This little café sits on the west end of Centennial Olympic Park, just next to the fountains, as the name suggests. I ride by this place all the time, but haven’t before had the opportunity to stop. But today, I was looking for somewhere to hang out and enjoy some necessarily warming weather. I decided to give this place a shot. There are a lot of tables with umbrellas, plenty of folks moving around, and a number of pretty reasonably priced items in the café. The food, I mean snacks at Fountainside are very similar to what you would find at a movie theater, but at about ½ the price: Jumbo pretzels $ 2; Large cookies $ 2; Cup of chili $ 3; Starbucks coffee $ 2; cappuccino $ 2. No fractions in the price and no added tax since this is a government run entity. Overall, if you find yourself wanting a little outdoor relaxation in the middle of downtown on a nice day. Head over to Fountainside. If you are inclined, grab your ‘puter because there is free and fast WiFi. Also, since this is part of the park, you don’t have to purchase grub if you would rather just hang back and enjoy the park, WiFii, and sun. They also have beer and wine for $ 5. The selection ain’t great, but the option remains.
