If you are here just for drinks, its not so bad. But the food is terribly overpriced for the quality. It all seemed like frozen food. The service was also terrible.

Say it with me: $ 3 house IPA pints at 6.7% You really can’t go wrong this way. They had a nice interesting selection of pricier specialty drafts as well. I ate the ATL poutine which was advertised as a «snack,» but should be more properly labelled a meal for two! Good thing I was hungry. Conveniently open late as well.

I could see it being a cool place to hang out and watch some games, but I was not impressed with my visit today. The burgers and sandwiches are just average bar food, nothing special at all. The lemonade cocktails have absolutely no vodka in them, couldn’t taste even a hint of alcohol. The pretzel was the one good part of the meal but I was disappointed they brought the appetizer out after the entrees. It also took about 20 minutes to flag down our guy to get the check.

We visited fairly late at night, 11ish. Food is available until 2ish. Excellent service. Our waitress was very attentive and refreshed our drinks quickly. I got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries. It was pretty good. The place is very busy on a Friday night. Very loud. Lots of folks sitting outside and inside. We managed to snag a booth table inside. I’d visit again.

Great deal on the $ 3 sweetwater. Decent service once we finally got a server. Sweet potato nachos were great drunk in food but otherwise, nothing epic in the way of eats. I’ll be back as it is a convienent location to the Fox Theater as well as other great parts of Atlanta.

I travel to Atlanta for business every couple of months, and always stay right around the corner from Cypress. It never fails to keep me satisfied when I walk out the door! It’s smaller inside than I’d think; the patio is probably 3x the size. The service is usually pretty damn solid, and I’m a big fan of all the burgers on the menu. For some reason that’s what I always target here, the burgers. Coming from Colorado I’m usually a snob about beer lists, and always find myself impressed & pleased with both the variety and quality of beers on tap & in bottle at Cypress.

This place is nice and tucked away off West Peachtree. I thought it would be mostly a Georgia Tech crowd but it was actually quite diverse with people who looked like they worked in the area. I got here on a Thursday night around 7pm and there was a really good crowd. You just go in, find a seat and a server will come greet you. The place is really nice with low lighting. It’s not too noisy and the menu is interesting so I think this is a good happy hour or date spot but but maybe not so great for large groups. I ordered a bottle of wine because it was half price and the server was helpful with picking a good choice. I ordered the soup of the day which was an Asian pulled pork. It had good flavor but was very salty. My friend orders the sublime burger. Excellent choice! It was a lot and took a while to finish but was good and worth the caloric intake. Ha. I ordered the Sweet Potato Nachos and they were really tasty. They are apparently a big hit with the late night crowd. They have a great beer and wine selection… can’t wait to go back and try more options. They had a lot of fruity beer options as well. Parking was quote simple as there is a lot of paid parking on West Peachtree. There is also a garage near by but parking on the street was really simple. By the way, I stead of using the machines just use the park mobile app. Signing up is easy and then you won’t have to worry about paying for parking using those horrible machines. With that being stated. Our server was great and attentive and I can’t wait to come back to try more food and drink in such a great atmosphere.

This place is nestled right in the heart of Georgia Tech. There is a parking garage right next door which made parking convenient. We parked after 6pm so it was a $ 5 flat fee. The walk from the parking garage is super short. Entry is age 21+ only and they definitely check IDs so I suggest coming prepared with photo identification. When we visited, there was no host so we had to find seating ourselves. That was a little challenging as it had rained earlier and the only seating left was outside seating. We found a table and one of the servers wiped it down for us. I thought that was really nice of her. The noise level on the patio is really high. The vibe of this restaurant is really cool. Everyone is having great conversation and mingling. The menu selections were pretty good. I would classify it as upscale bar food. There were a lot of interesting selections. They have an extensive bar/wine list including some locally brewed. I had Sweetwater Blue which I was a huge fan of. We also tried the Sweet potato nachos. Absolutely amazing. Covered in cheese, sriracha ranch, bacon and some other amazingness. So good! We also tried the pickleback burger. It had ½ beef, pepperjack cheese, jameson whiskey glaze, garlic mayo… just delicious. I would definitely come back if we’re ever in town again.

I love Cypress Street Pint & Plate. As a Georgia Tech student, it’s great to have a place that serves good food and good beer so close to campus. If you come here on weekends on Friday evening be prepared to wait for a table. If you don’t mind coming early, appetizers are half off Monday through Friday from 5−7pm. For appetizers, my favorites are the chicken quesadilla, fried mushrooms, and gumbo. As for entrees, get the Sublime burger. Imagine this, ½ a pound of burger sandwiched between two Krispey Kreme donuts. I could go on with the other toppings but I don’t want to make myself hungry. As for beer, the selection is always changing, but I recommend getting the house beer(Sweetwater IPA), it’s cheap and good. The reason for the four star rating is that service here is hit or miss, and also most other options on the menu are not that great in my opinion. If you are in Midtown and want a place to get good beer, good burgers, and filling appetizers, come to Cypress.

Parking: They don’t have a dedicated lot so you have to find street parking nearby. Service: Good, courteous staff. Food: Their burger and fries were awesome! overall experience: B+ Good atmosphere and good food! I’m not huge on burgers and fries and bar food so that’s why I didn’t give 5 stars.

The Sublime Donut burger was really good! The sweet definitely complemented the burger itself, surprisingly! The portion was just right, too. The sweet potato appetizers aren’t bad either. The cheese on it was great, but there was only a lot on the top of the pile and not much in the middle or bottom, so it was just eating sweet potato waffle fries, but otherwise, it is a great snack! The dessert was delicious! I got the Sublime Donut dessert, which is a donut sandwich with ice cream in the middle, and it was DIVINE~ if you don’t like sweet food, that dessert is not for you. Great experience, the waiters were nice and considerate, but it was difficult finding seats because you have to seat yourself. Overall, wonderful food, great service, and would definitely come again!

Amazing restaurant! Manager(Rob) was making rounds and making sure everyone was taken care of and noticed we had been waiting for our orders to be taken and came over to apologize and take our orders. We weren’t upset at all and were just enjoying the patio, but it shows a lot when the manager preemptively comes up to make sure all his guests are taken care of. The burgers are fantastic. My friend had the Cypress Burger w/Bleu Cheese and I had the Sublime Burger which features donuts as the two buns. Definitely one of the best burgers we’ve had in a long time. The only blip in our experience were the fries. I just felt they could’ve been crispier, but that’s pretty insignificant considering a lot of places charge extra for sides anyway. I thought the price for the experience, amount of food, and atmosphere was well worth it. Rob checked on us again later and was generous enough to give us some gift certificates because of the wait! Again, we weren’t even bothered by it. It was a very pleasant surprise and as soon as we went back to work told all our coworkers about the experience. Can’t wait to go back!

There’s not much I can say that hasn’t been said in the other 700 reviews about this place. Service was okay & the food was great. We ordered the following and would recommend all of it: Sublime Burger Chicken & Waffles sweet potato nachos Philly sandwich Patio has a dumpster beside it so you can smell it when the wind blows but it wasn’t so bad that we felt the need to move inside.

I came here since this bar showed it was open late till 2:00 am and I was still up to have a couple drinks and hang out with my sister for our last night out at Atlanta. Upon arrival, the patio was filled with tables of people still hanging out. It was 1am and people were still hanging out having a good time on a Wesnesday late night/morning. I heard a lot of good things about this place from the locals in regards to their food and I also was having my late night munchies and wanted dessert. I sat at the bar and I told them that I came to satisfy my late night sweet craving. I was happy the kitchen was still open. They fixed me up a brownie sundae to feed my sweet tooth at such a late of an hour. It was so moist, chocolatey and everything I wanted In a fudge brownie. I was overly satisfied and content to have my dessert. My bartender was so nice and educated me with the vast selections of options I can choose from. He fixed me up a cocktail similar to a cherry mojito. I don’t recall what he exactly put in my drink, but it tasted so good. The only negative part was that my bartender was working on clearing up the bar and getting ready to end his shift so I had to wait on some other bartender that took his time chit chatting instead of trying to give me my check right away. It was a good time hanging out with the locals in the area and having a good time with my sister. I’m sure I’d come back to try their primary menu and come for dinner and appetizers.

This place wins on so many levels. It has a parking garage for cheap literally right next door, which is huge on a weekend in Midtown. You can easily grab a table(I grabbed a table for 8 on a Friday night during March Madness). They have an awesome late night menu; specifically, the pretzel with the cheese and spicy BBQ mustard was maybe the best pretzel I’ve ever had in my life. The ATL poutine was also on-point(has pulled BBQ pork and cole slaw). The draft beer selection is a bit modest, but I was very happy with the beers they had, which included both local and national craft beers(they also have a house IPA for only $ 3). I recommend everyone in the Atlanta area to try Cypress for its late night service!

This cute little hidden gem was a pretty good spot just to hang, eat, drink, and watch some basketball. I will say that this little place isn’t the biggest and gets crowded pretty quickly in the patio if the weather nice out. Just an FYI — people will bring their dogs so if you’re not about that life, you might wanna try elsewhere: There was a wide range of food from a good ol salad or soup to the Georgia kimchi. I was having one of those let me have some greenery in my system days so I just stuck with a caeser salad and I believe my sister got the fried mushrooms and gumbo which she liked. They also have a pretty good range of beer, cider, and cocktails. I tried the AC pear cider and it was so refreshing. Our waitress was a really sweet girl who was handling just about the entire patio but she did a very good job multitasking and making sure we were taken care of. Parking was a little difficult as they do not have their own parking lot or anything but you can park and pay at the meter located on the side of the restaurant. There’s not a ton of spaces but there’s other street parking a block down and a parking deck nearby. Again, this was a pretty good chill and enjoy some sun place and I was happy we beat the after brunch crowd. Think I’ll be back soon to actually try some other food lol.

I have a soft spot for Cypress because it was the location of my best first date ever. But even besides that, it’s a cool little spot! Here’s why: 1. It’s versatile. You could come here on a date(tried and true!), for dinner with out of towners, late night drinks, or anything in between. It’s sort of a catch-all place where you always feel at home. 2. Great drinks. Spectacular beer list, with a lot of love for local breweries. I’ve also heard they have great cocktails. The house beer is $ 3 for a pint(and it’s really just Sweetwater IPA!), but you can also get a 16oz can of Boston Lager for $ 3.50. Don’t worry — there are fancier beers too. 3. Good food! You won’t find super pretentious menu items here — mostly burgers, sandwiches, and such. But what they do, they do well. If you like cheesesteaks, check this one out. They import the bread from Philly so you know it’s authentic. An all-around good place!

Cypress would be a solid 3.5 or more for me but the sentimentality factor gets it to at least a 4*, always. Back in «the day» — the tween Unilocal years under a former CM, when I’d already been in the Elite game and Unilocal was growing and growing, and I made so many friends– Cypress and Billy and the whole Sublime burger deal were hot, hot, hot. So, of course, when my dear Adam R finally got back to Atlanta and had time to get together, and suggested a meet up there, well… duh. Happy to see that Cypress is still busy and pretty, and cool, and fun. We didn’t eat much but the garlic parm wings are delicious. Every night there is some kind of drink special so check their site– I think Thu is half price wine bottles and there are some good choices like 14 Hands. I don’t live far– and now that I’ve had a little re-taste– and a good friend back who loves the place, I need to do more recon and give an even more in depth update! Good plan.

If you’re looking for a decent place in Midtown for some drinks and great appetizers/snacks, definitely give cypress a try. As far entrees, nothing I’ve ever tried has been spectacular. This last time I went I had the pretzel and Sweet Potato nachos. We tried to get the poutine but they were out. The pretzel is awesome, and served with this really tasty cheese sauce. The sweet potato dish was great too. My favorite appetizer is probably the BBQ egg rolls though, they are on point!!! There isn’t a ton of street parking, but I think the lot next door is only like 5 bucks which isn’t bad for midtown.
