d’vine Wine Bar & Shop

This is a great little spot to pop in for a glass of wine and some nibbles. There is also a store so you can take it home. Very cozy, warm ambiance… great choices of really good wines by the glass… live music sometimes. As for the food… I like the flatbread and the dip trio… especially the walnut gorganzola… yum!

My wife and I stopped in d’vine for a glass of wine (or 3) before an event and really enjoyed it. The wine selections is great, the bartenders are very knowledgeable, and the cheese plate (while not fancy at all) is a bargain.
The atmosphere is very welcoming and doesn’t seem pretentious at all, which I loved. There was a wine tasting going on in the back which sounded like fun. The bartender said that they have them often, so we want to look for those in the future.
Overall, a great local place to go in Dunwoody for fantastic wine.

Great choice of wines but what puts this place on the map in my book are its crab cakes. No filler just crab baby.

By far the best wine bar I’ve been to as far as selection. Service was good… cheese selection was great. I went here after leaving Dunwoody Tavern, I think I’m the future I am going to rock with just d’Vine. My only knock is the location… only because while on the patio it has to compete with other restaurants nearby.

Great spot! Bob and the crew do a nice job and the wine and food are great! Awesome date spot or a group outing destination!

Great neighborhood gem! They have live music on the weekends, a lovely patio, and some of the friendliest people around. Great wines in house, with a little shop to purchase bottles for home, too. Shout out to Bob and Sarah for making this our Friday night regular!

Over priced for what you get. Not worth the $$$. I’ve been there several times and the energy is lacking in that place which is a shame. The bartenders are stand offish. You have to ask for everything you want. they are incapable of realizing on their own if you need more bread with the charcuterie that is still left on the table. We ordered a huge plate of meets and cheeses. It came with about 5 crackers. I asked for a small basket of bread. It was very good but we went thru the bread pretty quickly. Had to ask for more. We had to ask for water as well. Why is that an issue to me you might ask. The first thing we did when we got there was a wine tasting and the bartender never once offered us a glass of water. We tried to be patient because she was the only one there working the bar and the floor.

A recent, and happy, re-​discovery. Owner Bob is usually on hand to greet customers and chat with the regulars. Katie runs the place with slick efficiency, ready humor and an amazing knowledge of wine. I love that you can taste before selecting! So… I joined the Wine Club! What a great neighborhood establishment… plenty of parking, music on weekends, outdoor patio, WiFi, friends. And GREAT wines!

Note: My review is based on the venue… since my company had their Holiday Party here.
To be honest, I had no idea this place existed until the company folks told us the party was going to be here. I knew of Tavern, but who knew there was a fancier place next door?!
It looks kind of small on the outside, but it’s pretty decently sized on the inside! Our company has about… 35 – 40 people? So add +1s to that and there’s the size of our party.
Parking — lots of it. d’vine is a part a strip mall like parking lot so. you’ll find a lot of parking and space.
The inside of this place is very pretty. Bar looks cool + and the display of wine bottles is very nice. Would not mind coming back here for a Girls Night or even bringing my wine loving friends here. During our party they had lots of long tables and chairs around + Karaōke haha. Even a DJ! So space is not that bad at all. We also had a photo booth in the back.
Oh, they did have outdoor seating too! It was just cold to go outside haha.
Food at the party was great. It exceeded my expectations. Also, service was spot on. There were a lot of people at the party but the ladies at the bar were very active in getting drinks. Thanks ladies! :)
I highly recommend smaller companies to come here and host parties. I personally thought it was an excellent place to drink, eat, and be merry!

We LOVE d’vine! Their bartenders are wonderfully informed on a wide arrange of wines, wine regions, and pairing options. Not to mention, they are great company! They have been around for more than a decade, and have been top rated in the country for wine bars. They have the ability to do events and larger gatherings, as well as private tastings. They host a wine club that includes one tasting a month and two bottles of wine to take home from the tasting. You also receive discounts on other tastings they have outside of the wine club. Mr. Bob is the owner, and you can usually find him there mingling about. He is a wonderful person, and if you are lucky, maybe you’ll get to dance with him! We love this local spot in Dunwoody.

I love this place and it’s so darn close to me too! The bartenders are so knowledgable of the wine they sell. The menu is constantly changing. There kitchen is only open for dinner but the crab cake is straight Baltimore style! The mac and cz with added proscuitto is heaven too. I cannot express how hidden but cute this place is. I passed it a gazillion times but never noticed it. The inside was pretty and clean. I will return for the live music and romance that their weekends hold!

Our favorite place to have wine. Great staff, good food, and good selection of wine. The owner is personable and always there to greet you.

D’Vine Wine Bar and Shoppe is an attractive wine bar in Dunwoody near the Chamblee-​Dunwoody, Mt. Vernon RD intersection. A wide variety of wines are available for service in the restaurant or for purchase. There is a limited menu, mostly consisting of a cheese plates and a few salads. Given that I had just finished a large dinner prior to coming, I didn’t order any food.
First, the positive. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I asked for a recommendation on the Bourdeaux, and it was indeed quite good. The interior of the restaurant is very attractive with a great ambiance. The main bar is on one wall, wine on the other and a smaller room off to one side. When we arrived, a musician with an acoustic guitar was setting up shop, and played the generally sort of non-​offensive, listenable Top 40 type music appropriate for the venue. The lighting was nice — dim enough to create a nice, romantic atmosphere but not so bad you need to break out a flashlight to read the menu.
Now, to the reason why I left with a generally negative impression and almost certainly will not go back. The value is unacceptable. My glass of Bordeaux was $ 18. That’s usually more than I’d ever pay for any alcohol, ever, but I was in the mood for something different that night. I knew it would be expensive going in. My amazement was with the miserly pour I received. It was a good third less than what one would typically receive a restaurant, except at twice the price!
As I said, the wine was quite good, no complaints there. The server was very nice and knew her products. And again, it’s very attractive restaurant. But, unless you just need to show out, I can’t recommend the expense one shall incur at this place.
Pros: Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere and abmience.
Cons: Just not worth it, unfortunately.
Verdict: Not recommended.

Great ambiance at this little wine shop and bar. Service was great in terms of wine recommendations and making sure we were doing okay throughout the evening. My only gripe was the food we ordered. Prosciutto pizza wasn’t very good. We also got the crab stuffed mushrooms which were okay. The highlight of the evening was the Zinfandel blend wine we got. Would be up for trying this place again but ordering different food items.

I had such, SUCH an amazing time here. Honestly can’t remember what happened AFTER I left, but who cares? Wine selection is extensive, knowledgeable wine bartenders, and amazing cheeseplates. I might just have to be a regular…
I definitely recommend sitting at the bar. Faster service IMO.

Quaint, intimate, romantic spot for two [insert Lady & Tramp kiss]. Good assortment of food to complement different styles of wine, and great service if you’re not a wineaux like myself. If you can give them a few clues about your tastes they’ll come back w/​a full selection to match your palette. I suggest trying their wine flights, as it’s a good way to find your fav’s & see which bottle you’re taking home (you’re gonna want a bottle to-​go)
To the guys: don’t forget the contraceptive

This place was a pleasant surprise! I had read all of the great reviews and finally decided to pop in when a really good friend came to visit me from out of town. I am definitely mad at myself for not stopping by sooner because we had a great time. We were immediately greeted when we walked through the door and told to seat ourselves, which we did. Our server quickly greeted us and brought over menus. We told her that this was our first visit and she was super excited. She recommended a half antipasti and 2 cheese platter, which was exactly what we needed. I loved everything about this place. From the atmosphere to the great food and wine selection everything was fantastic. I will be back!

Lots of wines to choose from whether you’re looking for just a taste, a half-​glass, whole glass, a bottle or the case.
Not a lot of food choices on the menu but good items to snack on – don’t count on making it «dinner» though unless you’re a light eater.
