Hong Kong City

One word. MAGGOT.!! My manager treated the team to Chinese and once I got to the bottom of the container. I noticed a what I thought was a worm on my broccoli. We took the food back immediately and demanded our money back, to no avail the HEALTH DEPARTMENT was called and sent out that same day. Their health score is a 83B!!! BEWARE AND SEE THE PIC I TOOK OF IT!

I used to order delivery from here monthly and it was usually decent. However, after driving by it a few times a week I started to notice they consistently leave their front and back doors open. I gave them one more shot and it was disgusting. I’m not sure who keeps these people in business unless they are too stoned or drunk to drive at night. This place is a MUST avoid. Try Erawan which is close by and CLEAN.

The only thing I eat from here is the fried dumplings but after see the health score of an 83… might not be eating here anymore.

Quality fast food chinese. Huge portions, big eggrolls, no frills. I have eaten here 8 times and the food has been delicious every time.

Im not even sure if the sesame chicken was in fact real chicken. I got a really bad stomach ache and had crazy dreams all night! No thank you!

I went there and a rat was walking across the counter in broad day light. I got it on video, gross!!! Eat at your own risk

I ordered from here once and hated it l. a few months went by and I forgot how much I hated it and accidentally ordered again. let’s just say my entire pickup order of shrimp and rice went into the trash. Also asked for white rice and they gave me their weird curry powder version of fried rice.

Don’t waste your time or money! I’ve tried Hong Kong City a couple of times now have been sorely disappointed. The food is awful– questionable chicken, greasy to the point of being inedible egg rolls, tepid soup and the worst crab rangoons I have ever had. Even though this is the closest Chinese restaurant to my apartment, I will not eat here again. I’d rather go further away and possibly pay a bit more for food that actually tastes good!

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to be up an entire night with food poisoning. If food poisoning is what you desire, than this, My Friend, is the place for you.
My husband and I actually order from Hong Kong City often when we are lazy and do not want to cook dinner. I mean, think about it, Chinese delivery, is a lifesaver on many occasions. However, this particular night (Friday night) changed my opinion of this place for good. I ordered my usual — lemon chicken with steamed rice. I noticed that a few pieces did not seem as though they were cooked all the way through but then I figured that there was no way that our beloved Hong Kong City could under cook their food so I continued eating and looked forward to heating up my leftovers the next day. But, unfortunate circumstances often referred to as food poisoning woke me up at 3 o’clock in the morning with a sharp jolt of agony and I spent the better part of 3 hours hugging the porcelain god. Now, I am too terrified to even eat chicken at all and as for the leftovers that I was so looking forward to, they found their new home in the garbage.
I’m sure this was just a fluke mistake but this is an unacceptable mistake for a well-​established restaurant in this Sandy Springs community to be making.

JUNK FOOD CHINESE IS WHAT YOU WANT. You don’t want to pay PF Chang prices for General Tso’s or any of the other Americanized Chinese food dishes. You want to pay junk prices for junk-​food chinese and you don’t want to have to go far — or better yet, you want it delivered without paying Zifty.
Honestly, one of the best things about moving to Sandy Springs is that we now live 2 seconds away from Hong Kong City. A hole in the wall Chinese pickup/​delivery spot that makes it like it should be — cheap, plentiful and at proper takeout prices.
None of this $ 9 for orange chicken or any of the other Americanized Chinese food staples and extra for sides. The lunch specials are great (even though I don’t work close enough) but even dinner is pretty reasonable — and if you’re not a freakin glutton like I am — you will definitely have enough left over for lunch the next day. YES. It is the epitome of a perfect junk-​food Chinese takeout spot.
I missed having one of these nearby when we lived in Inman Park — sure there was Burger Win but that spot felt tooooo dirty (and we even LOVE streetfood), and then Chin Chin II had decent JFC but tried be ‘upscale’ and charged too much for cheap food.
