Customer service was great before we were seated. From there on it went down hill. Waiter was awful. Very rushed. Ignoring or nonchalant when asked a question. Food was okay.

My mom and I were traveling and meeting up with some family and looking for somewhere quick and close to eat. So we checked out good olé Unilocal and did some looking. Marlows had really good reviews and that sealed our fate! We did not make a reservation but that was no problem we were immediately seated outside, our choice. I didn’t really spend time inside to check out the décor, but outside was very simple yet still very nice. Our server was very nice and very helpful! We decided to split and appetizer of the fondue with the pretzel bread sticks and it was so good! Served very hot and the pretzel bread was very soft and fresh. I orders the double cheese burger and fries and although very basic it was still very good! My sister ordered the chicken panini with a cesear salad and she said it was also very good, no complaints. My mom ordered a french dip sandwhich and it was huge and she said very good! The auju was better than she anticipated. Over all Marlows was a really good experience and if ever in the area again would probably stop in again!

Crab nachos were pretty bad, not much crab, mainly cream cheese stuff, and not on a chip. On a flat bread they said was a tortilla. Won’t be getting that again. Big let down, moderate price for no real value in quality or quantity. Sad looking plate. Maybe other things are better, but after that not sure I want to try anything else.

So I went here on Wednesday for my best friends birthday… The food was OK, the service was terrible. We had a party of about 10 people and I’ve never experienced such negative service from the beginning. Our server Maddie, Mady, Madi, I don’t know the spelling was probably the worst server I’ve had to date. She was impatient, slow, and acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She stopped at our table all of 3 – 4 times which isn’t that often when there is a large party. I’ve definitely had better food. Won’t go back. Also, the shrimp & crab nachos are trash. Its literally 8 chips with a sprinkle of seafood and a massive load of cheese and a jalapeño on top.

I visited Marlow’s Tavern for lunch yesterday, and it was OK. The menu was a bit pricey for lunch, and there wasn’t a huge variety to choose from. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Panini, and it was tasty but nothing to write home about. I wasn’t a fan of the fries that it came with though. Service was sufficient, but the kitchen was quite slow. The restaurant wasn’t packed, so I was surprised at how long it took to receive my panini and my friend’s chicken wrap. Will I return in the future? Maybe, for dinner. I believe in second chances.

Hmmm… 4 stars? I am a little shocked the rating of this place. I had Asian tuna salad(yeah. I shouldn’t have salad at the bar like this) and my companies had squash pasta and chicken panini. Since we are Asians, we just shared dishes. Hmmm… None of the dishes were impressive or standout. Just mediocre. Veggies in the salad wasn’t so fresh and dressing was tasteless. Fries that came with chicken panini was A-OK but again I wouldn’t give 4 stars for this. As for service, it wasn’t too bad but it wasn’t outstanding. The server wasn’t super friendly or attentive. He checked on us after the food came out with blank facial expression. Hmm. maybe that was the look he was going for. If it was, way to go, man. You pulled it off. I wouldn’t say that I would never go back since it is conveniently located near Publix shopping center. This makes parking so much easier.

Marlow’s Tavern is the place to be in Midtown. The food is amazing and the bartenders are top notch. I’ve been to over 10 countries and Marlow’s has the best bartenders. Corey is welcomes you like an old friend, it’s great to come in and have him welcome you. Ashley, is another great asset. She has a great smile that gives you a warm welcome. Brenna, gives you this vibe of a friend welcoming you back. Ben, is just great. I love to listen to his stories and he loves welcoming you back. Many places in Midtown have the same food and drinks. The thing that sets them apart is the people and Marlow’s tavern does a step above everyone else. If you’re in Midtown or even anywhere in the Metro area, Marlow’s is the place to be. You won’t be disappointed.

My second time visiting this location for the«Sunday Brunch Buffet.» I won’t be coming back. The food is bland, cold & uninviting. From the stale muffins & Danishes to the overcooked pork sausage. They have one cook, stuffed in a corner preparing omelettes and waffles/pancakes. so there’s always a line to get a half-a** attempt at an omelette. Then they have the nerve to have a tip jar for the cook preparing the omelettes. Here’s a tip. look both ways before you cross the street! When I asked an employee were they bringing out more bacon, he quickly snapped in his response saying, «yea. I know. It’s on the way» and walked off. Wow!

Marlow’s Tavern is one of the popular lunch places near my office mostly because of its proximity. I’ve eaten here a few times, and it’s OK. With«OK» meaning, if there was a place that I liked better or I wanted to walk further than a block, I would go to that place. I’ve had many things on the menu but would only recommend the grilled chicken stack. It’s a substantial amount of protein with two chicken breasts but still doable in one sitting. The chicken, squash, sun-dried tomato sauce, and olive oil all come together for a very tasty dish that is appropriate for lunch or dinner. There is also a small bit of crumbled bacon in this dish, but not enough to make me swoon(I LOVEBACON), however it did add a nice bit of texture and flavor to the dish. The only thing I would steer you away from are the fries. They looked so delicious passing by that I ordered some as a side and they were tough and dry. Looked gorgeous; tasted awful. Service is hit or miss; sometimes it’s really good, sometimes it’s OK and other times your server will disappear. Cross your fingers and take your chances for a winner. The décor is a bummer. All that black furniture is depressing and doesn’t feel tavern-y to me. I can’t imagine drinking a beer here. I can’t even imagine drinking a cocktail here, and I’m always open to vodka. Also, they don’t have happy hour drink specials; one of the bartenders told me that’s because it’s illegal to have happy hour drink specials in GA.(I told him that several other restaurants were ignoring that rule completely because I’ve been to plenty of happy hours with $ 5 martinis and tequila shots.) In conclusion, Marlow’s is OK. Unilocal 100 #32

I live in the same building as Marlow’s and it is always an excellent option. We have been several times and the staff and the food have been outstanding for the value. They often have special menu items and also publish coupons from time to time to really lure us in more often. They have several burger options, and all of the ones I’ve tried I’d gladly recommend. My wife had the Grilled Chicken Stack, and she says she’ll never order anything else there again other than the Grilled Chicken Stack because it is SO good. We’ve gone down just for a drink a time or two as well, and the same experience applies, friendly staff and wide selection. Prices are in line with what you would expect to pay at another mid-range restaurant in Atlanta and the service is top notch. I’d recommend Marlow’s to anyone, whether they were looking for a bite or a pint.

Great location and great food. Your right in the heart of mid town Atlanta so finding parking could be an issue. I was able to walk from an office building so I’m not sure if they have a lot. This location has outdoor seating if your interested in seeing buildings and traffic. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was perfect. I think this is my favorite shrimp and grits, every thing on the plate was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to go back and try something else. The waiter was friendly and attentive.

Besides our slightly annoying waitress, everything was great. Don’t you hate the waitress that is so ready to flip a table or get off that they forget to even up-sell? After she voluntarily brought us our check after rolling through 2 dessert options(no menu) she threw our tab on the table. We said to one another. Well maybe we wanted another drink. But oh well! Hopefully you’ll have better luck. Opt for the bar! But the food is quality and so are the drinks!(That’s where the stars come from)

I’ve had TWO poor experiences at this location. The first time I dined here, my burger was cold and I was a little dissatisfied with the quality once it was«reheated». If that wasnt bad already, I was billed the same amount 3 Times !! I was able to speak with the district manager and get the matter resolved. He was so pleasant I decided to return for a second visit. This was no redemption. We got the nachos to start, and were excited after our waiter strongly suggested them. Only to be disappointed in the bland taste :(I got a burger and my wife got the buffalo chicken wrap. My burger was quite tasty! I was pleased with how fresh it was. However my wife was displeased with the soggyness of the chicken wrap. She told the waiter that she didnt like it as much as she thought but she had already eaten most of it, so was willing to pay for it. Once she told the waiter of her opinion his mood immediately changed, he began to rush, slam and shuffle dishes and no longer engaged with us on the friendly level that he had before her comment. We left and vowed to never return. We’ve given two chances I dont think Marlow’s is worth and third.

I was treated with a group to Marlo’s and while the experience was quite good it didn’t quite hit amazing. I had the meatloaf per recommendation of the server(as compared to shrimp and grits). The loaf was good, perhaps a touch dry, but not anything I’d come back to seek out again. Others in the group had a mix of things. Fish tacos, shrimp and grits and burgers. All seemed to indicate good food but none hit that level where you’d rave about it. I’d go again but wouldn’t seek it out.

I think I’ll try something different each time we come to Marlow’s;-) We topped the evening off with the chocolate cake and ice cream… DELISH!!!

I came here for a few drinks and appetizers with my grandma! We were visiting from out of state. I was disappointed they don’t do happy hour. The food was ok but nothing amazing and the prices were a little high. Maybe I’m just use to different type of food where I’m from. The fried okra was good and so was the service. All and all mediocre. Stereotypical tavern nothing exciting

I really enjoyed my experience here. First off, the staff and management of this establishment are fantastic. My fiancé and I had never eaten here before(we were in town for the SEC championship) and the manager came up to us to help us figure out what we wanted to eat. Not only did he come up and help us order but he brought us out a complimentary appetizer. The appetizer was delicious to say the least; it was house made chips with Gorgonzola dressing and cheese. On top of the«free» appetizer we also ordered the fried asparagus and that too was delicious. As an entrée I ordered the buffalo wrap and fries. It was a very good plate of food. It perfectly accompanied my beer and all was well. My fiancé ordered the burger and fries and she cleaned the plate. All the food was prepared properly and showed lovely presentation. My fiancé and I were really happy when we left this establishment. The food served that is served here is very good and the staff/management really treat you well. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Atlanta.

Absolutely love this place. You would never know how amazing the restaurant is from the outside or even the inside. The décor is very understated & simple. Started off with the asparagus fries and a cucumber martini, which was off the menu but the bartender executed perfectly. Used fresh muddled cucumber as opposed to a syrup or cucumber flavored vodka, which I can appreciate. Our server Carlos relayed the special to us with a lot of detail but nothing especially grabbed my attention. Asparagus fries came out and they were the thinner spears of asparagus in a light tempura batter & citrus aoli. Use the aoli, don’t play yourself. The fries were seasoned with just sea salt and tasted really amazing! For entrees I went went with the Marlows Patty Melt, cooked medium rare. I was inclined to change the cheese to cheddar, but against my better judgement I stuck with the American. On the side they have a bunch of options I went with the chickpea fries. My friend got the fish tacos. Food comes and the plate looks amazing; the chickpea fries are shaped like Jenga pieces and stacked as such. Patty melt is sliced down the middle and oozing with cheese and deliciousness. The temperature was a true medium rare. Fish taco plate was very vibrant looking as well. Tastewise, I think the fish tacos could benefit from some extra spice or citric flavors, or both, but not bad at all. Patty melt absolutely heavenly, cheesy, everything you’d want from a patty melt. Now the chickpea fries, when I tell you they were good as ****… I almost died and went to heaven. It was like a warm crispy outside and inside its the perfect runny hummus and a chunky pieces of chickpea. I am a hummus girl so these knocked it out of the park for me. I should of stopped there but I wanted dessert. I’m glad I asked because they gave me the cutest little menu in a small square shape. And this I love, they also featured dessert martinis and after dinner cocktails on one side, desserts on the other. I went with solid dessert and we got the brûlée cause who skips Crème brûlée and also the warm chocolate cake. The Crème brûlée was huge compared to normal servings at restaurant. It was light and not overbearingly sweet. The carmelized bit on the top was so even and perfect, not scorched but also you could tell the chef wasn’t being lazy, and took his time ensuring a even amber top. The chocolate cake won me over and I’m not even a chocolate person. The sauce was what did it for me, it was a pecan whisky sauce. To me it was a lot like the coconut pecan frosting from German chocolate cakes. Absolutely amazing. So then I was stuffed to the brim. I came home and slept for 3 hours. It was awesomeeee. Go to Marlows.

After coming in town a little later on a Friday for a wedding the next day, getting a bite to eat was at the top of the priority list. Since we were valeting our car, finding something within walking distance was a must. Enter… the Unilocal app. We scoped out and probably over-analyzed where we were going to feed our hunger. And we finally settle on a place. I know what you’re thinking, «was it Marlow’s Tavern?» But alas my friends it was not. Now I can’t even think of what our final destination was supposed to be. But in the hangry moments just on the cusp of late night, we walk by Marlow’s. And I am sure glad we did. Upon walking in, the bar scene had obviously picked up in that area. It was crowded and getting on the loud side. So we were happy to see that still many people were experiencing the restaurant side of things. We were seated and promptly served some local beers. Once again, the memory is hazy. But the waiters recommendation was spot on for what I was feeling. We started with an order of truffle fries that were fresh, crispy, and quite amazing. These must be pretty popular, because that truffle oil was the scent most strong as you walk through the doors. I opted for a popular favorite of mine, the French Dip. I always temper my expectations when it says«prime rip» in the description. So often restaurants will try and pass an over-cooked roast as «prime rib». But not the chefs at Marlow’s. The put some high quality rare meats and serve it with a delicious au jus. If I had a complaint, it would be that there was not enough of the au jus! Because I soaked up every last drop. Overall this was a great service, ambiance, and food experience. We are often on this side of Atlanta, so I’m sure a trip to Marlow’s will be somewhere in our future.

The food is awesome and the people that work here are really nice. I’ve been here about six times, it’s consistently good food and service. The atmosphere is nice and mellow. I guess on big football game days it’s a bit busier but all in all its chill. The lighting is perfect! I don’t like bright lights and this place is perfectly dim. I wish they would do different things on different nights. Would be cool if they had a karaōke night or maybe one night they throw in a DJ& dance floor. I dunno, just thinking it would be a good spot for some different things. The bottom line is this place has a great atmosphere with really good food and the staff is very friendly.

This was just not a fun experience. Last night I placed a to go order and the last thing I’m told is that my order will take 15 minutes, 20 max. When I arrive 30 minutes later, my order is still not ready. I don’t understand why it takes 40 minutes to make a burger and some calamari. Also because they weren’t ready on time, my friends who were waiting in the elevator decided it was taking too long so guess who had to run around the building in the rain? Yours truly. As far as the service goes, the bartenders looked pretty uninterested in helping me. They weren’t rude, just not great. And for the kicker, not only was everything either over or under done, something must not having been good bc that was the only thing I had eaten yesterday and now I’ve been sick all night with a stomach ache. The only reason I’ve given this 2 stars instead of 1 is bc I’ve eaten here several times before and the food was always decent but after this I’m not sure if I would go back.

So here’s how you turn a $ 15 meal into a $ 50 experience: You eat at Marlow’s, where waiting for one’s receipt takes so long, you’re two minutes and fifty seconds late to rescuing your car from the overzealous meter-maid who is speedily leaving you a $ 35 parking violation. Et Voilà! $ 50. Now, I know what you’re saying. You’re saying, why should the restaurant suffer for this? Well, that receipt took fifteen minutes to get to my table. In fact, I waited ten minutes on top of that just to get my check before I could pay for my meal. And for the last ten minutes I was there, I couldn’t even find my waitress in order to flag her down and get something moving. She was nowhere to be found. That IS the issue with the restaurant, no matter my feelings about parking tickets. Several times I thought, «Man I should go stuff another quarter or two in the meter while I’m waiting for my receipt.» But I also kept thinking, «If I do that, they’re going to think I’m dining & dashing. Plus, why should I have to buy another 30 min of time just for a freakin’ receipt?» That being said, the food was alright. I had a chicken stack, which satisfies all my no-grains requirements, and really, was quite tasty. But as I’ve indicated, what started off as a decent meal degraded quickly into a patience-trying, sure-enough-I-got-a-ticket experience. I guess now I know that getting into and out of this place requires a two-hour parking investment instead of a 90 min buy-in on the meter.

Honestly? I’ve reached that point in my life where a sports bar is a sports bar is a sports bar, and like all the other sports bars Marlows Tavern is just… a sports bar. It’s exactly what you’d expect: beer, wine & cocktails, burgers, small bites, and the other«usuals» on a sports bar menu. At 8 pm on a weeknight, the lights are turned way down low, making the place dark as heck. Why is it so dark?! I could barely read the menu. I was«that girl» deciding what to eat by the glow of her iPhone. Nothing was bad. But nothing was special or memorable. I had the cheapest glass of red wine I could find($ 8) and a burger. Meh on both. Easily accessible from MARTA, but not a lot of street parking if you drive. That’s all folks.

Terrible service tonight. Siemone rushed us the entire time we were there. It was hard to enjoy our meal. I ordered the salmon special, which was a little salty, but tasty overall. The gin job was crisp and refreshing. A glass of the La Crema Chardonnay was very nice. Unfortunately, from start to finish, we felt rushed. With ordering, with eating, with dessert choices, and with payment. Our server was disengaged and completely uninterested. She expected two people with two different drinks to share a giant soup spoon for sweetener. She charged for an item we didn’t receive, and she didn’t automatically bring change for a cash payment. At times, I felt unwelcome. I had heard about great service, but unfortunately that was not out experience tonight.

Updated review: I ordered take out, arrived and the bartender, Ashley, had forgotten to put it in. She apologized, the usual manager I see all the time came by to apologize, all greeting me by first name. A+ for attention to detail. So I decided to plop down at the bar and ask Ashley her favorite drink on draft and I’ll wait, no big deal. She brings me an awesome high gravity beer. I get my bill and have been given a discount as well as my beer on the house. Hospitality at its finest! So I do what most ordinary people won’t, mostly because I’ve served before and also because I’ve always had amazing customer service at this location since my boyfriend lives in the condos above it and we frequent this establishment. I tipped $ 15 on my to go order and immediately went to Unilocal to up them from a 4 to a solid 5 stars well deserved. Always gracious Marlow’s! Thank you!
