This was the third Chin Chin I’ve eaten at and was really disappointed. I got an order of beef mongolian to go(along with two egg rolls and a tea). The total was $ 18 which to me was outrageously high. The egg rolls were really good but that was all. The beef mongolian looked like it had been reheated several times… was very dark and blah. It did not taste good either… very disappointed. This was my first and last time eating at this Chin Chin.

TL;DR — 2.5 Star for food but rounding up to 3 for their quick service. I dropped by Chin Chin for lunch to-go because my work is nearby. Placed seemed really packed during lunch hour. I ordered the Tangerine Chicken lunch special. Lunch special comes with egg fried rice, pork egg roll, and one piece of fried chicken wing. As mentioned before, food was just alright; I’ve had better. Although my order did come out fast, Tangerine Chicken wasn’t crispy but very mushy.

Our waiter seemed to be the only one taking tables, he was running around, felt bad for him. But the food was great! Beef fried rice was delicious and we ordered two sushi rolls that were just as good! The entrees were a little over priced, we will check out if they have any lunch specials soon!

Food is consistent but average(maybe even below average). General Tso’s comes out wet and soggy instead of crunchy. Same with every other chicken dish. Still it’s a convenient lunch spot or delivery place. The service is really fast.

I’ve been here a few times for a quick bite to eat near my job. What to say about this place, it’s not good but it’s not really bad either. I think I read the word«bland» in a previous review & that might be the best word to put on it. I’ve had the Beef Teriyaki with rice, Pot stickers, General Tso s, etc. never has my food been very flavorful or knocked me out of my seat. My search goes on for good Chinese food in this area.

So during a client visit, my colleagues all wanted to grab lunch at Chin Chin. I used to work in this general area and had never heard of the place, but it must be that I completely overlooked it the couple of times I hit up Willy’s Mexicana Grill and diAmano Chocolates in the same shopping center. I adjusted expectations as soon as I looked up the place on Unilocal, which led me to not being disappointed with my experience. We arrived around 12:30 pm on a weekday and there were some empty tables, making the wait null. Always a good thing when you’re rushing to get back to work. My co-worker and I ran into some of our team and just pulled up a table and joined their party. The server came around quickly to bring us water and gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu. I decided to go with yellow curry with chicken and she got a sushi roll(don’t ask me about it, I have no idea when it comes to anything seafood-related). Our orders came out in less 10 minutes and I found the portion to be a hefty lunch size, which made me happy, since I was kinda hungry. Lunch specials come with an egg roll on the side, which is like the ones you get from takeout Chinese places, with the thicker egg roll skin. Whatever, I still ate mine. The curry was decent. Not the best ever but it wasn’t horrible. Our server came around and brought our checks, separated, in little time and we were in and out in about 40 minutes. If you’re looking for an efficient lunch spot with good portions in this area, Chin Chin isn’t a bad choice.

My girlfriend and I ordered delivery from here from GrubHub. On GrubHub, the restaurant was given a 4⁄5 and did $ 1 delivery. We ordered the«Yummy Combo for 2». Not a single piece of the sushi rolls were palatable. The cooked rolls were so overcooked in old oil that the rolls had this unbelievably atrocious taste. The Dynamite Roll tasted of moldy fish left out in the sun covered in mayonnaise in a last ditch attempt to cover up the horrid flavor. The Alaska Roll had so much mayonnaise in the crab salad that it pooled around the sordid roll. The Spider Roll looked promising(and by promising, I mean it promised regret, shame, and contempt for the hunger that caused me to try a piece). Upon touching my tongue to a piece of the Spider Roll, I realized that the roll had left all of the good flavors at the curbside and replaced them with something ungodly. The Yummy Yummy Roll is not the descriptor I would have used for this roll, and its name is far from the truth of the matter. The fish was so overcooked in that nasty oil that you couldn’t tell what was what even after breaking it apart into pieces. It was topped with a sickly sweet and spicy sauce that was chunky and reminiscent of the sauce Chinese restaurants put on their General Tso’s chicken. Needless to say, I spit it out and looked with dread at the last roll, the Shrimp Tempura Roll. Somehow, they managed to infuse their roll with the essence of a dumpster or rotting fish in a hot sun. Let me put it this way, I spent $ 40 for a meal that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy and threw it away with a glee that I shouldn’t have felt. I hate wasting money. I don’t know why people are rating this place with 4 stars. Honestly, it shouldn’t have more than a 2(my delivery was on time). As they say, buyer beware.

They have really good sushi for the area! Reasonably priced. Their service is okay a little slow and there barely anyone in there. But, the sushi is delicious and Fresh. I had their dragon and volcano rolls. The plate was eye catching. This will definitely become my quick go to spot for my sushi fix.

Not sure about the chicken at this place. Almost seemed under cooked. Service was ok. Price is ok. May have been a bad night for cook. It was not just my plate but 2 others at the table. Would score lower but only my first time there.

Has always been my go-to Chinese. I love their menu, they even offer Sushi. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and quick service, without ridiculous prices. The takeout is always ready and waiting for us & we don’t mind the leftovers…

Here’s a simple explanation of my opinion of Chin Chin. I love chinese food, and I generally eat it once or twice a week. For many years I’ve worked in walking distance of this Chin chin, and for 10 years it was the closest chinese restaurant to where I lived. In all that time, I’ve eaten here 7 or 8 times. I’ll gladly drive 15 minutes to get better chinese food. To be fair, their lunch meals are a pretty good value(generally under $ 8, not including drink). I could make a reasonable case for 3 stars based on value, but generally, I don’t actively avoid 3 star restaurants like I do Chin Chin. Just to clarify, the food here isn’t gross or anything like that. It’s just usually bland. Nearby I usually go to Hunan Gourmet or Canton Cooks. If I can spare the extra few minutes of driving time, I’m either going to Buford Highway or Tasty China II.

I love their unagi. I don’t really order anything else from. Since I work close and their right next to CVS, my nail shop and Publix, this location is extremely convenient. Not sure about their other food, but the Unagi is great!

This is probably a redundant review but… meh. Overpriced for what we got and not very good. I tried the Mongolian beef, house fried rice and fried chicken wings. — The house fried rice actually came with several full-sized shrimp, which was impressive. There was chicken and pork as well. But overall, I felt the dish was very bland. I also didn’t care for the fatty bits of pork. — The Mongolian beef tasted fine, it was just a bit tough for my taste. — The wings were covered in a thick covering of fried tempura-style batter. Otherwise, it actually wasn’t bad. Don’t go in with high expectations, and maybe you won’t be disappointed. I went in with low expectations and still ended up disappointed.

This restaurant was a welcome surprise. While I didn’t think that it was a venue that had sushi on the menu, I was appreciative of the fact that it did. Located on the right side of Publix and behind the Arby’s fast food chain on Hammond Drive, Chin Chin V Chinese had something in the window that advertised sushi, which of course caught my attention. The lunch special was very, very affordable. I had 16 pieces of a variety of three(California roll, shrimp tempura, Alaska crab) along with a Tsing Tao bottled beer. The Alaska crabmeat was something new that I tried, and I’m glad that I did. Unfrickinbelivable! I only wished that I had enough time to devour an entire roll rather than the four pieces. Definitely something that I will try again at Chin Chin or look for at another venue. The total bill was something like $ 11 or $ 12 dollars, and the service was good. If I had one complaint, it would have been nice to have just a little more ginger and a lot less Wasabi. Either which way, I wasn’t being bothered by the server every 2 minutes, so I just let it go. All the while, a pretty good eating experience.
