Love the vibe. Cool, independent designers– some local(yay!) great drinks! They make a mean iced mocha! They host different events and are always super friendly!

Coffee geeks, unite! The one word I’d use to describe the coffee situation here: Respect. The baristas I’ve met so far are truly passionate about coffee. In addition to stocking a regular supply of certain high quality beans, the manager puts«guest» beans into the rotation, too, specifically and carefully looking for delectable varieties that have yet to come to Georgia. So n00bs and regulars alike always have something to look forward to – nice! The parking here is metered on the street, which is a tad annoying for quick drive bys. But the interior space and personnel are so nice, why not stay a bit, saddle up by the window, and enjoy one of life’s simple pleasures?

My review is for the coffee shop inside this boutique, though I will say the clothes are unique & stylish(and, I will admit, out of my price range). This is hands down the best kept secret in Virginia Highland, if not the ATL. Amidst the espresso wasteland that is the stretch of Highland between Amsterdam & North(don’t even try to bring up that horrid place named after the city by the bay), this shop stands out for serving *excellent* espresso based drinks, on par with any of the specialty coffee bars around town. The beans rotate in and out, and Melissa, the manager of the coffee side of the house, tells me she does extensive research to constantly bring in beans that have not been available in Atlanta before. In addition to espresso they have pourovers and a selection of teas brewed to order. My brother had an iced macha tea and proclaimed it to be excellent. There’s a nice seating area by the window and even a few tables outside in a quiet little alcove. The interior is sleek and modern but welcoming. Parking is metered, on the street. I hope enough rich people continue to shop here to keep the coffee shop alive for the rest of us plebes :)

3.5 stars. I love the concept of this place, but it wasn’t a fit for me. I’ve had this place bookmarked ever since they had a scout mob and I like trying all sorts of coffee shops in Atlanta and surrounding areas. So I somehow convinced Justin to go to Virginia Highlands with me. Henry & June is a coffee shop in the middle of a small boutique store. I used my Unilocal deal to get the«Green Tease» drink which I didn’t like at all. It is a matcha-based drink with a spicy cinnamony after-taste syrup. I got it with almond milk and all three pieces just didn’t fit together. It was kind of expensive even with the Unilocal deal too($ 4.50). It might have been good with regular milk. I’m not sure. That’s ok though. The barista was really nice and it was fun to check out the store while I was waiting for my drink. They have some cool stuff. If I am in the highlands I would definitely bring a friend who likes to shop to check it out while I sit and try their coffee by the window. It seems like it would be a great people-watching spot.

Their coffee is awful! I’ve tried it twice. Both times were terrible. Never going back.

If you’re up in the highlands and need a pick me up, the coffee is wonderful. The Ethiopian coffee is low acid and absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, beautiful clothing and accessories to browse through while you wait. I live this place.

It’s not often that you go in an establishment that sells great coffee and fashionable clothes. This is indeed a unique establishment. While the clothes are more for the Taylor Swift wallet, the coffee is perfect for the average«Joe Doe». The Barista’s are super nice and the coffee is impeccable. All they need is whipped cream and an area to sit and relax and this will be the perfect atmosphere to enjoy. I really like their clothes and although my pocketbook is currently in a recession, I hope to shop there in the very near future. The material that’s used in their clothes is definitely quality and I really like that there’s something available for virtually every shape and size. So if you have the money, definitely give them a try. All in all, it’s a pretty cool spot that I can say provides a good experience.

After reading the review from Creative Loafing I thought I would check them out. It’s in my hood so I thought it could be a good coffee spot. I was pretty underwhelmed from the place. The coffee was good but not worth the money. Just because the coffee is exclusive doesn’t make it taste any better. The store it’s self is going for a boutique look but it’s pretty tight. Less section of sizes and a person to work the retail side and cater to the customer would allow for less merchandise on the floor for a better flow of the store. The product itself was nice but definitely over priced. Cotton t-shirts made in China do not warrant the price tag. All in all it seems to be just another highland Ave store offering the same ol stuff.

Excellent coffee! You must try it with their homemade flavoring/syrup, delicious. I give it 4 stars for the coffee. The clothing is interesting, unique, and some of it is pretty, but it is too expensive for my taste. I recommend getting a cup of coffee and browsing the store.

What an awesome place! Henry and June combines coffee and fashion into one great little shop in the Highlands. The coffee was yummy! I ordered an almond milk latte and drank it too fast to snap a picture of the sweet little heart in my foam. The barista was top notch. Aside from great coffee, the clothing and accessories at Henry and June are just beautiful. The best of best. Most of the brands were brands I had not heard of but I’m really not a fashionista by any means. I didn’t end up purchasing anything but coffee, but if my budget had no limits I would have. Great sunglasses, shirts, watches! Maybe I’ll make my Christmas list here! I highly recommend checking this place out while your strolling around Virginia Highlands.

Cute boutique store with an interesting concept of combining coffee and fashion. The Green Tease is good but a bit overpriced. However, it is in a prime location in Virginia Highlands. The clothes are hip and has a slight Bohemian feel to it. Quality looks great and the owners shop for the clothes around the US and world(like CA, and I think Denmark!). It looks like there are two stores since you walk outside to get into the one with the little coffee shop(and clothes) but they’re both under the same owner. Be sure to check both out and perhaps try a different coffee outside where there are different seating arrangements. If you park right outside the store, you’ll have to pay Monday through Saturday. $ 2/hr with 4 hour limit.

We(Dum Dum Girls) are major coffee connoisseurs and immediately search for the best coffee within walking distance of our venue/hotel around the world. Often, we base the decision purely on the number of Unilocal reviews, but during our recent trip to Atlanta, I noticed H+J had all the makings of a perfectly snobby(and that’s a compliment in our world) coffee spot, despite not having many likes. Based on a clean interior with high end clothing and great crema(as seen in some of the photos), we took a chance on this place. Daniel, the barista, engaged us in a highly entertaining discussion about the benefits of a snooty coffee establishment and we debated which is better– cappuccino or a macchiato. The Cortado was my favorite as it maintained the strength of a macchiato, but with more to savor. I desperately wanted so many of the clothes they had, but decided against it. The seating area outside– a breezeway between two buildings– comes complete with music curated by the barista and a ping pong table. We will definitely be back.

Excellent cappuccino in a retail space for women’s fashion, with a cool quiet breezeway to enjoy it. There’s a decent ping-pong table too.

Henry & June is a great little addition to the strip of biz you see on Highland Ave just into the Highlands. Amongst other restaurants and small shops, this cozy coffee bar has married the slick garb of coffee-o-philes under one roof. It’s a great idea and one that I have not seen done before. Where I can’t comment on any of the designs, the clothing is super nice. Cool hats, shoes, watches, cologne, candles, socks, dresses, etc. Really cool items from all over and some pretty cool displays for them, too. Definitely worth perusing if it’s your style. The coffee is fantastic. These guys may be the only coffee bar pulling shots out of a Synesso machine, which is wonderful. It’s gorgeous. The entire bar is pretty minimalist and really tidy. I really dig their design with this bar. They also happen to be the only bar I’ve seen in the Atlanta area to carry Cream(Nashville) coffee and also Four Barrel from San Francisco. You may see some similar varieties carried at a select few shops in the ATL area, but not exactly doing what these guys want to do. I’m really stoked to see these guys curating some great coffees that may be more intangible to the everyday consumer or coffee-lover outside of the US Mail. I grabbed a pour over of the Mexico from Crema and it was wonderful. Super dark and chocolatey. I’m really excited to come back through the winter to see which varieties they pull from other roasters.

I really enjoyed Henry and June’s. It’s a cool looking space, and the latte I had was perfectly executed. Henry and June themselves are very nice, and the coffee shop is a welcome addition to the Atlanta coffee shop scene.

I really like how they execute this store. It’s not something completely revolutionary for the neighbourhood but it’s how they execute it that makes this store really unique. They serve up Crema coffee in a variety of espresso drinks and they sell(OMG!) Mast Bros. chocolate. The coffee is mixed with some really awesome clothing in the back. Creatures of Comfort, Rachel Comey, and Henrik Vibskov are just a small portion of the designers they offer for women. They have mens too! Really awesome place and a new take on a fairly old tune. I definitely recommend checking out. **They offer ALMOND milk for their drinks.
