Service is ok. We had the rotisserie chicken it was tender and dry. The collar greens were extremely salty. Salad was nice and fresh. Mash potatoes from a box. French fries tasted like fried shrimp.

I was skeptical because of the reviews but decided to give it a try. I decided to order the peach salad. it was very good and fresh. we also ordered the peach wings those were good too. don’t bother with the mac and cheese or the collard greens. service was awesome!

I have to say I expected more from one of the few restaurants located at the heart of one of the most famous places in all of Atlanta. After reading my fellow Unilocalers reviews as well as the menu on the outside the group I was with decided to give this place a try. The chicken sandwich I ordered was a bit of a disappointment to say the least. It was plain, had nothing extra or distinguishing about it. Just a grilled chicken breast w/lite peach bbq sauce, all on a bun with lettuce and tomato(see pics). In the sake of full disclosure, my dad ordered a salad and loved it. He explained that everything tasted fresh and that the portions were generous. My gf ordered the veggie plate with collards, mac-n-cheese and green beans. She was a bit disappointed in the collards they needed a bit more seasoning. She enjoyed the mac-n-cheese(as did I) and said the green beans were great! SO perhaps I am the only one that didn’t really enjoy his/her meal. But hey, they’re NOT writing the review, I AM… The service was excellent. We went on a Saturday afternoon in late March. Georgia Peach had a few people sitting at the bar and one other table of patrons. The rating says it all, «Meh, I’ve experienced better» especially in a splendid and diverse city such as HOTLANTA.

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. Not what I expected. Love the environment. If you like soul food this is the place to go. Macaroni & cheese needs some help. The collards are to die for. Shrimp are very tasty. Corn bread. Excellent. I highly recommend.

Wait staff was not good at all. It took a while for our food to come. The chicken was dry and way over cooked. Needs a thorough cleaning. Will not be back!

I went here to get some traditional southern comfort food and that’s what I got. Southern Comfort describes this place perfectly. I felt so at home here. The bartender was rad and made a drink for us called«swamp water». It’s dangerous cause it’s sweet. I had to have something southern so I order shrimp and grits and it was soo delicious. I definately think you should give it a try. It’s so good and they have great staff!

Georgia Peach opened in 2011 and is located on the bottom level of the Underground(near the Kenny Alley area). Even in the short time they’ve opened, they’ve made improvements — so I’m giving them 4 stars for now. First time there, the server was half-clueless, but I give them the benefit of the doubt because she(and the place) were both new, plus service last week was much better. They offer really decently-priced lunch specials, plus a regular menu that’s pretty good. It’s full-blown Southern favorites(don’t expect too many overly-healthy options!) and they have happy hour specials on drinks and a brunch menu.(Note: The Underground is usually NOT busy on weekends, so if you’re looking for a quiet spot, you should find it then.) I’ve had the fried green tomatoes(okay, not the best I’ve ever had), fried okra(really good!), mac’n’cheese(not as cheesy as I would’ve imagined), wings(not bad), catfish bites(tasty), and the BBQ chicken sandwich(I like the peach BBQ sauce a lot!). Since I work near the Capitol, it’s really convenient and they can get you in and out in about an hour. I love that they are always playing blues or jazz music, and would be interested to check out some of the live stuff sometime.
