Groomed

If I could give this establishment a negative rating, believe me, I would. A prerequisite for being a barber requires that the barber know how to shape a beard in more than 1 way. If we all looked the same and had the same facial symmetry, then everyone would want the same style and the barber, would/​should be able to get it right each time. Clearly, that wasn’t the case when I visited Groomed.
My friend and I, both from out of town, needed to get lined up for a weekend of wedding festivities (for our friend). Obviously, we were planning to dress up for the various events so getting our beards done right was slightly a big deal. Well, Alex made sure that didn’t happen.
For my beard, I asked Alex to trim it down to a certain length. He left it longer than I wanted and I had to go to another place to get it trimmed. Secondly, he made the line on my chin, crooked. I had to go home and do some damage control but fortunately was able to fix that. My friends experience was exponentially worse than mine. He likes to keep his beard line fairly high on his cheek. I tend to go lower on mine. It all depends on your face (long face vs round face vs oval, etc). So when my friend asked Alex to keep the high line, what did Alex do? He gave my friend exactly the same style he gave me! It certainly was not what he asked for but it looked exactly like what I had asked for (refer back to my comment above about a barber being able to do different styles). Long story short, my friend had to go clean shaved to the wedding.
Conclusion: don’t get your beard done here. Can’t speak for the other barber here but Alex is one of the 2 and last I checked, 50% is still an F.

Best Barber I have been to flat out, Kevin has heaps of experience and you can tell loves his work nice guy and really nice crew there too, my prefered Groomers! in the US

I’ve been to different barbershops down here and just moving down here, it was important to find a place to go to and get a great cut. This place is definitely worth every penny. Great people. Great environment. Great work. I haven’t gone anywhere since!

Alex did an excellent job and is both professional and personable. Great place to get a haircut and get your beard tightened up. Check em out!

This is my spot and I won’t try any others. I have denied myself the pleasure of this shop for 7 months and I have learned my lesson … This shop treats me right, listens to what I want, they make me smile .
I will pass 10 barbershops on my way to this one and I won’t even blink…

Kevin is the best barber in the city, been going for over 10 years.

Kevin is a classy barber and as good as it gets for men’s barbers. I have gotten my hair cut from him since I first arrived in Atlanta. I appreciate how he studies my hair, personality, and really communicates how and why he will cut my hair. Customer service is great, parking is sometimes a bit crowded at times, but overall a very positive experience. He certainly is popular as it sometimes takes me 3 – 4 days advance notice to schedule an appointment with him, although I do believe he does accept walk ins which i think requires a wait. His popularity sometimes makes it tricky for me to get my hair cut, but hey, i can’t blame him for that. Check out his website for details.
4.7 stars in my book, and I hope his business continues to grow and flourish. Location is in the proximity of Taka Sushi off of Pharr Road.

Kevin is one of the best barbers in the country! He is a master stylist and what I like to call a hair artisan. He can cut and style any type of hair in a quiet, yet friendly environment. I won’t go to any other barber!
