target on North Druid Hills. While Café Bombay is excellent, the style of Masti will appeal to a much younger audience, providing a part-industrial, part Indian street scene that is entirely hipster. The food and drink offerings feed into that same scene for a winning combination that offers a touch of South-Asian/Indian with awesome drinks that are entirely approachable by most Americans. When your seated your server will present you with food and drink menus. Masti has a full bar but you’ll probably want to try one of the signature drinks like the Sharabi Lassi or the exceptional Lion Stout from Sri Lanka. This latter is one of my favorites and keeps me coming back to Café Bombay. If the Stout is too much you can also get one of several United Brewing varieties — I’d recommend the Taj Mahal over the Kingfisher as it has a bit more mouth feel and flavor(not that any of these lager are over-the-top — just slightly above your common American pilsner or lager). Or if you’re here during lunch and plan to return to work, try the Thums Up — it’s quite popular in India and now distributed by Coke. It’s a sweet, very effervescent cola. You’ll also receive a small bowl of crunchy colorful snacks to keep you busy as you wait on food. Like the fantastic Chai Pani in Decatur and the excellent vegetarian Chat Patti in Patel Plaza, Masti features the quick eats you would typically find on the streets in New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. These are combinations of the familiar(like samosas and puris) dosed with chic pea, onion, cilantro and a mix of masala and curd, offered up as a snack or appetizer. This is food meant to be shared or eaten quickly to offset sudden hunger and fits in great with the tapas crowd. What Masti does with it is unusual though offering up «deconstructed» chaats — basically the dishes are layered up in a bowl with the wet stuff on the bottom and the basic samosa or aloo tika floated on top. This is really unusual and quite filling — you’ll want to split this for sure. You can also get a couple of different momos — your basic Asian dumpling, as an appetizer, something you usually only see in the northeastern part of India or Indonesia — there are also a few noodle dishes as well, which would interest my friends from Calcutta. The other thing that’s interesting is the fusion between many cuisines — for instance there’s a chicken tika masala casadilla that’s fantastic — the flavors and method of presentation just works. You’ll also find tacos, burritos and sandwiches of different varieties, all made Indian style and all worth trying. Of the rest of the menu, there are some very interesting items you won’t typically find in other Indian restaurants, like Hot Dogs, Burgers and Sliders with awesome sides of Masala fries(or if you’re adventurous order the Khukuri Bhindi or Masti Masala fries). Of course none of these are your typical American versions and worth trying like the Chicken Masala burgers. The combination of familiar, mixes of texture, and interesting sauces make for something new and what else do you want with your food? If you’re not sure, try a dosa while you muddle through the menu or order their take on the classic fish and chips. You’ll notice several seafood items on the menu which you don’t typically find in the Indian interior as those are coastal specialties. I’ve tried the thali plate which is something I love to do as it provides a taste of several items so you can compare and see what you like best. Alas, while the plate is exceptionally pretty(and comes with chapati!) I don’t recommend it here. The small dishes are almost all sauce with little in there to fill you up — it’s certainly something they can improve upon. The naans are good — try the bullet or chili naan to mix things up a bit and add some spice to your meal. Masti also provides several different kulfi combinations if you need a little sweet to tone down the spiciness after your meal, as well as ice cream(coconut and green tea) and one of my favorites, ras malai. Hungry yet?

Maasti delivers the same delicious quality Indian food as their sister restaurant Café Bombay, but with a completely different atmosphere and menu. Don’t let the graphics wrap on the front door fool you, the interior is really beautiful and there is also an outdoor patio. The food was really great and the menu is huge and a nice change of pace from the traditional Indian offerings. Great service as well! A wonderful addition to the Atlanta Indian cuisine scene.

Fun, colorful décor, and nice servers in yellow T shirts. It feels playful. They put these cute crunchy hollow rice puffs at the table, red, orange, green, yellow, and white, in a little bowl, as soon as you sit down. They have a lunch thali, which my phone morbidly autocorrected to Thalidomide, each time I tried to caption my photo of it. Lunch thali was dandy, with a choice of one something from a list,(saag aloo, spinach and potatoes) but it came with naan and dal and a crunchy bread I don’t know what to call and alarmingly spicy something pickly and raita AND a little dessert. All in those authentic little Indian metal bowls, I love those for some reason. More than I could eat, a deal, and very good. The leftovers wound up enhancing dinner that night. Good cardamom tea on a cold day. Very nice servers, explaining the dishes, checking, not rushing, asking if I wanted anything else. Solid. Will bring my family now that I have scouted it.

yum! I was in search for alternate Indian Restaurant after had i had horrible experience at Tabla.. We were quickly seated and provided yummy fried puffs(rice puff) to eat while we looked the menu. Beautiful décor. Themed to look like a street side restaurant fused into a 5-star hotel. Jewel toned velvet booths. Rustic tin chairs. concrete floor. A very hip trendy place. The menu is vast and there’s loads to pick from, I wanted to try everything. Everything on the menu looked tempting. We ordered Chinese Bhel, Aloo Tikki & Chilli Paneer, it was amazing. I had asked Chinnese Bhel to be spicy, which it was. The perfect Bhel. The food here was amazing — not greasy, super fresh, and huge portions. I look forward to exploring more of the menu. Service was exceptional. Drinks menu is extensive & very creative. Servers were amazing. Very polite & fast. Best service ever at an Indian restaurant. Refreshing to see Indian servers talking in Hindi, smiling and engaging in small talk. Our waiter was really pleasant and quick with drink refills. She anticipated needs(more napkins, etc.), which is always a gold star in my book for service. It was also relatively quick for a sit-down lunch, which I really appreciated. I will definitely return soon! Highly Recommended. A must visit for good Indian Street food.

So I walked into this Indian restaurant in the middle of a large shopping center, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But, I was pleasantly overcome by wonderful Indian music being played, the brightly upholstered booths, and the amazing assortment of dishes that you could sample as you were waiting. The servers and the service here were beautiful. I ordered the thali and my dining companion ordered the south Indian dosa and both were ample and fresh absolutely tasty. Unfortunately the restaurant was out of the ingredients to make a sweet Lassie, so I opted for the almond milk, flavored with pistachios, saffron and love. Served in a mason jar, which is not quite Indian, I really enjoyed the taste of the drink as a nice side to the meal. As a person who has lived in India for a year, I definitely recommend this place as fresh, tasty and very Indian.

Four of us stepped into Masti last night to check out whether or not the fusion madness of American-Indian fusion would taste as tantalizing as it sounded. Here’s the run down of the food items we ordered: –Masti Masala Fries — Please don’t miss out on this! The generously portioned dish is flavorful and impossible to stop eating. Its got onions, tomatoes, cilantro, crushed paneer, tossed in chili garlic sauce & topped with fine cheddar cheese. Yes, it is as good as it sounds. One portion can be an entire meal or easily shared among 2 – 3 people. –Mumbai Quesadilla– Fusing Mexican and Indian, this dish bringss the best of both words. The quesadilla is a naan lined with cheese and in my case, filled with Chicken Tikka. It’s topped with onions, tomatoes, cilantro & cheese. Sour cream & salsa come on the side but I found no need for either. YUM! –Thali– The contents change based on their specials but even my white husband enjoyed all the contents. The portions of each Thali dish are a little bigger than we are used to but that’s NOT a complaint! All in all it was a worthy food adventure! Defintely stop by if you’re in the area and are up for a little… Masti!

Ohhhhhhhh yum! We decided on Masti for lunch one day while headed to the Toco Hills plaza. I thought it was only open for dinner so was happy to see it open for lunch. We were quickly seated and provided yummy fried puffs(like shrimp chips) to eat while we perused the menu. I thought this was a order-at-a-bar place, but its definitely a sit down restaurant. The menu is vast and there’s loads to pick from, but I quickly settled on the Thali special. The Thali includes rice, a daily dal special, salad, roti, raita, dessert, and a daily special selection. I got the chicken makhanwala, which isn’t a menu staple, but definitely should be. Holy smokes, it was amazing. Very similar to chicken tikka masala, but the sauce was super creamy and flavorful. I’m pretty sure I liked the bowl. I don’t recall what my dal was, but it was also heavenly and delicious. The dessert was a mango lassi and it was also perfection. One fun thing is that the bring you one roti, but you can get a second one if you ask for it — nice! Definitely a ton of food for lunch but soooooo good! The food here was amazing — not greasy, super fresh, and huge portions. I look forward to exploring more of the menu. Service was exceptional. Our waitress was really pleasant and quick with drink refills. She anticipated needs(more napkins, more roti, etc.), which is always a gold star in my book for service. It was also relatively quick for a sit-down lunch, which I really appreciated. I will definitely return soon! What a great addition to the shopping center!

Creative, delicious, fun, fusion, inexpensive… these are some words I can think of to describe this place. We have had Korean/Mexican fusion trend for few years and for the first time, we have Indian/Mexican/American fusion in Masti. Mesti offers some traditional Indian fares such as Thali and Dosa, but the things that capture my attention is the street food(samosa, momo…) and the fusion fares(taco, wrap, burger, hot dogs…). We ordered the chicken Momo, Kurkuri Bhindi Fries, and Kabab Kathi Rolls. Here is the descriptions of each dish: Momo — It’s a Nepali dumpling that looks and tastes like steamed Chinese dumplings/pot stickers. A very solid dish that taste similar to the ones we had in a Nepali restaurant. 3.5 star. Kurkuri Bhindi Fries — I’ve never heard of or tasted this before today. It’s a fried shredded okra that’s been spiced and breaded, and comes with two dipping sauces(some minty sauce and a ketchup-like sauce that’s spiced and has some smokiness). The okra is super crispy and flavorful on it’s own, but even better with the sauces(I like the red sauce a tad more). 5 star. Kabab Kathi Rolls — As the name suggests, it’s wrap/roll…duh! What sets is apart from other wraps/rolls is they use roti(Indian bread) as the wrapper. The roti itself is to die for; the kabab is flavorful and juicy(I normally hate kabob because they’re almost always too dry). There are also other fixings in the wrap like sauteed onion and pepper… all of which elevates the flavor). I’d put this among the top 5 wraps I’ve ever had. 5 star. Overall, we love the food. The servers were always attentive. I think the price is very reasonable. I recommend checking out this place… I know I’d be coming back… frequently.

Masti Fun Indian Street Eats is a compelling alternative to the tired Indian cuisine buffet concept. Perhaps that’s not even a fair comparison. Chai Pani in Decatur may be more apt. You see, Masti is vibrant. Their walls are ornately decorated with a splash of colors and textures. The booths are appointed with colorful crushed velvet. More than just Indian staples, Masti explores fusion concepts which adds to the youthful and trendy vibe. It’s like Indian flavors on a full speed collision course with American cuisine. Paneer Hot Dogs and Sliders, Butter Chicken Tacos, Chicken Masala Burgers, and Masala Fries?! Yup. I love chai tea — love, love, love it. So aromatic with sweetness and warm spice. Masti even offers iced chai tea. Friggin’ delicious(I never thought a non-alcoholic beverage could ever taste so good). As a starter, we ordered the Samosa Trio. For our entrees, I ordered the Bollywood Masti Dosa and my wife ordered the Thali. Strangely enough, my entrée arrived first. My wife and I sat there eyeing my plate of food. «You can start eating, if you’d like», she said. «No, I’ll wait», I replied. Come on, Masti! You shouldn’t put your guests in that situation! It’s bad form to serve incomplete orders, ya know. A few minutes later, her Thali arrived. The Samosas arrived last, after another couple of minutes. Oh well. Our Samosas — flaky and crispy pastries filled with spiced potatoes and green peas — were accompanied by two chutneys. Tamarind and mint/cilantro, I believe. Yup, typical samosas and chutneys. No different than any other Indian restaurant you’ve ever been to. What’s with the sad iceberg lettuce that the samosas were plated on? /Shrug. The Bollywood Masti Dosa however… this looked a bit different. I sat there again eyeballing my plate. A Dosa(similar to a crêpe) was wrapped into a cone or teepee shape obscuring the view of the butter chicken contained within. A bowl of sambar(lentil and vegetable stew) and two sauces/chutneys were included. My anticipation heightened as I lifted the dosa to reveal what was hidden underneath, like a pervy boy looking up a girl’s skirt. Butter chicken, rice, chopped red onion, and chopped cilantro sloppily ladled out over what appeared to be a banana leaf. Eat with your hands! Tear off pieces of dosa and use those as your utensils. The butter chicken was a’ight — not the best I’ve ever had, not the worst either. Right down the middle. I didn’t much care for my bowl of sambar, as it was somewhat bitter. My wife appeared to be satisfied with her thali, though she quickly discarded the overly-sour pickled vegetables. The thali included papad and chapatti flatbreads, rice, raita(yogurt condiment), salad, pickled vegetables, sambar, and gulab jamun(Indian donuts). I think the main dish was also butter chicken. Overall, the cuisine itself was average(as was the service). Nevertheless, the concept and atmosphere were refreshing improvements over many of the Indian restaurants established in the metro-ATL area. I might give them another try in a few months.

I’ve visited Masti three times since they’ve opened, and each visit seems more fun than the next. I keep hesitating on writing this review because I can’t figure out how to be effusive with praise and not sound like a total cliché. In short, I immediately fell in love with Masti. Ricky Walia has knocked it out of the park with this creation. «Masti» is the Hindi word for«fun.» The place is indeed a fun take on Indian street food. Even the décor is festive without being ostentatious. Fun colors and tons of energetic, smiling people. And the food is really, very good. Among the highlights I’ll point out: Sliders. Yes, sliders. On an Indian menu. Three varieties – and I’ve sampled all three. I have a hard time deciding which is my favorite. Chicken Masala, Spiced Keema, and Paneer. Each is totally savory and delicious in its own, magnificent way. The Chicken and the Spiced Keema are total crowd-pleasers. The meat is succulent. The spices will dance across your tongue. And the Paneer slider will thrill the vegetarians amongst us. Heck, the paneer thrills me. Simply delicious. Last night I had a Mumbai Quesadilla(as seen on the Specials menu). It was my favorite dish of the evening. This was a generous portion of butter chicken and other spices within a tortilla, presented quesadilla-style. There was a very buttery-cheesy foam on the side which was a perfect accompaniment to the quesadilla. I would happily order this again. My friend had the Paneer Delhi-Chinatown Hakka Noodles and made them disappear. I did not get to sample this dish, but it certainly seems to please. Yet another, winning Sino-Indian fusion. On my first visit, I tried the Fish & Chips. These tilapia pieces are dipped in chickpea flour and fried. Served with some good old-fashioned chips, and a couple of different sauces. The effect is good. A nice Indian take on a classic pub offering. We also had the Chicken Momo. You’re going to order this and say, «oh, it’s an Asian steamed dumpling thing.» Yes. You should still eat it. Lastly, I was very much impressed with the Deconstructed Samosa Chat. As it sounds, this was something of an inside-out samosa dish. Excellent fillings with the right kind of fried samosa wrapping on top. You could even make a meal out of this dish, even though one would initially regard it as a starter. Service has always been attentive each time I’ve visited. Multiple staff members(including the manager) made sure my glass was full, checking to see if we needed anything, and generally taking care of their guests. I am looking forward to my next trip to Masti. Holler if you’re coming with.
