Super nice brewery! I would have given it a five, but the server started off so slow and asked me more than once if I wanted to order food when I already had.

The only reason I am giving this resturaunt a 1 star is because of Caleb! He is terrible. I called in a phone order for my boss to be picked up, I ordered a side salad with dressing on the side. When my boss got there she was given a full house salad, difference in price and size. She kindly ask Caleb, who had given her the order if this was a side salad or a full? Caleb then with an attitude said«its what you ordered, a full salad», nicely she said«actually I ordered a side salad because I knew I wasn’t that hungry». Caleb then proceeded to tell her that is what was written on the ticket and that it wasn’t his fault. He then proceeded to stomp back to the kitchen to remake the salad and my boss said«its alright I will just take the full»(she was worried because he was upset that something might happen to her food) Caleb then slid her salad to her from the other end of the bar. Working in customer service we proceeded to call the manager and speak with him. He was very polite and apologetic about the situation. Unfortunately Caleb is there to ruin your experience with this great company. They have great food and a wonderful atmosphere, hence why we go here so often. Caleb is your bad egg and he needs to go or you will end up with customers straying from your restaurant because of him!

I came here with a group for a birthday and after finally getting our food an hour and a half after arriving because our server was very slow, all of the burgers we ordered were served on buttery toast bread… I ordered the exact same burger I had gotten the last time I came here because it was so good the first time, but the second I picked up the burger on this soft bread, I knew the bread wasn’t going to hold up. I resorted to a knife and fork and then realized the burger was totally over cooked and burnt. Apparently they were out of buns that night and didn’t feel the need to tell us not to order burgers. The server didn’t even speak when we told her the problem, but we weren’t charged for the burger. I also must say some people at the table were disappointed with the portion size of their meals. One person ordered the California tacos and they were appetizer sized! Tiny! The server should have warned the table about these things and offered solutions for us. But, I didn’t want to wait another hour for a new burger that would have no bun. A small side note is that I also ordered a side salad with my burger that I said could be brought out first. Not only was it not brought out first but I was the last person at the table to get my food. Then I asked where were my fries? The server said«you replaced them with the salad.» Just because I asked for a salad doesn’t mean I was replacing my fries with it. The server clearly didn’t care about her job at all and i should have told the manager about what happened, but I get the vibe they wouldn’t have cared just like the server didn’t.

Nice place, clean and big. The food was solid, but nothing really outstanding. The garlic fries were good, but didn’t really think those were«legendary» either. I would go back no problem, but wouldn’t make a special trip.

This place is terrible. The server was awful(seemed as if he just hated his job). He wasn’t attentive, NEVER checked back, NEVER gave us recommendations, NEVER cared. The food was bland. Everything tastes as if it gets popped into a microwave and popped out onto your plate. I had the broccoli and parmasean soup as a appetizer(tasted canned), and the Cajun Pasta as my entrée(bland). My friend had the wings which he hated, my other friend had the sliders which came with about 3 chips, and my other friend had a burger, which she said was ok. The drinks weren’t much better. I ordered a mojito, which I immediately sent back, and my friends had draft beers(what this place is known for, as they brew their own), and they were just«okay». We came here in hopes to watch Sunday football, have great beer, great bar food, and great service, but we were all highly disappointed. First and last time I will go here.

Was at this location Saturday night to watch a few games and grab a meal. It was crowded but not overloaded. For being so full the service was fast and efficient. Had a great burger and wedge salad that came quickly and was well prepared. Tried some of the brauts as well and they were really good. Good solid food and service.

The food isn’t bad here, but not anything spectacular. The«legendary» garlic fries are not good. But I still give it four stars because the beer makes up for the rest. There are so many choices; there’s something for everyone. I had their soup of the day — beer cheese. The waitress couldn’t really describe it and I can’t either. But it was quite good. Hearty and savory, definitely hit the spot.

This place is not really my cup of tea(I don’t even drink beer)…but everyone is right, those garlic fries are mind blowing. I don’t even eat fries anymore but I simply could not resist the smell, look, and taste of those bad boys. Maybe it is just because it a chain, with slow service and not the best sliders. But those garlic fries and heavy pours put me right at a solid 3 stars.

Visited Gordon Biersch on a Friday night around 10 pm. The first impression was not a good one as our group of 3 had to walk halfway through the restaurant and approach one of the waiters before being pointed toward a seat. It took about five minutes before a server even greeted us, but after that we were in good hands. There were not many patrons dining here, but the employees seemed busy. There was live music before we got there and a full bar. What surprised us the most were the four pool tables at the back of the restaurant(free before 4pm, $ 8 after 4pm). In this area there were also multiple televisions airing sports. My friend ordered one of the house brews and it looked good. I opted for the turkey burger and garlic fries, which turned out delicious. The burger had avocado slices that really sold the flavor. When we were leaving we noticed a few groups seated at the outdoor patio drinking and decided to sit there the next time we visited. Plus they are open late on weekends!

I actually like Gordon Biersch just enough to go like once a year LOL! And, I promise I’m not being funny here… the food and the atmosphere is good enough. Service can be slow, but I’ve never had a terrible experience. In fact, I do enjoy their Garlic Fries and always tell myself I’ll be back soon just for the fries! I think the challenge is that there are so many better restaurants in my opinion, which decreases my number of visits here. Most recently, I was at GB for a business lunch and it was pretty good honestly. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and nice looking. However, the weather was terrific and there is an open patio(with TV) that has decent seating, so we opted for the outdoors. There’s no view«per se», other than Peachtree Rd and the parking lot near Pier One and Marshalls. However, it was cool nonetheless. We started with the Fried Calamari and Blue Crab and Artichoke dip, which were both solid. Two of my colleagues ordered the Housemade Tacos and really enjoyed them. Another person had the Beef Tenderloin Salad and similarly liked his food. I went with the Seafood Cobb Salad(without the bacon), which comes with Lump Crab and Shrimp. You can choose from homemade dressings and I ordered a side of Ranch and Balsamic Vinaigrette. I enjoyed it :-). But, I won’t lie to myself and say I’ll be back soon because it will probably be 2016 when I roll up again. Happy eating!!!

Good american food fast. I’ve been here for a few times and the food and drinks have usually been spot on. Staff has always been friendly and never let your drink reach the bottom of your glass. I’ve never seen this place super busy or full so if you want to kick back relax and talk to the people your with this just might be your spot.

We had the burger, the margarita pizza, and the triple chocolate brownie. It was all delicious! We hate brewery’s food usually, but this place was GOOD! The waiter was very friendly and the prices were good! We will return next time we’re in ATL.

I didn’t catch any of the food. I mean no one was throwing it either, thus making that difficult. I wish I had tried the food, it’s looked and smelled delicious. I did get a full experience at the bar however. The bartenders are very kind and offer some southern hospitality. They were knowledgeable and provided lots of knowledge about some local breweries I wanted to taste. The beer section is huge, maybe the largest on my trip in Atlanta. This spot stood out in Buckhead. It wasn’t pretentious, had a chill vibe, and welcomed people with open arms. Good stuff.

I think we went on the right day and the right time. Usually I would give this place 3 stars, but today, 4 stars. Food was perfect! Fast, hot and delicious! Great server, no complaints.

I came here on a Friday after work for Happy Hour. I was kinda bummed when I learned they have drink specials every day except Friday… isn’t that when you need it the most LOL? If you sit in the bar area they do have a Happy Hour Food menu, so that’s good. The Happy Hour menu is available 4−7pm and 10pm to close. We tried the bratwurst sliders, Marzen glazed wings, and the Pecan crusted Chicken and pear. The bratwurst slider was good – but only one comes with it. So, if you are sharing it as an appetizer be aware of that. The Marzen glazed wings were also good. The sauce is kind of like a chili sauce or bbq with a slight kick. They are also marinated with Marzen Beer. The chicken was okay… I didn’t taste any pear. They have a brewery. So if you’re a beer drinker you can check out some of those. I ordered the Sidecar to drink. It was made well. Drinks are $ 9−11…kinda normal for Buckhead. I’ve seen a lot of private parties here. They have two sections that are perfect for small events/gatherings. Parking is free. You can park in the garage next door, just make sure to park in a retail space and not one that says Hyatt guest. Also, if that’s full you can park in the lot across the street. Not the main Marshall’s lot but the second smaller one.

Perfectly fine, if unexciting food. The service was earnest. The menu is so long that you know it comes out of the corporate kitchen lab somewhere and that the restaurant cooks(not a chef on site) have precise instructions to be followed. I suspect GB is a better place for drinks, munchies and small plates than for a meal. In short GB was fine for a business lunch, but I don’t think I’d go there for dinner. Note: I’m using my newly developed Unilocal-o-meter. Three stars means the food is as good as the buffet at a Whole Foods. In Unilocal-speak that means A-OK.

It was a lazy Friday afternoon so my friend decided we should go to the restaurant I celebrated my 21st birthday at so he could buy me lunch for my birthday this year. Parking is free in the lot across the street(not exactly sure if it’s allowed or if we could get booted if caught…). The restaurant entrance has revolving doors, which is so classy and hotel-like. I’ve had quite a few networking events here as well, and Gordon Biersch does a very good job hosting the events, providing sophisticated and delicious dining and some delicious beers and wines. We waited at the host booth around 12:30 pm for a good 5 minutes before a hostess appeared(bathroom break?). She seated us immediately after she returned in a dark booth where most people were already dining. We each ordered .25L of beer(only $ 3.75). I wanted to try to the winter bock, but went with my classic favorite, Hefeweizen. This restaurant was where I tried my first beer, and to think my taste buds have changed so much. The beer was heavy handed on the taste of banana and cloves, but I loved it. The pour amount was just right for lunch. I ordered a Marzen BBQ Burger that came with a side of garlic fries. They brought me the wrong burger(I believe it was the California Burger), which in hindsight, looked tastier than the Marzen BBQ Burger they brought out later, which also happened to be missing the bacon that was promised in the menu. I decided not to make a fuss, since I was hungry and getting buzzed from drinking beer on an empty stomach. Our server kept apologizing and brought us a complimentary bowl of the soup of the day(Vegan Chili) which I found to be quite good, you could barely tell that it was vegan and had a nice kick to it. Overall, the service was better than the food, not that the food was bad. I’m not sure the next time I will come back, but there is definitely some killer garlic fries and cheap and deliciously in-house brewed beer.

There are two Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants in Atlanta and they’re both on Peachtree. The Midtown location is on Peachstreet Street, a few blocks from the Fox, and the Buckhead location is on Peachtree Road near the big intersection with Piedmont. This review is for the Buckhead location. On Peachtree Road, Gordon Biersch Buckhead is located behind Fidelity Investments and the O5 Peachtree apartment highrise. Businesses in the adjacent shopping center include Pier 1, Marshalls, and LA Fitness. Free parking is available inside the attached parking garage found to the right of Gordon Biersch’s storefront. After hours, additional parking is available in Fidelity’s spaces. I first visited this brewery back when it was Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. In 2009, Gordon Biersch, who owns the Rock Bottom brand, closed Rock Bottom. The space was renovated and reopened the same year as Atlanta’s second Gordon Biersch location. Five-plus years after re-opening, the renovated brewery and restaurant still look great. The restaurant is spacious and classy with tall, cavernous ceilings. There’s a long bar with TVs galore. Running alongside the bar are sets of bar-height communal tables followed by a row of booths, making this an ideal place for groups to meet up for drinks, food, and to catch a game. The patio is nice with an outdoor stone fireplace and umbrella-covered tables. The on-site brewery contains over 2,000 gallons of fresh beer. The giant metal fermenters are visible inside the restaurant. I’ve been to both Gordon Biersch brewery-restaurants in town and have found the food to generally be mediocre — not surprising considering this is a chain restaurant. The business has some of that uniform, sterile, chain look and feel and the menu isn’t terribly exciting(though this is a brewpub). Typical American fare is what’s served and that includes burgers, fries, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, steak, tacos, chicken, pasta, and seafood at roughly $ 15 – 25 per entrée. I recently visited for a holiday party. Coincidentally, I’ve also been to a company summer party at Gordon Biersch in Midtown. The holiday party was on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed with customers. The staff did a great job invisibly cordoning off our section from the rest of the restaurant. We had the entire back side of the restaurant to ourselves which included a handful of pool tables, another set of TVs, and several long tables, some with comfy booth seating. In addition, there’s an extra private room in the back. There was a smaller private function being held in this room at the same time as the party I attended. For our party, a modestly sized self-serve buffet was set up. There were light bites, but they were easy to fill up on as the plates of food were replenished with some regularity. The spread included: * Pita bread with hummus, olive tapenade & tomato spread * Arugula salad * Assorted cheese & fruit plate(pineapple, cantaloupe, strawberries, honeydew) * Shrimp with cocktail sauce * Smoked salmon with cream cheese on slices of baguette * Teriyaki chicken skewers * Pecan-crusted chicken & pear sliders * Margherita flatbread — mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, basil * Goat cheese & artichoke flatbread — artichoke hearts, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, goat cheese crumbles * California Cobb flatbread — grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, tomato, bleu & cheddar cheeses, baby greens tossed in balsamic vinaigrette The food wasn’t bad, though it did suffer from«quantity over quality.» It was generic, mass-produced, catered food. I think the thin flatbreads were the most popular items. I also enjoyed the pita and spreads as well as the smoked salmon. I was mildly disappointed Gordon Biersch’s popular garlic fries weren’t on the buffet menu. However, I did like the brewery’s housemade root beer. If you order one, don’t let it sit for too long or the syrup will separate from the carbonated water. Service could have better. When we arrived, a server immediately greeted us and filled our drink orders. After that, we had trouble finding servers multiple times throughout the night. We weren’t sure which servers were assigned to our party. One server almost completely disappeared. Also, in some instances, it took quite a while for items on the buffet to be restocked. In the end, I had a swell time. Gordon Biersch certainly has the space to accommodate large parties and small private functions.

I didn’t expect the food to be all that great, but it was surprisingly tasty. The burgers are juicy, the fries are delicious, and for the most part the beer was good(particularly the seasonal). There’s a good size menu with a lot of options, and in our group of four, no one was disappointed in anything.

I would like to open up by saying this should really be three and a half stars but that’s not a possibility. We came by just to have a few beers and an appetizer On the way to dinner. Our intention wasn’t to stay long at all. Our waiter came by quickly and ordered our drinks. Ten minutes later we still had nothing and he explained it was because it was shift change and the waiter taking over was late. He said we would wait another five minutes and if waiter didn’t come by he would bring out our drinks order. The waiter serving us was a very gracious and funny guy but seriously, how is it the patrons problem if a waiter is late or not? Totally weird. Anyway our drinks came and they were tasty but week. We tried the beer sampler too which was great and some sliders, also good. Nothing memorable except maybe for some older men in a corner smoking cigars and popping bottles of champagne. Totally ridiculous and amusing at once. Cheers!
