Review is based on kids’ haircuts: This place came recommended by friends who have been going here for years. It is in a small shopping center off of Briarcliff. I really needed to get my son and daughter’s hair cut. I usually take them to a kid-specific haircut, but was getting tired of paying close to $ 30 plus parking for a trim. I decided to call Little Scissors and they have availability both times that I went. The women were really kind and actually listened to what I wanted. There are no TVS and airplanes to sit in, but they did amazing jobs at cutting hair. Yes, they gave the kids lollypops too. They do have a small play area for kids which is nice if a parent is getting their hair cut/colored. I liked how I saw people of all ages there from as young as my kids to a woman in her 80s. The older people love my kids and it gives my kids an opportunity to show how to be polite and speak with others. The only downside is that they only take cash. I did not have any cash the 1st time I went, but they allowed for me to go get cash a the QA near by and bring it back. I liked how they trusted me. They say that this happens all of the time. We will definitely be going back there.

Word to the wise! Stay away!!! The saying that you get what you pay for is not true in this case! That was a huge waste of $ 30! I could/should have gone to a legitimate salon for not much more and I would have gotten a hair cut that didn’t look like my 4 year old niece had done it. My mother and sister highly recommended this place for a quick trim. So against the advice of my friends who warned it would be a big mistake I tried it out. I arrived at the salon with a head of dirty hair with lots of dents from being in a pony tail assuming they would wash it prior to trimming. When I sat down and she immediately started cutting my hair dry! I asked her if she was going to wash it. She smiled and nodded and continued her work. I foolishly assumed she was cutting away some split end but would wash it shortly. Next thing I know she is done and my hair is disgusting! I should have refused to pay. I might as well have cut off my own split ends and saved some money. What kind of hair cutting establishment does a dry trim on long wavy hair??? Do they even have hair training?!? My hair was«cut»(aka messed up) by Linda.

The stylists are all very sweet, good with children, and quick. No appointments required. No frills, but perfect for kid(especially boy) haircuts. Cash or check only! I have pulled into the parking lot a few times only to realize I didn’t have cash.

I have been going to Little Scissors for 15 years for my haircuts and trims. I have always been very happy with the haircuts and the costs are very competitive. The shop is always clean and neat, and if you have a sensitive nose, its not overly perfumed. This is a true neighborhood salon where they treat you like a member of the family. If you are looking for a great haircut at a reasonable price you can’t go wrong at Little Scissors.

I really want to support the local neighborhood small businesses so I frequent this place quite often. If you’re looking for a cheap and affordable place for the occasional trim, this is it. But if you’re looking for a hair makeover, you’ll want to stick to a higher end salon for the professional work. I find that I have trouble communicating specific instructions about what I want to these wonderful ladies but they are so nice that I just don’t give up. They only take cash or check — can be annoying when I’m not sufficiently prepared and only realize after getting there.

I took my daughter here for the first time today. The haircut was ok. The price was the same as Salon Red Kids in Decatur only without the bells an Nothing to write home about. My daughter got a decent haircut. She hates getting her hair cut so it’s never easy to get it done. I would have given more stars except the place smelled extra bad. Most hair parlors that do women’s hair smell like dye and perm, but this was extra bad. Also, they don’t take plastic so make sure you have cash or a check.

I have been going to Little Scissors probably since they opened. They do a fabulous job for half the price of a Buckhead Salon. The atmosphere is certainly not as chic, but Charlene’s cuts, rival any Buckhead salon I have tried. My boys do prefer the fancy Buckhead kid salon, mostly for the train table and fire engine seats, but the children’s hair cuts at Little Scissors are not as good a deal as the adults, so I don’t mind. I almost never have to wait, and I almost always run into folks from the neighborhood. Small town charm in the big city!

When the pocketbook says«Ouch», I head to Little Scissors for my «in-between trims». This busy hair cuttery is run by a charming group of ladies who– along with their«little scissors» transform the heads of many families in the NE Atlanta corridor. Known for their work with kids, they also do a great job with men and women of all ages. They are fast and affordable. My guy has started going here upon my urging — they do a great job keeping him look neat too.
