Fabricate is a GREAT place! I live in a small apartment and don’t have dedicated sewing space. When I found out about Fabricate I jumped at the idea of places to set up sewing things and spread out, and once I joined it was icing on the cake to have really awesome people to sew with! Input on projects and crafty friends cannot be beat, and there’s room for many folks at once to spread out with projects. If you’re looking for lessons this is a great place! Theresa is calm and fun and professional with her students and Diana is really great at showing her students all that they are capable of without pushing too far. I have taken a couple of the classes offered and have really enjoyed the teachers and how clearly they can explain the tasks at hand. The bag classes are great, and the pants class was sooo much fun! Be sure to check out the craft night the second Thursday of every month… It’s a really great way to meet instructors and see the space. Plus snacks??! Score!

I took the Sewing 101 class in January 2014 and have been sewing and taking classes ever since! I love the studio — it’s the perfect spot to spread out and work. The instructors are fantastic and very patient. I’ve met a lot of great people through Fabricate and highly recommend it for the beginner trying to learn to use a sewing machine and for an advanced sewer who is just looking to try something new. I’ve also taken private lessons and a small group class where we picked our project. Both were great experiences.

I found Fabricate Studios through Kimberly and The Homestead. After one long morning class, I ended up with not only a fab totebag, but a renewed enthusiasm for sewing. Before that, I had reached a point on my crafting path where I considered getting rid of my sewing machine and all of my supplies. The space is clean and organized. The class was the right size for any personal attention students might need, and it was good for complete beginners as well as intermediate ones. Theresa is a fantastic teacher: She is wise, patient, funny and professional. I am so glad I met her and took the class. Cheers–

This is a wonderful gem the heart of the city. I took a class to make an awesome day of the dead /Halloween wreath and lemmie tell ya, this ain’t your granny’s crafting. Fabricate Studios has a ton of different hip craft classes and lots of friendly and –thankfully-patient staff. It’s a laid back atmosphere that gives you a feeling of acceptance, even when your hand embroidery sucks. You can learn how to do basics or advance what you already know-the classes and crafts are so varied!

What a lovely, friendly, cool place to learn to sew, craft and more! Whether you are looking for adult or kid classes, fabricate has it all. I’ve taken the most classes with teacher & one of the owners, Diana, who makes the most complex patterns and sewing tasks simple and straightforward — and fun. The other owner, Theresa, is also great. My 8yo son took private lessons with Kerrie and loved it. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the teachers. They are so flexible, helpful and willing to work with you. Finally, I need to mention the cool factor. This ain’t your Granny’s sewing shop, although she is welcome b/c she would have a ball. It’s fun, sweet, irreverent, and you will walk away from each class with some new mad skillz. Love it!

This is my new favorite place for sewing, crafting and just hanging out! The owners are totally gifted and patient enough to teach me!
