One of my favorite places to enjoy oysters with a nice selection enjoyed at the bar. The bartenders are always fun and inviting and the drinks they serve up are on point.

My husband and I went here on Saturday night to celebrate his birthday. This was our first trip here, and we will definitely be back. The experience wasn’t perfect, but the staff worked really hard to make it right. I did find it weird that the restaurant is in a Kroger shopping center, but once we were inside, it really didn’t matter. When we arrived the place was packed. They could definitely use a bigger location. The atmosphere is cool if you are good with a place that’s a little loud. We were 15 minutes early for our 7:00 reservation and I’d told them it was important to me that we have a booth. They definitely could use more booths. We didn’t get seated until nearly 7:30, but the hostess repeatedly checked on us and made sure I knew she was trying. We had found enough space at the bar to order drinks, so waiting wasn’t that dig a deal. I really loved how engaged the staff was and how they kept updating us and apologizing. That’s how you deal with a situation like that and prevent people from getting upset about the wait. Our waitress, Virginia, was hilarious and delightful! When we go back I’ll ask for a booth again and ask to be in her section! She made the night so much fun. As for the food, it wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it! I saw a couple of reviews that said it was overpriced and I disagree. High quality food isn’t cheap. The oysters are a must have! They were fresh and delicious. My husband had the crab and he loved it. They had a foie gras appetizer that I had as an entrée and it was amazing, like buttery-texture melt-in-your mouth amazing! We had the mushrooms and the lobster mac and cheese. You’re missing out if you don’t try them both. Since it was Hubby’s birthday they gave him rice pudding, loved it, and we had the sea salt caramel gelato. It was really good. I definitely recommend this place. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars was the wait and how crowded it was up front. Make a reservation and be prepared for a crowd. And ask for Virginia!

Tried for lunch one day. Sat at the bar and service was good. I ordered the tuna tartar and New England clam chowder. Tuna was in a lite sauce that was very salty! It was hard to taste the fish as the sauce overpowered the tuna. The clam chowder was fine. Tasted more bacon than clam.

I recently dined at this establishment with friends who had dined prior and raved about their dining experience. I am a foodie and love all things food and frequent restaurants in every city I am in with hopes of adding it to my go to list and become a regular. On our night in question, the service was excellent and the food was good however nearing the end of our dining experience, the FOH manager not only incorrectly charged us but initially offered no explanation when he dropped the check off at the table. We called him back over to get an explanation and not only was he defensive but he was also loud and unprofessional, so much so that we had him sit down hoping it would calm him but he continued talking over us and being outwardly rude to no end. He commented«let me do simple math for you» and even told me that he can take my card and charge whatever he wanted to charge on it without needing my card again after I refused to give it back to him. Here is the simple math: The bill was $ 156 of which my friends had a $ 50 gift card. My bill totaled $ 50 and the remaining $ 56 was to be charged on my friends card that they provided. Simple math one would assume. We get our checks and I receive 2 checks with two different amounts and my friends bill was for $ 78 which should have been $ 56(the difference/remaining amount due). Long story short. It was embarrassing because those dining around us heard your rude manager continually talking over the customers and delivering rude and unacceptable comments. In the end, we were of course right and instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding he continued to offer insults. I hate writing bad reviews however this one by far has taken a toll and future patrons need to be aware. Additionally, my friends have also advised the infinity dealership where they received their gift certificate to stop patronizing the restaurant as well.

The restaurant’s ambience was upscale for a place in a Kroger shopping center but the food failed to deliver! We ordered $ 35 small portioned Red Snapper which was underwhelming and the lobster Mac n cheese was a complete joke for $ 17. I’ve made better Velveeta cheese shells at home and I think they forgot the lobster back in the kitchen. Not worth a return trip.

Tucked into an unlikely spot in a strip mall, C&S delivers. It is a great location for those looking for somewhere to grab dinner before a show at Cobb Energy. We delighted in our oysters and fish and maybe a glass of wine or two before attending an event. Great spot for seafood, excellent staff, and a nice wine list. Enjoy.

My finance and I went to the bar here on a Sunday evening to get some appetizers and apps. We had three items, the char-grilled oysters, the lobster cocktail, and 1 jumbo stone crab claw. The service was great and the number of delicious items to choose from was great. Also a great wine and cocktail menu! We had a hard time choosing for sure. We decided on the stone crab since it is stone crab season. We decided on the char-grilled oysters as this is one of my favorite dishes in New Orleans. I decided on the lobster because after the first two apps, I was still hungry, and it seemed it would pair well with my wine. The lobster cocktail tuned out to be my favorite. It was more«bang for your buck» than the stone crab claw. Don’t get me wrong, both were great, and I preferred the succulence of the crab claw, but for $ 18 you got more lobster meat than the $ 25 jumbo crab claw. The oysters were very good. I’m used to larger oysters done this way at a couple of spots in New Orleans like Drago’s and Mr. Ed’s. Also, we did have to ask for bread, which is kind of a must to soak the garlic butter out of the shell with. Overall, we had a very nice time. I definitely plan to go back and try a full meal.

Went here prior to an even at Cobb Energy Center. Very convenient location for that. Don’t let the strip mall setting turn you off. Means lots of parking! Atmosphere inside is very nice. Waitstaff very professional, but not stuffy. Perfect for a fancy date or a casual dinner. We had the shrimp and goat cheese beignets — absolutely amazing, and the steelhead crudo — delicious and super fresh. Highly recommend both! We split an entrée of black cod with the soy-chili-lime sauce. The fish was fresh and perfectly roasted. They split the entrée in the kitchen, which was nice. We each got a small piece of fish, one small roasted potato and a broccoli floret. A little less than I had hope for, but it tasted amazing. These three dishes, with one beer and one glass of wine came to a little over $ 80. So, it’s a little spendy, but that is why it has $$$. The Optimist has a broader range of small plates, but this locator worked well for our evening at Cobb Energy Center.

Originally planned to go to chops but couldn’t get a reservation so we came to C&S instead for our 4 year anniversary. That was a good decision, being young I feel somewhat uncomfortable at fine dining places but the vibe here was fine dining but alittle bit relaxed also. Dimly lit restaurant with mirror walls, Glass dividers, white ceiling, a fresh fish display, and oysters sitting on ice. We started with some little neck clams and a variety of oysters based on Taylor’s recommendation our server. The raw stuff is really fresh, some of the freshest I’ve had. Each oyster tasted unique, I especially liked the shigoku’s from the west coast. But the high light to me was the clams!!! I couldn’t stop we even had clams for desert haha. After the first set of clams the 2nd and 3rd servings the clams got much bigger for some reason, never seen little neck clams this big, but I wasn’t complaining they were briny, plump, and super fresh all you smell is slight salt water(which is what you want, no fishiness) and same with the oysters super fresh. But being raw clams are much harder to find I enjoyed them so much more. For entrée I had the Chilean sea bass in menuiere sauce, and my girl had the Parmesan crusted flounder with crab stuffing. My bass was cooked perfect super moist and melting in your mouth, same with my girls dish except hers was a lot more savory and heavy because of the crab but still amazing. There entrée are simple yet complex flavors I was throughly impressed. Even the bread that raisin bread was the bomb!!! On to the service, our server Taylor was pretty good he was strait to the point and left us alone when needed. I definitely have had better service before elsewhere but the service wasn’t bad by any mean. Only thing was it took a while for a sweet tea refill which I had to ask for. Usually they notice and refill automatically. One thing though the restaurant was so cold it was cold out side even colder inside lol. The prices are not to bad I would say there reasonable for the freshness of food. But everything was nice especially those CLAMS raw!!! We will definitely be back for the clams and the huge fresh selection of seafood!!! ***I had said it was our anniversary 4 year so was expecting something but I think the front girl forgot but next time!

Would have given 4 – 5 stars. Food was delicious. Service was horrible and what made it worse is the arrogance of the server. Order also came out wrong — onions on salad. Meat not promoted properly and no one to tell. He never even came back and refilled the water(our only drinks). We had to ask for bread, ask for the check and ask check to be picked back up and paid. It was a 75 – 80 minute lunch. the restaurant was never at more that 40−50% capacity.

I am only writing a review for what I ate, not the entire menu. Blackened shrimp tacos on the lunch menu. Two soft shell tacos with a side salad were delicious. They have a decent selection of draft and bottle beer. Indoor and outside seating. Next time I will be more adventurous and try the sea bass. Prices are indicative of a seafood joint. They are a very classy, professional yet laid back.

Excellent meal served between lunch and dinner. Bob was pleased to find Warsteiner beer on tap, I tried the Columbia Crest merlot, very nice. For my meal I tried the North Carolina flounder cooked a meuniere(in butter, lightly dusted in flour with capers) sitting atop roasted potatoes and broccoli. My husband slurped up his tuna tartar atop avocado and sitting in soy blended with something. The bread served reminded me of my mom’s raisin nut bread and also a French bread. Service was good with refills and chat and quick solving of the bill.

The food was excellent. Great job to the new chef there!!! The lighting was a little to dark as we couldn’t see the menu but managed to make it work with our cell phones. The live band was great and the ambiance was exactly what I was looking for; sexy and mature crowd having a great time. I will definitely be going back. The location is a little hard to find. It is located in the Kroger shopping plaza off of Cobb Pkwy about a mile north of Copeland’s(in the AMC theater plaza).

We saw C&S on TV(Atlanta Eats) and we were excited to go and sample the great seafood. We were early and went to the bar, great service, and found out that wine was ½ price bottles that night. Nice place and very comfortable, very upscale. We were seated 30 min after our reservations with our best friends and we were near the back near the kitchen. Noise level was pretty loud ! Hard to carry on a conversation… The food selection was good and we decided that everyone would order different dishes so we could sample several selections. I ordered Tuna and asked for it to be Blackened and cooked med rare… It came out seared and cool… My wife had the special fish of the day and it was very good. My friend ordered a Strip Steak, go figure… unfortunately is was TUFF… ok but TUFF… Service was very good and overall if was a good experience but not up tho the hype of the TV promotion. Arnold was great and came around to greet us… also gave us a complementary glass of wine to try

Pretty good seafood, interior of restaurant feels a bit old, service is very good. Location is excellent if you are going to the Performing Arts Center. What was good: 1) Lot of tasty appetizers — shrimp cocktail, Salmon tartare, tuna tartare, crab cakes, etc. 2) The fish is really good — you have choice of 3 sauces and 3 ways of preparation. We had Black Cod broiled with the spicy-garlic-soy dressing. Was really excellent. 3) Dessert is not bad either. Sorbet was very good, and so was Chocolate fondant which is served with ice cream. What could be better: 1) The gumbo was rubbish. Avoid this dish. 2) The air in the restaurant is a bit stale — I docked a star for this. If you have an open kitchen you need better ventilation.

Pretty nice. Had dinner there this evening and had the Grouper with the Calamari as appetizer. Though being located in a strip mall, once you step in, you’re translated to a really cozy ambience. Make sure you call to make reservations as it’s not very large. Staff was polite and noticed someone who looked like a chef making the rounds. Food was good but not fantastic but a nice place to hang out generally!
