Atlantic Station is a cesspit of mediocrity, and Doc Green’s is no exception. The menu here offers up a variety of salads, soups, sandwiches, and wraps, generally reflective of an emphasis on healthy eating. But there’s also a few hot entrée options, including turkey, ham, chicken, steak, and salmon. Unfortunately, the food is almost uniformly terrible. The quality of the ingredients isn’t particularly good in the first place, and the preparations are bland and unappetizing. The salads I’ve had haven’t been particularly fresh, and the soups I’ve tried are about as good as something from a can. This is the kind of stuff that scares people away from eating vegetarian and from eating healthy. The cafeteria-like ambiance doesn’t really help anything, either. The interior is incredibly sterile and unwelcoming — think Golden Corral, though possibly without the cloud of grease hanging in the air. Service is pretty inefficient, too. Prices are okay, but the food’s not worth the money. If you must stop by, try looking for a coupon from Half Off Depot or Restaurant dot com

Doc Green’s is among the worst dining options in Atlantic Station, which is quite an achievement considering the substandard caliber of its contenders. It’s essentially a glorified cafeteria, sans the meatloaf, hairnets, and octogenarian staff. Food: Doc Green’s specializes in standard health fare, including salads, sandwiches, and light entrees. The food is by no means innovative or exceptional in flavor, but there are a variety of options and the ingredients are reasonably fresh. They also prominently post the nutritional information for each of their menu items, which is certainly an incentive for those wishing to monitor their calorie intake. Service: Charmingly incompetent. The staff are certainly friendly, but their ability to correctly prepare non-standard items, such as the«build your own» salad, is limited. During my only visit, I also took issue with the fact that the staff member working the register charged an 18% gratuity on the bill because I was using a certificate. Although this is mentioned on the certificate as part of the site’s standard language, I wouldn’t expect a restaurant with no table service to charge a mandatory gratuity. I’ll normally tip a few dollars in cash at the register in these types of places, but to be forced to pay over $ 5 in gratuity at a fast food restaurant is a bit extreme. These individuals are not classified as tipped workers under Georgia law and are paid the standard minimum wage. Atmosphere: Institutionally sterile. The tables and chairs are uncomfortable, chintzy, and mildly reminiscent of a high school cafeteria. Cost: Inexpensive, but still not commensurate with the quality and quantity that you could get elsewhere for the same price. Base salads cost $ 6-$ 9, but meat and additional toppings cost several dollars extra. Wraps and sandwiches are $ 7-$ 9 and entrees are all around $ 9. Fountain drinks range in price from $ 1.50 to $ 2 depending on the size. Other: Fortunately, the one thing this place has going for it is ample parking. I’ve never had a problem finding a spot in the section of the garage directly below Doc Green’s. Also, contrary to some rumors that have been making the rounds, parking is still free for a maximum of two hours.

I had a Groupon so that’s pretty much the only reason I came… otherwise, the salads and sandwiches here are sooooooo pricey! I had the Thai wrap. Overloaded with dressing but otherwise it tasted okay… nothing spectacular. But what am I supposed to compare it to? I don’t think I could force myself to pay regular price for some leaves and a couple pieces of chicken in a wrap.

I ordered the Dr. Rosen Rosen with no bacon or blue cheese. The employee’s response? Glaring at me for a full minute before lethargically putting my salad together. My bf had left his wallet at home so after ordering I proceeded to the cash register to pay and never saw him finish up the process. End result? No bacon, plenty of blue cheese, and NODRESSING! Food: decent Service: terrible

With respect to the food, this is my least favorite restaurant in Atlantic Station. I’ve only tried two things here: the grilled buffalo chicken caesar wrap and the shrimp/corn chowder. Both were quite bland. The shrimp/corn chowder tasted more like a watery broccoli and cheese soup than anything else; that chowder lacked any vestige of corn or shrimp. I suspect the server gave us the wrong soup. Although the food failed to impress, Doc Green’s service was efficient and not bad.

I chose Doc Green’s because it seemed like the healthiest option against all the other restaurants at Atlantic Station. The service wasn’t exactly as welcoming as I’d expect, but they weren’t rude. I was expecting the lettuce in the salad I chose to be fresh, and it wasn’t –however I did like the texture and crunch that the dried cranberries and walnuts added. The avocado spread was definitely not fresh — it was brown. I loooove me some fresh avocado spread, so that definitely turned me away.

Since my neighborhood Doc Green’s closed on Ponce(I still shed tears for this)…the Atlantic Station location is my go to if I have a craving. It’s also a nice option when you’re at Atlantic Station to catch a flick. Their food is great… salads, sandwiches, soups, sides… nice variety of each. I prefer to build my own salad. This comes with the greens of my choice, 5 veggies and dressing for $ 6.99. If you stop there… I promise you’ll be happy, BUT for an extra charge… you can ad meat(grilled chicken, roasted turkey, crispy chicken tenders, oven baked ham, grilled portabella mushroom, poached salmon(chilled) or grilled sirloin steak(medium rare). I’m also a fan of Sirloin Steak Panini, which is grilled sirloin topped with creamy horseradish spread and mozzarella cheese. All sandwiches comes with a side, soup or salad. Their soup selection is better during the winter months, but not bad the rest of the year. If they have french onion when you’re there… GETIT! I’ve always been very happy with how it’s prepared there. Service is usually pretty good, but the line can be slow, at times. Note…www.foodpeople.com delivers this location. We’re in O4W… so they come this far out. Overall…whenever I want my salad/sandwich kick(and I’m not in the mood to make one)…Doc Greens is the first place I think of.

You know the food: nothing special. What you expect is fast service. Not here. After having to beg someone to take my order(when NOONE else was in line), I was less than happy. It did not get better with the guy at the register asking«Is it too expensive for you?» …Crazy. Were I a less forgiving customer, I would have thrown a fit. Instead, I am just warning everyone else. To top it off, there was barely any cheese between the slices of bread to warrant the name grilled cheese!

I literally just walked back in the door from eating here. I almost sprouted wings and turned into a dragon and started torching people with fiery breath when they brought my salad out. If anything has ever ridden the fail bus it was the salad that I just ate. I ordered steak with my salad and I needed a microscope to find the steak. Murder

Went here because we had a coupon… The atmosphere was ok, nothing more then a simple eatery… I got the Dr. Grilled Veggie salad: not bad, just a standard salad.

As we were walking around Atlantic Station and exploring the numerous shops that called this shopping center their home, we suddenly became hungry for something to eat. Being a vegetarian, Doc’s Green looked like a safe bet. We arrived on Monday, July 05, 2010 at 12:32 pm: As we walked into this restaurant, tables and booths were set up somewhat neatly in the dining area. It looked like a nice little salad bar and the smell of cooking vegetables showed promise. So i went to the counter with my family and we ordered: I ordered the«Dr.Grilled Veggie» salad without the balsamic dressing. The menu stated that for $ 8.99 you got field greens, grilled zucchini and yellow squash, grilled portabello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, avocado, and onions all in one salad. It sounded very appetizing and so i was kind of excited to see so many vegetables i loved in one dish. When i got it, it was not what i expected.
The vegetables were cold and showed char marks meaning they had grilled them quite a while ago, but that was fine. They want to prep before hand to make it easier? Go for it. So i looked at the salad and discovered they had forgotten the avocado. I went back to ask and they said«oh no. Its not real avocado. We use a paste.» So looked through it and found nothing. Not even the«Paste». So i went back again, and they said it was clear and mixed in the salad, so you could not see it. So i ignored it and went on to eat the rest of my food(which was not big enough for nine dollars). When i went to eat the mushroom(it only had one instead of the plural on their menu), it was greasy. It had black liquid dripping from it and it did not even taste like mushroom.
So i went to get some water and hoped that was safe. Well truth be told, the lemonade pump and water pump were connected, so even after holding the water pump for a second to maybe circulate it out before using my glass, it tasted lemony. I do not mean to complain as i am a very picky eater due to my vegetarianism and strange taste buds, but my family was not happy either. I do not recall the name of what they ate, but they politely asked me to review the macaroni as it tasted like it came from a box, and the grilled chicken as extremely dry and crunchy(the chicken meat was crunchy, not the skin). So i am sorry to say that i was very disappointed in the restaurant. Maybe it was just a bad experience or maybe it was just not my preference. Either way, i would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good quality food for a good price. –Andrew D. Morrison–

Okay, well… hmmm…the staff was zombie like and not helpful at all. I asked a question and the guy didn’t even respond with words, he just pointed at the menu board. The last time I went to Doc Greens it was a totally different menu so of course I had questions and didn’t know where to find shit on the overwhelming board behind the counter. The employee’s level of helpfulness sucked so I just ordered the first thing that seemed decent. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with side salad lunch special. It came with a drink and was only $ 6.00 which I think was a fair price. I don’t think that its worth the regular $ 8.50 price tag. I’m rarely in Atlantic Station so I doubt I’ll be coming back to this Doc Greens.

I was craving something on the healthier side and had a super quick dinner here with my man. I ordered the Thai Asian chicken salad and it was alright. I wouldn’t say it was the best since it is a somewhat«fast food» joint but the curly fries were great and my fruity, slushy thing that I ordered from the cashier was«sweet enough.»

Let’s start with the good — Staff was friendly and helpful. They had a good variety of salad fixins’ and generous portions. Now for the bad — There was something about this place that was just a bit sketchy. I’m from California and I’m used to having a letter grade in the front window of restaurants… and let’s just say I don’t think they would have an A. Lastly, I ordered Avocado and it was some weird mushy guacamole concoction. This could be my CA avocado standards kicking in.

Ugh. This place is dirty, understaffed and less than enthusiastic about getting things done. So its lunch hour– and they sure seems to need at least one additional person since the order taker dude was also the salad sandwich-maker dude. The line grew and grew while my time sped by. I usually get the fresh mixed salad at the Cumberland location, but setups here looks sloppy so I passed. I opted for the lunch special Buffalo chicken wrap– more«croutons» in the wrap than chicken! Overall this place was dirty and nasty– did I say DIRTY? PASSTHISJOINTBY!

First of all, kudos for a place trying so sell salads for their main business. However, the service sucked, and the manager behind the line didn’t appear to know what he was doing. Either he was a new manager, or perhaps he was trying to teach a new staff by allowing them to ‘have at it’ on their own. Whatever the case, it was chaos behind the line with a lot of random ingredients sitting out in their packaging(this okay in a kitchen, but when all of your customers can see what you’re doing?) My Ex at the time thought the place was okay, however I was not pleased by the portion size: price Her sandwich was sloppily made, and fell apart in the to-go box(granted, no food is meant to be put in a box, but still), and my meal had no flavor. I can see why the Doc Greens on Johnson’s Ferry Road is no longer there…

Doc Greens is really a salad place, but more recently they have grown the menu to have wraps and a few other things. Have been to the one at Atlantic Station quite a few times by now. The food is fresh and well prepared. The dishes are in general generous. You can have just about any customization of your salad. If you are into healthy salads and good food this is a great place to go for lunch. The service is fast and friendly. They have a frequent diner card so that you can earn a small thing after 10 meals, if you are into that kind of thing.

I hit up Doc Greens often when I’m in Atlantic Station. Healthy eating and service is usually fast. They also have a frequent diner card where you can get a free meal after 10 meals. The food usually tastes good and I’ve never had a terrible experience. The salads are all good and I like the paninis they offer.

In the very wise words of a woman who shall remain nameless: «do NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT order rice box EVAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR» Except in this case, instead of Rice Box, it’s Doc Green’s. I ordered a salad and some soup via Zifty and the fabulous delivery folks were at my door right on time. The soup was still hot, so I know that the flavor of the food awaiting me did not have Zifty to blame. No, this was alllllll on the Doc. I threw the tomato soup out after the first bite, and I don’t even do that with Campbell’s. There was something so sickly sweet and just plain wrong about it: awful. The salad was almost as bad: absolutely drenched in dressing with huge chunks of that nasty end-of-the-wedge white lettuce. Not good. I give them an extra star for at least attempting to provide healthier delivery/takeout eats, but the price is far too high($ 2.50 to add 3 slices of chicken?! wtf.) and the food is too subpar for me to ever order from them again. I’d give you the same advice that the incredibly smart woman quoted above gave me.
