Coils Hair Lounge

I am a natural sistah in need of a good haircut so I began researching salons on Unilocal.I have gotten bad haircuts before and I didn’t want one again. I read quite a few reviews but only called two Salons before I decided to go to Coils hair Lounge. I am big on customer satisfaction and the two Salons I called to inquire about their services did not identify themselves, so that was a bad start for me.
I found «Naturalbeauty365» Adrianna Nicole (hair stylist) on instagram, by using hastag #natualhaircut. I called and she answered the phone by identifying her self. Adrianna was patient, and answered all my questions, I was able to make the appointment for the next day. I texted her a three pictures of the haircut I was considering. She was prompt with her text responses.
The Breakdown: Coils Hair Salon
1. About five Parking Parking Spaces directly in Front of the Shop. I figure you can park across the street at the Mexican Restaurant or the Hotel.
2. The Shop is a moderate size (cozy), nice décor and Clean.
3. Right off the Highway, Exit 25 off interstate 285
4. Seems like they specialize in Natural Hair, most of the clients had natural hair.
5. All the staff I encountered were pleasant and professional
Adrianna Nicole (Hair Stylist)
1. Her found her to be pleasant, accommodating, professional and knowledgeable
2. She washed my hair, blow dry and cut
3. My honest on the my haircut, it was «Good».
4. 5. I will return to the Salon, and I will recommend others
*** The only reason I did not give my experience «5 stars» is because I felt my haircut was not complete because she did not shape up the nape of my neck. After a short haircut, tapering the nape of the neck is a MUST! *****

Coils Hair Salon has such a relaxed setting! Adrianna is the best stylist I’ve had in years. She’s kind spirited, great at her job and warm. I was very comfortable throughout my entire visit. My hair feels so much healthier. Anytime I am in GA she will be doing my hair. Andrianna will be my stylist for my wedding next May as well!

I had a consultation with Adrianna Nicole she appear to be very knowledgeable, and nice. I was going to get the Kinky Twist. She schedule me for a Saturday. She explain that I needed to schedule with
she also explain that if I have any problem with logging in that I were to call her, But she had me down for 11:30 any how. The site would not take my email address or my home address. So I called her she then said, that she would check it out and would call me back well. She never did. So the next day I called she didn’t answer her phone. I left a message for her to call me back. She never did that was very unprofessional. I will never go back there and I will not recommend this place to friends or family this is not the way that you do business.

If i could give a –5 would. This place has terrible customer service and poor time management. Adrianna had three people in front of me and still moved slow. After waiting two hours I gratherd my things and politely left. There are way too many hair salons in Atlanta to be wasting my time at coils. I will spend my money elsewhere. #NeverAgain

Love this salon! The stylists will make your hair look gorgeous but are also concerned with the health of your hair. A few years ago, I had experienced some significant damage to my hair and my stylist Kenya was open and honest about my need for a haircut. She nursed my hair back to health and now my hair is down my back!
All of the stylists are committed to the health and beauty of their clients hair. Definitely recommend this place to anyone with natural hair!

I just visited Coils last week. My stylist was Adrianna, and I am so happy with the results! I usually style my own natural hair into two-​strand twists and only go to a salon for trims and application of henna. Adrianna blew my hair dry and then cut it into the shape I requested; not only has this perfect cut made my fine hair feel fuller, but has also significantly reduced the time it takes me to do my twists.
Adrianna is clearly technically skilled, but I also enjoy my visits to the salon because she is warm, encouraging, calm, and really seems to care about the health of your hair. I have already made my next appointment because I can’t believe how much more manageable my hair is. I appreciate the convenience of online appointment booking. The salon has a relaxing and friendly atmosphere, and the stylists make all who enter feel welcome.

Coils is a great hair salon, that specializes in healthy hair. I am a former Too Groovy client, who discovered this convenient location close to home. Kia started out doing my girls hair, and based on her professionalism, passion for hair, creativity and getting you out in a timely manner, is what lead me (a weekly client) to her chair. All of the stylist are well experience. But don’t take my word for it, drop in and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed! Kia is not just my hair doctor that treats, hydrates and cares for my hair, she’s my stylist that creates and innovate hairstyles that get approachers requesting her number!

Whenever I go to Coils I am never disappointed. From doing natural styles with Adrianna and Kia to getting my hair straightened by salon owner, LaVonne, I get nothing but compliments! I always feel at home when I come into the lounge sharing views on everything from hair, to music to dieting with the girls. MUST-​GO Salon!

Checked this place out because it was near my home at the time — I have about 12 inches of thick, natural hair. The look on their faces when I walked through the door to ask about two-​strand twists was priceless! The stylists as well as the people in the chairs looked very strangely at me — like I’d walked into a bar asking for hair style prices lol Then I noticed they ALL had straight hair. That’s when I realized what the situation was:
This is a «natural hair» salon that specializes in straightening hair. If I had looked at the hair menu online, I would have known!
I was directed to the lone stylist in the salon who did two-​strands and other non-​hair-​ironing styles. She was pretty shocked by my hair — and honestly, this is not Rapunzel status but I could tell she’s used to very short hair. I took her card and politely left, determined I would never, EVER set foot in there again. People love my hair — I don’t need to feel uncomfortable because you’re intimidated by big hair :(
Can’t vouch for or against their service — but if you’re not trying to get your hair pressed, don’t waste your time.

I’m really shocked by the previous review, as I have been a loyal client for many years now, and I have never witnessed a lack of unprofessionalism, in the least bit. Prior to my transition to my current stylist, I was known to spend hours in the salon, and this was with a scheduled appointment. I am completely natural now, and I have never spent more than 2 hours, and this is from start to finish. The stylists are always friendly and professional, and they consistently do AMAZING work!!! My hair has never been more healthy, and the thought of going to another salon has NEVER crossed my mind! Well deserved 5 stars!!!

Lacked customer service which is a shame because they seem like they do great work there. I’m not giving my money to stylists that seemed bothered to answer potential first time customer questions. Customer service goes a long way. smh
