We have been coming to Edwards for a few years now and wish I would have found them before we spent money at another local pipe store. This is the place for tobacco, pipes and cigars. Craig is extremely knowledgle about pipes and tobacco and is willing to answer your questions. We’ve purchased a few really nice pipes here and will purchase more. We also purchased our wedding cigars here and am so happy I did. Once again, Craig steered us in the right direction.

Great place to go. Note since they moved, the Unilocal phone number above is wrong. It should be(404) 531‑9732. Also, they are open until 7PM on weekdays, not sure how late on weekends.

Edwards is by far the most reasonably priced cigar shop in Buckhead. The clientele is older, but it’s a cigar shop. That’s sort of how they roll. The selection is very good, and as I mentioned, the prices rock. The prices are a little weird though, for some reason all of the prices end in uneven amounts of cents. I picked up an Oliva Serie G and I think it was $ 4.81. That struck me as strange but hats off to them. Maybe it’s weird to have everything else ending in .99 I would give it 5 stars if they had a more inviting atmosphere. Also serving beer and wine would be a huge plus.

3 ½ Stars Note: This store is moving to somewhere near Wieuca Rd on Roswell Rd, just south of the McDonalds and 5 Guys. This review is for the old store on Piedmont. I will update after I visit the new store. Good selection of loose pipe tobacco. Not so good selection of tinned pipe tobacco. Decent selection of pipes(Bjarne, Peterson, Ardor, Brebbia, Reiner, Wiley, to name a few). Good selection of estate pipes. The prices are reasonable for both pipes and tobacco. They do not carry nasal snuff. Craig is the resident pipe«expert». He is a wealth of information. If you need a pipe fixed take it to Craig. If you have questions about pipes, it is likely that Craig will be able to answer them. However, Craig has limited knowledge of pipe tobacco. All things considered, he is one of the most polite and friendly pipe/tobacco sales people in the Atlanta area. They have a buffing wheel to keep your pipes shining. This wheel is free to all customers. They have a fine selection of pipe accessories including, cases, tobacco pouches, tampers, reamers, pipe tools, pipe cleaners. Average selection of cigars. Mostly General stuff. Don’t look here for hard to find offerings or independent brands. The prices are average. I have given the store 3 ½ stars because although I am a fan, there are other more impressive selections of pipe tobacco at the same prices(sometimes better) in Atlanta. However, there is no place like it in the area. It is adequate for its convenience and the superior knowledge of the employees.

Edwards Pipe and Cigars sits on Peidmont street in a small area that has been there seince the 60s. You can tell the store front is out of date but in a good way. I went there for the first time to get my pipe repaired and when I walked in my sense were filled with the aroma of sweet pipe tobacco and cigar aromas mixing together producing a very pleasent aroma. The owner is a mild manner older gentleman named craig. A former pastor turned tobacconist. Craig is also a pipe tobacco blender and I always see him puffing on his pipe and never a cigar. His clientelle is mainly middle aged gentlemen whenever I am there but have seen young smokers run in and out. I do hang around when I go there and watch the news or talk with the people there. Edwards Pipes and Cigars is an ideal place for people looking to get into pipe smoking. Pipe smoking can be rather complex and detailed. Differnt blends, differnt pipes and the expereince of smoking a pipe is complex. Craig however is very knowlegeable about pipe smoking and can ansewer just about any question you have about pipes and pipe to

I love the smell of pipe tobacco in the morning… but i prefer to smoke cigars in the evening. And Edward’s is as much about selling tobacco as it is about smoking it. This place is like a crack house for tobacco lovers. Everytime I go there is a small crowd tokin’ on pipes and cigars while watching tv or talking current events. I usually get in and out with little convo ’cause a couple of the guys look like they could have been in «Deliverance» or maybe a little like the pawn shop owner in «Pulp Fiction.»(ya’ know, Zed’s friend!). Anyhow, this is a great place for serious smokers or lightweights(like me). And don’t be thrown off by the owner; he is cautious but friendly.
