I have been going to Extra Nails for the past four years and I absolutely love this place and the people that work there. They always make me feel welcome and ensure that I’m 100% satisfied with the services I receive. I highly recommend Extra Nails!!!

I went to this place because it was near my job(it’s not the place I normally go to which does a great job every time). Worst mistake ever! I went for a gel manicure. First off the lady didn’t soak off the old polish long enough and was scrapping my nails aggressively. I felt like grabbing the tool from her and showing her how to do it correctly(I have removed gel polish at home with no issues or damage to my nail bed). I had to tell her that I wasn’t in a rush that she should let them soak longer so that she doesn’t cause damage to my nail. There were only 3 other people doing their nails so I didn’t know what the Rush was. She also started to file my nail down to remove the polish which is unnecessary if nails are soaked correctly. I took a deep breath and told my self that maybe the manicure and polish will be better. I’m not sure if I’m just old fashioned but at the other places I go to, they usually soak your nails in water and solution or cuticle softener. At this place they put cuticle softener on your nails, then your hand in some sort of sandwich bag then place your hands in some sort of heating pad. This wasn’t all that bad since it did the job of softening my cuticles but I found it quite odd. I was surprised that she didn’t apply a cleaner or primer to my nails she just went straight on to applying base coat, 2 coats of polish and top coat. She then wiped of the tacky layer with acetone. My biggest problem was that she got polish near my cuticles/skin and didn’t bother to clean it up before curing. Her solution was to file the sides and edges of my nails after the polish was dried and cured! Anyone with common sense knows not to file nails after they’ve been painted because the polish will not last. Anyways I’m so disappointed that all I wanted was for this manicure from hell to be over. I didn’t feel like telling them fix it since they do a horrible job in the first place. They just won’t get my business. The worst part is that the owner did my nails.

Not a fan of the customer service, I get a mani pedi bi weekly sometimes when I’m stuck in traffic I’ll stop anywhere and try them out. This was my second and last time going there. Nails came out ok but the customer service wasn’t great by any means . Still curious as to why some people are asked to pay before they are polished and some aren’t. Nevertheless I won’t be going again to find out.

I will never go to this place again. I walked in for a simple pedicure. It took three different people another hour to try and fix the horrible job the 1st guy did. I paid for the service but I did not tip(I wasn’t happy so I didn’t tip). A few days later I checked my bank statement and saw that they added a tip to my receipt!!! Who does that!!!

So I went here for the first time expecting a good experience. Got gel manicure and regular pedicure $ 42. After they were done with my manicure, they didn’t shape my nails which I thought was weird but it was my first time ever getting gel so I didn’t know how that was suppose to go. A lady had did my pedi and it was wonderful. The guy that had did my mani told me the color of the gel Polish was going to be different from my pedi and I didn’t mind. Then when I saw the color on my hands on my nails, I commented to him that I really liked the color of the gel polish so he offered to look for a polish even more close enough to the gel polish and I accepted. After he was done and My nails got dried, hours later I realized that the polish on one of my toes was messed up and practically my right foot was messed up. You could tell that there was a layer on top of the other and it looked tacky so I went back to supposedly get it fixed and it still looked the same. He didn’t do it over completely, just put nail polish remover on the tip of his finger. Then 4 days later of my mani-pedi I put some closed shoes on and all of the nail polish is smeared. Poor quality. They didn’t do a refund. Just offered to fix, I didn’t accept cause it would’ve happened again. Manager/owner didn’t apologize. Never again coming to this place! Don’t recommend it!

I went there today for the first time intending to just get a pedicure. I ended up doing a mani/pedi(not gel, just regular) for $ 28. They did a really nice pedi and the polish was done well. Pedi included leg exfoliating scrub and lotion as well as a massage. They did a good job of keeping the place clean too. I asked the lady how much for a gel mani/pedi and I think she said it was around $ 60 which isn’t bad for both. Not sure if the prices will go up as we get closer to summer. The kid that did my pedi(I say kid because he looked like a young man, the owner’s son maybe??) was very nice and took his time to make sure it was done well. Probably the best thing about my experience today was that they let me sit and dry my nails for a long time. Maybe this was because they were about to close, but they were not rushing me out the door. I never get manis that aren’t gel just because they chip immediately. Because I was able to dry my nails for a while — a good 20 mins I would say — the mani came out well and has not chipped at all, so I don’t feel like I wasted my $ getting the mani done tonight. I will definitely return here in the future.

Love love love! I called to check the prices, and immediately I was asked if I wanted an appointment to reserve my spot. I really liked that. When I came in, there was only one other woman, which was nice on a Saturday evening. I went right to the pedicure station and received one of the best pedis ever. Charles did a fantastic job! He also did my gel nails without me even having to get up from the pedicure chair. I liked this also. Very nice people and very professional. I do believe I’ve found my new nail salon in the A :-)

I used to live in Doraville(3+ years) and this was my go-to nail place. It’s located in a strip mall behind McDonald’s. It’s nothing upscale but more a cozy, casual place. I still try to go here when I’m in the area. The ladies are super sweet and do a gr8 job on the pedicures. They also do eyebrows here, both waxing and threading. Wendy does the threading here so you need to request her if you want threading vs. waxing. She was the first person who has ever threaded my eyebrows and she does a phenomenal job. My normal routine was to have a mani/pedi and lunch or dinner at Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich next door. This is a relaxing and satisfying combination I highly recommend!

My eyebrows were fubar because it was waxed too thinly by someone who shall not be named. I had to wait an agonizing month for some of my eyebrow hair to fully grow back so that the brows could be re-shaped. I hadn’t had bushy eyebrows like that since middle school. It was so bad, a girl friend took a look at it and felt compelled to check her brows. I had it cleaned once by another salon in midtown. She tried her best to clean it, but i ended up looking like Milhouse from the Simpsons’. Last week, I went to extra nails arbitrarily. The shopping center was kind of barren so I didn’t expect it to be busy in the nail salon. They were actually quite busy. After I came in, three more customers arrived. I had to wait ten minutes until someone could wax my brows. Maybe she saw the mess I had and pitied me but she really took her time to fix it. She was thorough with the waxing and took care to trim some areas and tweeze some outliers, lol. I really appreciated it. Eyebrow waxing costs 8 dollars, btw, which is standard for these types salons. Other than my sister, who also is an aesthetician at home, one else takes care of my brows like that. The salon itself looks like it’s been established for some time. The space is quite small and I did not get my eyebrows waxed in a private room. So I am not sure if they do waxing for The nether regions. It’s just a typical, chill nail salon. It’s nothing upscale. However, they seemed friendly enough and did a good job on my brows.

After moving very close to this salon, I decided to give it a try. I really like Mary, the owner, to do my pink and white. She is very good and she is also very funny. Kevin, is also good at doing nails and very fast. There is another young lady there, Wendy, who seems to be very popular with nails. For pedicures there is an older lady who usually has a lot of requests. All summer long, due to time restraints, I took whomever to do my pedicures. They have a million colors to choose from and they are not too knowledgeable of nail art(if thats what your looking for)!
