It was a pretty decent breakfast place. I wouldn’t say it was the best I’ve had but it’s on par with most places I’ve been. Honestly speaking it’s breakfast. As long as you don’t screw it up, I’ll take it. One thing they don’t do well is the omelette though. It’s thin and pretty generic looking. So when I saw a Unilocal picture I got the skillet instead. It was much more appetizing. It comes with a biscuit but can be upgraded to a pancake for $ 1.50 more. I got the pancake. It’s just a plain ‘ol pancake. Bargain wise Original House of Pancake beats them but J. C’s isn’t bad either. No one beats Flying Biscuits pancakes though. The server was friendly and on top of things. She checked on us repeatedly. The inside design aims for a 60−80s flashback with a modern twist. It works well. The music was kind of loud though unnecessarily. Overall, it’s a solid breakfast place.

Sorry to say, after bragging on this restaurant I was a bit let down. I’d been bugging a friend to go with me for quite a while and finally got her to go. We were there during lunch service. Not very many folks there mid week(dec 23) but it seemed there was only one waiter on the floor. He seemed to be running everywhere. It took awhile for order to be taken. Coffee brought right away but cream was bad so long wait for server to reappear. My friend finally got up and went in search of cups and coffee herself. When waiter finally reappeared with meal(again leaving quickly to attend to table on other side of room) my eggs were cooked hard(not good for eggs benny). I encouraged my friend to begin eating as I waited for return of server who eventually came, apologized and hurried off to kitchen. Return was fairly quick but follow up potatoes were way over cooked. Dang. Just ate the ones that were edible, paid check and left. I want to believe that the issues were about under-staffing problem. Will give another try before drawing final opinion. Kudos to the server for giving it his all under trying circumstances, sorry didn’t get your name.

Just ate here. Food was good, service amazing. Props to V for anticipating anything we needed and being extremely friendly. Best restaurant service I’ve had in some time.

Meh. The cinnamon roll was tasty but had not nearly enough icing to keep this large man happy, and my sausage and eggs skillet was not up to par. The service was great, but this was strangely average given the size of the crowd eating here. Many better places to eat brunch in Atlanta!

I love this J. Christofer’s! I can’t speak to their other locations but the Brookhaven one has been a delight ever since they opened. The staff is always friendly and the service is speedy. The food is great too! My favorite on the menu is the eggs Benedict they really do it justice.

The atmosphere inside is very friendly. It also feels spacious and cozy at the same time. The staff is great. However, I think the food is so-so. To be fair it could have been my selections. I went for a skillet entry and it was on the dry /overcooked side. My friends did enjoy their selections, though. The biscuits are great.

I had the J. Christopher’s Club which is a warm hearty sandwich with bacon, turkey, ham, among other meats and a fried egg. As a side I got the house salad with balsamic dressing. The sandwich was huge as it was made with 3 slices of bread. The egg was a really great touch it gave a breakfast feel to a toasted sandwich. The house salad was fine although I think that next time I’ll try the breakfast potatoes as a side. Good breakfast spot with something for everybody!

Ok I consider myself a breakfast/brunch expert, and you should know the food isn’t that good if on a weekend the line isn’t constantly out the door and you don’t have a 30+min wait time. A few years ago I had the displeasure of coming here with my husband. I don’t remember what I got but I didn’t finish it. My husband got the shrimp and grits(imo weren’t that good) and fell in love. For the next years he is begging me to go and I refuse, but this Saturday he was practically begging and since I knew all the good places would be packed I caved. We get there and check the menu no shrimp and grits. So «sadly» my husband was forced to order something else the Pantry basket with French toast eggs, potatoes and bacon. I got the blueberry crunch. The food came quickly. Too quickly. It was those generic frozen potatoes which were not hot, barely hot food period and extremely lackluster. Blah this place sucks and now that my husband can’t get the wack shrimp and grits I’m happy to never give them my money again.

Why do people come here to eat? Why am I here? Convenience… only place nearby with breakfast. That must be it, because the food is simple horrible. Worst omelette I’ve ever had. Left out the cheese. Criminal. Cold, soggy potatoes. The good news is that the coffee is decent.

Had the best salad with strawberries, cranberries, and then had blueberry crunch for dessert… OMG! To die for! Mandy was our server, she is so sweet and professional! Ask for her and tell her David B sent you!

The most average brunch in town. you are much better off going to waffle house. The wait is normally pretty long here, the coffee isn’t anything special, all dishes are the epitome of average. I wish this place were better. I also wish they would get their liquor license so they could serve mimosas and bloody mary’s.

Disappointing. The cinnamon roll we ordered(about 3 – 4 bucks) set the bar pretty high for the rest of our breakfast today– steaming, soft and fluffy, not too sweet, and the perfect size to share between 2 hungry people as a precursor to a full meal. And we were thrilled when we received our entrees within just a few minutes after the cinnamon roll; rarely has breakfast come out that quickly, especially when the restaurant is almost full! But we soon discovered the reason for the speed… The corned beef hash(Route 66) came out of a can(confirmed by our waitress) and was therefore irredeemable, despite attempts to gussy it up in a skillet with«oven roasted potatoes», two eggs sunny side up(unless you specify otherwise), a biscuit, and chopped parsley. Most of those various ingredients were probably just sitting under a heat lamp, with the eggsception of the eggs which we ordered scrambled, waiting for unsuspecting customers like ourselves. The biscuit was very fluffy if you like that sort of thing, but also quite bland. So… in short, not an entrée that would really merit 9.99. We also ordered the eggs benedict, which were fine, and reasonably priced at 9.79 with a side of grits rather that the potatoes. Grits were average, with a good balance between creamy and the“gritty” texture. I liked the Benedict but find that the hollandaise sauce was a wee bit too creamy for my liking. Probably won’t be back. As good as the cinnamon roll was, it won’t be enough to lure me back for a second chance. One cannot exist on merely cinnamon rolls!

Because this place is similar to a Denny’s or IHOP, they can salvage the extra star after a very poor experience on the 4th. I know it was a busy morning because of the Peachtree, but a 45 minute wait & an additional hour wait for someone in our party for breakfast food is insane. The server was nice & it truly was not her fault, but I have no idea what the kitchen was doing. The manager came out to apologize but had a hard time looking directly at us & being truly sincere. Nothing too great about the food; simple, easy breakfast food that is on par with items you could make at home. Honestly, there is no reason to come here for breakfast with Waffle House being cheaper &/or better brunch options everywhere else with farm to table ingredients for only a couple bucks more. Pass…

This place is usually crowded on weekends. But still a fair option for brunch in the neighborhood. Got the spinach and bacon skillet. It was good but could be sizzling out, not just warm. The taste of the sun dried tomato was too vinegary and was masking the other flavors. Service was good, and is better to enter trough the back door, where the hostess is located, otherwise you will have to cross the place between the tables.

After several attempts since this location opened, we will not be back. This location just really isn’t up to par with the others. The service has never been great, and the omelletes are terrible. I ordered the San Bernardino omelette last weekend at the Sandy Springs location; it was giant and full of ingredients. I ordered it here and it was probably the most pathetic omelette I have ever eaten– it was not even ¼ the size of the one last week. This is not an isolated incident however, as each time we have visited the food is disappointing. We will just drive the extra 15 – 20 mins to the Sandy Springs location, where we are never disappointed.

I’ve dined here a few times at this location since I live down the street from it, but have not frequented these past few years since it’s always so packed on the weekends and the service at this location varies a lot. I thought I’d dine here again this morning since we were up early at 10:30AM and was hoping to beat the crowd. We did beat the massive crowds of people, but the hosts forgot to seat us… which brings about this low rating, You enter through the back of the building to three hosts standing behind the host stand where they ask for how many people and take your name. He said immediately that he would seat us after he told the other host to grab more menus which she did within a minute. However, he forgot to seat us. He even sat two groups of people that came after us. The other hostess noticed us staring at them, but made no move to tell the head host about seating us. When we inquired about our table five minutes later, he asked for names and how many again… as if we didn’t just walk in five minutes ago. He responded with either wait for a table to open or result to sitting at the table next to the door and host stand. We just went ahead and chose that table since we saw how busy it was getting and we were in a rush. Just FYI, don’t sit at that table! The massive overflow of crowds that came in flowed into our dining area«bubble» and it was just so uncomfortable. They were so close that I can hear everyone’s conversation. The table too small for two people. I was so scared for someone to knock off our food from the table. The only thing that pretty much saved this review from getting a one star is our server was nice and patient with us as we were not too familiar with the menu. FOOD: I ordered the sausage and gravy skillet with jack cheese instead of cheddar cheese. I switched out my biscuit for an everything bagel. I also ordered a side of grits. My boyfriend decided that it was a bright idea to order a burger for breakfast. He ordered the club house burger with oven-roasted potatoes. My order came in a small skillet pan that contained oven-roasted potatoes, diced sausages, onions, peppers, shredded jack cheese all topped with two sunny-side up eggs. Be careful of not scratching over the metal of the skillet pan with your fork or spoon as it tastes like iron. YUCK! I think the skillet needed more oven-roasted potatoes. Luckily, my boyfriend had potatoes with his burger so I added more to my skillet with his portion. I also topped my skillet with hot sauce which gives it more of a kick. My favorite part of the meal was the grits. Grits were smooth and just heavenly. The everything bagel was pretty standard. I like that I have various kinds of jams to add to my bagel. I did not get a chance to taste my boyfriend’s club house burger, but he said it was pretty good and described it as a 6 out of 10. The club house burger came with a medium well beef patty, jack and cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and a sunny-side up egg. Overall, I would only dine here on a weekday when it’s not as busy and when I don’t feel like traveling too far for breakfast. TIPS/Quick Facts: — Make sure you park in the back of the restaurant since that’s where you enter into the restaurant. — Better not to take large crowds here especially on the weekends since it’s so packed. — Complimentary coffee located next to the host stand. — FREEWI-FI(no password needed)

Nuts and bolts: Went to breakfast during the workweek with some co-workers. Order: Plain pancakes. Pros: The place wasn’t that busy so we served very quickly. Pancakes were good. There is plenty of parking in the lot behind the building. Take home message: This location isn’t the most convenient for me so I don’t think I will be back. But I would encourage those that are nearby to come check it out!

I totally dig this colorful breakfast joint. Brookhaven is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the ATL area and we stopped in to try their menu for lunch. I ordered one of their skillets. While I’m not a fan of these at most restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised at my entrée choice that day. My spinach and bacon skillet had 2 sunnyside eggs with cubed potatoes, sun-dried potatoes, bacon, blue cheese and spinach. YUM! My boyfriend choose to keep it healthy with the Goddess omelet. The omelet was made with egg whites, diced tomatoes, spinach and feta cheese. The colored coffee mugs were a nice touch. The restaurant itself is colorful, bright and has a great positive atmosphere. I’m sure we’ll be returning there soon!
