Love this bar! I kid you not, I’ve noticed the food gets better and better each time I go. Only had one bad experience but staff was gracious enough to fix it and they almost always go above and beyond. It’s right down the road from where I work so it’s a frequent hang out for my coworkers and food service people too. It’s a great dive bar with great pizzas and wings and trust me the drink selection is as good as other bars in the area but for a fraction of the cost. Why are you still reading this? Go get yourself a beer and sit with Karen at the bar!

This place isn’t as upscale as some of the other Buckhead establishments and I still can’t believe that they still allow smoking in public here in Atlanta… But we came here on a mission, to try the Hail Mary. It was awesome. If you’re on a Bloody Mary pilgrimage, be sure to check this place out, otherwise you can probably skip it in favor of all the other options in the area. Full bloody mary review at .

We found out about this place because of the Run for Brews meetup. It’s a solid(albeit smokey) bar with a nice patio. As others have mentioned, the stromboli is awesomeeeeee. So yummy, good bread: meat ratio, perfectly cooked. My boyfriend and I also got Hail Mary’s the first time we ate there, which are the bloody mary’s with all the food in them. I think they’re something like $ 14, but definitely worth it. You even get a little yummy piece of the aforementioned delicious stromboli. They have a good deal where you can get 5 beers and a large pizza for $ 20/$ 25(you can pay more for«premium» beers and more toppings.) We got that the first time, but I’m not sure I’ll ever not get the stromboli now. That being said, the beer selection is pretty average and not as cheap as I’d think based on the bar-y ness of the place. Let me reinforce that the place is super smoky. I don’t smoke and don’t really care for it, but once you’re sitting in there for a while you kind of get use to it.

Best bar ever, a nice break from the snobby Buckhead bar. Stromboli is to die for, and bartenders are awesome!

Stopped in for lunch and the Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary was good, but everything else was terrible. The Mary was made with typical mix but the fillings made it special(Stromboli in particular). One minor complaint-the drink was missing some of the advertised fillings,(bacon, lime, and celery). It took about 30 – 45 minutes to get our first drink. I expect the Bloody Mary to take some extra time but this seemed a bit excessive. The waitress did not stop back by to take our orders for another 30 minutes, and took an excessive amount of time after each expected visit. We would have easily had several drinks, but it simply wasn’t possible with nearly non-existent service. We ordered the nachos, and the waitress sneaked in «you want chicken or pork as the topping?» Phrasing in a way that seemed like it was included. Again, not a huge deal as I’m the type to get added meat anyways, but it seemed a little sneaky. The nachos were nothing to write home about, arrive cold and soggy and skimpy on the cheese(used that super cheap nacho liquid cheese, not sure why they would be skimpy on this??). Friend ordered the wings, they were dry with not much meat on them. The rest of our party had a laundry list of other issues, mostly with rudeness and lack of service from the waitress. She did not screw up any orders, she may have simply been over worked with too many tables, but this reflects poor planning on the restaurants part… Not worthy of more than 1 star imho. Hire more staff and parties like us would have spent 3x as much and you could have turned your tables faster. When servers only cost a couple bucks per hour, not sure why they wouldn’t have enough to take care of all of their customers.

The Elbow Room will soon hold the title for the Best Burger in Atlanta. maybe the southeast! Incredible 12oz Black Angus Short Rib/Chuck blend is unlike any other in town! Great meal and awesome service! Will definitely be back soon.

This place is so smoky. Walked in and walked out. Probably a better experience outside but I’ll try it out next summer.

I’ve been going to the Elbow Room Bar for quite sometime for lunch. I never been there for dinner, during happy hour, or any other«bar appropriate» times. So this review will be for lunch only. Elbow Room Bar is tucked away between Buckhead Ave and Pharr Rd. You can see it much clearer on Pharr. It looks pretty divey compared to the other Buckhead establishments around the area. They have one thing going for them: they are cheap. You can get a decent lunch for about $ 8 – 9. They have an extensive menu providing typical bar foods from pizza, wings, strombolis and burgers. They are all decent and a good value. I like the stromboli lunch special where you can get a huge stromboli, a side salad, and a soft drink for like $ 8 or something. The stromboli is baked well and it has gooey mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, and pepperoni inside. Their side salad isn’t too bad either. The staff is friendly and cool. The inside is small and cramped though. They do have a patio outside if you prefer to sit there. One thing I do not like about this place is that smoking is allowed since it’s a bar. So for lunch you’re sharing the space with smokers.

We stopped by on Sunday for pizza, we knew the place was good, and it proved to be consistent. We had the patio to ourselves, ordered garlic cheese sticks and a small pizza each. The cheese sticks had little blocks of Parmesan under the mozzarella, so yum! The pizzas were as good as we remembered, amazing crust and fresh toppings, we don’t know how they do it! Don’t expect too much in terms of ambiance, we always sit outside, but you’ll be more than happy with the food!

I only order takeout from here because smoking is still allowed. But I get the stromboli every time. It is the best you can get to NY/Detroit style pizza and Italian that I have found in Atlanta.

It’s a bar, what all would you like to know? lol They have bar food which is pretty good I might say. Their fried mushrooms were the bomb! Wings could use some work. Staff…well… you have some great one’s and some that don’t really want to be there? They’re bar waitress’ — they need to make sure they can hold their own. Only been a few times and it can get crowded but their patio’s outside are awesome. Plenty of room to a table and you don’t get forgotten about. Drinks — good. Nothing super amazing. So basically from my review folks… eh! Not terrible, not amazing. Just a good ol hang out joint with some friends and family.

Definitely not a place I’d choose for for pizza. Place you might want to go to hang out and meet somebody.

I love this place. The pizza is so bomb and definitely get a side of ranch. Their ranch is on a different level. They also have the best mozarella sticks! I’ve had a quesadilla here as well and it was good too. Bloody Mary’s are on point as well. The vibe is just a motley crew of people but I love it. Keep doing you Elbow Room.

The closest Atlanta can get to N.Y. style pizza bar none. And I dare you to tell me otherwise. The pizza at this small tucked away smoke filled bar has left me jonsen after moving across town as I recently rediscovered the joy of wasting a sunday afternoon away in a football blinder. I ordered my usual 2 slices and pint of harp as the bartender was very attentive even on a busy sunday taking the time to remember and call everyone by name making you feel welcome even as I was being stuffed into the corner end of the bar fighting for my own sense of «elbow room». My heaven on a slice promptly arrived and to my delight nothing had changed in the recipe at all. From the crust sauce and toppings this is the REAL N.Y. street corner style right down here in Atlanta. Many here have searched far and wide from ITP to OTP for this pizza and its here at Elbow Room! There is a thick cig smoke hanging but I believe that only adds the ambiance, if you can’t handle that oh well more bar stools for me. The patrons here are a big mix too, no buckhead snootyness at all! The barkeeps are easy on the eyes and the pint glasses are always filled.

Elbow Room is a slice of authenticity in an otherwise contrived or showy Buckhead environment. It is a smokey bar. I often will have to consider wardrobe, or have wardrobe change ready when coming here. That said, the smokey nature of it adds to its character. It is a very casual place and I am often over dressed even in a secondary outfit. I have heard that the owner is originally from New York, the vibe including the bartenders with their bit f*ck-all attitude tends to give off that vibe. That said, even with some fun attitude, the service is really good. I like that the space is a long bar, has booths for dining, like 20 TVs, most all the channels, and amazing Pizza. This is some of the best«Bar» pizza I have ever had. it is a New York style, thin and crisp. The Italian sausage and the sauce have a nice zing to it. Their ongoing deal of the past two years has been a large pie with 5 domestic beers for $ 25.00. Add on a few toppings, and you are still South of $ 30.00 before tip and tax. So that is a pretty sweet deal for two thirsty and hungry revelers. With so many chains, restaurant groups, and lounges it is a nice to still have a spot of divey authenticity in Buckhead.

The customer service was excellent the staff is friendly and the food came fast. Inside was too Smokey for me so we set outside. On the other hand the food is terrible I got the mushroom Swiss burger with a turkey patty. The patty was ridiculously oversized not sure why and they used canned mushrooms which downgrades any quality meal. The handcut fries were average at best. Everyone at the bar seemed to be having a good time so next time I will come for the drinks only.

Cool bar, I’ve been frequenting this place since Lauren was a bartender… haven’t been back in a while but I love Kim Long!!! Go for drink specials, good music and kick ass bartenders. Haven’t tried the food but I hear it’s very good. Parking is limited and if there is an event or holiday it’s pretty hellacious to find a spot. But you can always park across the street from the entrance or down the road and walk. Check it out!!!

I decided to drip in one afternoon and boy oh boy… I did not know I was setting myself up for such a treat. I had intentions to get a pizza however, after the waitress suggested her favorite the Stromboli. After my order came out… folks behind me were inquiring what I ordered… one guy actually came to me and asked me what was it I ordered cause it was smelled so good. Needles to say 2 people from their table ordered a Stromboli. It was the best Italian food I have in Atlanta thus far. Cant wait to be in the area again so, I may revisit.
