Not the best park for a family. This is the park for the homeless. Just walk down two blocks and go to Woodruff park ! Ahhhh and see the thousands of flowers blooming plus they have a playground with many stores nearby

Hurt Park punches me in the stomach and knocks the breath out of me in springtime per the blazing red buds that bloom along its edge. While the homeless population tends to aggregate at Hurt Park, I’ve had pleasant lunchtime experiences here, although seating is admittedly limited. Still, I enjoyed recently meeting a dear friend here, scoring a cement bench, and chatting over salmon and cream cheese bagels.

Ahhhhh Hurt Park! Where homeless people hangout and mess with us Georgia State Univ. students! We have try multiple times to have functions at the park for the students, but when we do its invaded by undesirables. ATTENTION: College Students are 9 times out of 10BROKE! STOPASKINGUSFORMONEY!!! You know how much books cost??? Anyway back at the park, stay away people. I can’t tell you how many times I have been boob flashed(one I’m not gay and the boobs are flat and floppy so don’t want to see) and have been cat called(by ugly men) at this park(wish I didn’t have to go pass here, but I go to school here and I work down the street for the park). Atlanta, you can do better…

People are generally more friendly in the South than here in Chicago. My plethora of random conversations with locals had quickly made that evident. I still have yet to walk past a park in Chicago that has made me feel even the tiniest bit of discomfort. This place though, is truly exceptional. I would do my best to avoid this place at night.
