The restaurant itself had an awesome environment. The burgers were some of the best tasting burgers i have ever tasted. The flavor was spectacular. The beer tap was a plus, so many to choose from not to mention the great choices. Cant wait to go back. My favorite spot in Atlanta by far. Enjoy.

Yet another restaurant closed in ATL. I went there a couple of time and the food was okay — what I hated was the space — cold, sterile, unfriendly — another restaurant that fell victim to the interior designers. Burger Tap spent a fortune remodeling this place according to some interior designers idea of urban chic — instead ending up with one of the worst interiors imaginable. Quit listening to so-called expert interior designers — build a comfortable, family friendly place. You would have spent a lot less money and maybe stayed open — as it was, no one could stand the restaurant proper — no matter how good the food was.

Burger Tap is a welcome addition to Morningside dining options. As other reviewers have mentioned, their portions are on the smaller side, but are priced accordingly. I really like this because it lets you try more options for the same amount of money. The most memorable parts of my meal were the sides. We got a bunch of them for the table and they were all delicious: normal fries, sweet potato fries, fried zuchinni, onion rings… its making me hungry just thinking about them… Their menu is simple so not at all overwhelming(good for those of us who get stressed when their are just too many options to choose from), their food tasty, their draft beer selection extensive, and their location fantastic — two thumbs up!

So we went here because you can have a dog on the back patio. I would also recommend parking behind the restaurant. They are a order first, get a number, and then wait to be served type restaurant. My impression of the food though was below average. The prices seem low until you get your small burger and side portions. The regular and Mediterranean burger and house salad we tried were bland and the burger buns were not fresh. The best item we tried were the onion rings. They have a huge selection of beer on tap and probably TV’s inside but cannot review that much on the interior as I was eating outside with my four legged friend. One nice part is that they take level up payment from your Smartphone. I tried it and it worked. Overall I, I won’t be back here that often unless I have my dog with me or I want to try their beer selection and watch sports.

Ok, one more update– I have to confess, I am starting to get a little bored of the Tap. I think it’s their limited menu. But let’s start with the good… There are still many things that I love about this place. These are: Awesome, albeit small, covered patio The super nice lady who buses tables Their dog friendliness The large flat screen TVs Lots of seats, never a wait Paying with level up Large beer selection Things that need improvement: The burgers lost a bit of flavor. I think they took down the salt and increased the amount of sauce, or something that makes the burgers taste richer but not more flavorful. Better sides. I don’t really like any of the ones on the menu, so once I tried to order two burgers instead a burger and a side and felt really gross about the overeating. Something like a salad with citrusy dressing, or some non fried side of veggies(brussels sprouts?) would be awesome. I will keep going to the Tap. I hear they have a new menu, so my hopes are high. To be fair I have been going here pretty often, but for me to give 4+ stars to a place, I really shouldn’t be getting tired of the menu. So please take it up a notch! I want to keep hanging out at your porch!!!

That was seriously the best burger I think I’ve ever had. Kind of puts Farmburger to shame. And definitely nothing comparable in Boston. I’m am enamoured of not only the burger, but of the sweet potato fries as well. I’m so glad we went there for lunch today and can’t wait to go back!

I went to the Burger Tap for the first time the other day for lunch. I was excited to see it opening a few months ago and really wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. They have a pretty decent selection of beer, which is nice. I ordered the Mediterranean Burger, which has feta, arugula and tomato is some sort of vinaigrette dressing, and caramelized onions. I personally do not like the texture of cooked onions, so I substituted raw onions for the cooked ones. The food came out relatively quickly and was really tasty. The burger wasn’t overly greasy, which was my initial concern that it might be. My friend ordered the Truffle Burger, which I took a bite of and it was heavenly! Overall, the food is good and the place is pretty comfortable. They have a lot moe seating than I thought they did at first. The back patio only has long picnic tables, which is a little weird if you are only going with one other person or so, but it was a good experience and I will totally be back again!

I really enjoyed my visit to Burger Tap: D Everything was delicious. I ordered the Southwestern burger with Fried Zucchini. The Southwestern had massive jalapeño peppers on the burger. I loved the heat from the jalapeño on my burger! If you do not like spicy foods, approach this burger with caution! It is SPICY! The fried zucchini + ranch sauce was delicious! It was perfectly battered and cooked to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised by the ranch sauce because I normally don’t like ranch, but you can taste the dill. I hear the ranch sauce is made fresh at Burger Tap. The portion size was perfect for me because I was stuffed by the end of the meal. My friend got the Classic burger, Sesame burger and sweet potato fries. She said that she preferred the classic over the sesame burger. I got to try some of her fries and their sweet potato fries were pretty good. The staff was very friendly. The wait time wasn’t long at all. Next time I go, I will have to try the truffle burger.

Tried the double truffle burger today and have to say that the flavors were VERYGOOD. I also had the fries and thought they were great too but the portion is very small. I would like to see double the side portions for the same price. When you go to five guys or boardwalk they give you too many. I think you need to fix this but the burger is one of the best around. I think the price of the double truffle burger is on the high side maybe bring it down a buck? Would like to see 1.00 pints of something every weeknight form 5 to 8. That would get me in each week to eat. Thanks

When I saw this place opening my first thought was«great, another burger place» and planned to walk by it on my way to George’s, my favorite old school burger joint. However, a colleague recommended we meet there for lunch so I went with it. I ordered the south western, which is a burger topped with a breaded jalapeño. It was one of the best burgers I ever ate. Fries were good too. I have seen a few people say the burgers are too small but the net is that they are priced right and right sized, fatty. Give this place a try, it’s outstanding.

The truffle burger here may be one of my favorite in Atlanta. And the price is right. After they make a few cosmetic changes to the atmosphere(I’ve been told they’re getting TV’s and other enhancements) this will be top 3 burger spots in Atlanta. They’ve also got some ridiculous happy hour deals e.g. $ 1 pints on Thursday Can’t say that there’s many of those in Atlanta. I just wish they’d serve you the frickin burger instead of giving you a vibrating pager — it’d be nice if you could get your food at the same time as the rest of your party.

Went to Burger Tap today as part of a Friday tradition of trying out a new burger joint every Friday. I had the ¼ SouthWest burger which has 2 fried jalapenos sitting a top the burger with some sort of bbq sauce. It was good but reminded me of a larger and tastier version of a Krystal. It was cooked well and I didn’t find it too greasy. I also ordered the sweet potato fries which I did not personally care for. First, the seemed to be a little too greasy and 2nd they were some sort of white sweet potato that wasn’t as sweet as what I am used to. Some people may like it but I just wasn’t a fan. Prices were definitely reasonable considering how much all the other boutique burgers can be. They have a good beer selection as well. Some people complained about it being«too sterile» but I didn’t see it that way. Minimalist for sure, but not sterile. I’d definitely go back but won’t go out of my way to head to that part of town.

What a mess! I NEVER have given one star to anywhere. But there’s a first for everything. It took…40 minutes… yes…40 minutes for a SMALL, over-salted, Over-Cooked, $ 5.80SLIDER, of a hamburger. I actually feel sorry for this place. WRONG location, wrong market. No empathy, no service. Its almost like a mall fast food joint. In a neighborhood village location. There were exactly 15 other people in the place when I arrived. Most of them, already served. And it still took 40 mins for my one LITTLE burger with OVERSALTER fries. They did TRY To make it up to me by giving me MORE over salted fries for free. I sent them back. I with them luck. But also wish my friends to save their $$$$$ and go elsewhere

The Atlanta market is becoming saturated with these new«boutique burger» joints and Burger Tap may be the sign that the end of this craze is near. A few buddies and I decided to try out the new Burger Tap in town the other night. The tap on the wall was impressive, but seemed out of place at a burger joint that had neither a bar nor an environment welcoming to someone looking to have a few beers and relax. The interior reflects a solid attempt to create a trendy vibe on a tight budget. The inside is bare and cold. We each ordered the classic burger, a side of onion rings, and a round of fries. The burgers are slightly larger than a Krystal but 3x the price. The order of onion rings came with a total of five rings that were mediocre at best. The fries seemed to be battered in onion ring batter and had a unique and unappetizingly sweet flavor. All three of us were very displeased with the meal, although the beer tasted like beer. I will be surprised if it’s still around this time next year.

Is this a police station or a burger joint? The bright flourescent lights above made me feel like I would have to confess my latest sins before being served. Very, bright and unflattering. No such thing as beer goggles in here! I got the classic and my friend had the truffle burger. The burger itself had no flavor and tasted like a thick piece of meatloaf. Granted, it was a large piece of beef but I at least expected something amazing considering the toppings they put on are a little hard to pronounce or see with the blinding lights in my eyes. The house spread, or as McDonalds calls it, «thousand island» they use on the classic burger was good. I ended up using it to dip my onion rings in. The onion rings are thick slabs of onions dipped in what seems like a tempura flake and fried perfectly. Aside from the large meat between two small buns(enter obvious dirty joke here) the sides saved the meal. The sweet potato fries and fried zucchini were great. Both fried items weren’t heavy or dripping in grease. Overall, Burger Tap is like any of the other burger places that seem to be popping up on every corner, a lot of good ideas but not really good follow through on the main dish-a burger. I just wish the menu had more burger options and actually cooked the meat in a seasoning rather than being hopeful it would be pulled off by the odd mix of cow they throw in each burger.

Tapped Out. It is so unfortunate that the proprietor of this establishment failed to do their homework and more over it is apparent to their customers. This is type of homework that would have been very easy: Have a burger at one of the five top burger places in town and take notes. What is working and what isn’t working at places like Flip, Yeah Burger, 5 Napkin, Farm Burger and Grindhouse. Seek out the rest like 5 guys, Wonderful World and Krystal, then do one thing — Simply make you place better or more unique. I think they skipped the class where this homework may have been assigned. First, the burgers are not good, too raw in the middle and too big for a slider and too small for it to be a meal on its own. The bun is worse, a soft rectangular dinner roll. The fries were tempura battered and fried and as much as they were described as fresh cut, they seemed too mushy and must have come directly prepared from a frozen foods purveyor. The décor is also confusing. After removing the entire contents of the old Carumba Café, they proceeded or rather attempted to build a 60′ modern house inside — albiet unfinished. The results of using too much shabby wood materials leaves the customer wondering what happened, is it finished? The paint fumes were still off-gassing. Nothing says let’s eat! — like paint fumes. the rest was just a poor use of space and to many fixed seating areas. I wish them the best of luck, but I will take anyone’s bet that they won’t occupy the space this time next year. The space is known for having high rent, the build out was to ambitious and still fell flat, limited parking and too many other burger options in this city is not a recipe for success of Burger Tap.

This was one dam good burger, I have to admit. I live in Morningside and have been going to Yeah burger, but i’ve now found another awesome burger joint. The buns are awesome(moist and sweet) and the burgers come out not round, but kinda squarish… highly recommended…

I checked out this new burger joint in Morningside last week. The first thing you notice when you walk in are the 25 beer taps. As a craft beer lover, I must say they have a few good options like Stone IPA, Heavy Seas Loose Cannon and Highland Oatmeal Porter. But I was here for a burger and maybe a Fanta. Burger Tap offers 4 different burgers. I went with the Classic Burger($ 3.80) and Onion Rings($ 2.80). The burger is round on a rectangular bun. The burger was very small, maybe the size of 2 Krystal burgers. The flavor was amazing. Very juicy… one of the better tasting burgers I’ve had at a fast casual restaurant. The Onion Rings had a nice looking batter to them but they were pretty flavorless. Not impressed. I tried my friends french fries and they were okay. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. I could not see myself hanging out in here drinking a few beers. However, I do applaud them for offering a good variety of craft beers and creating a quality burger(albeit small.) As far as service, you just order from the counter which is fine. Everyone working on the day I visited was very nice. I’m sure I’ll be back for lunch at some point.

So I tried out the latest new burger joint in town today, Burger Tap. Got the truffle burger, fried zucchini, and a drink for about $ 11. Portion size was pretty underwhelming, but the food was tasty overall. I don’t know if my palate isn’t sophisticated enough, but I didn’t notice the truffle glaze. At least, the meat was juicy, and plenty of onion strings on it. Nice soft bun, too. The fried zucchini was red hot, and I had to give it some time to cool down. A bit underseasoned, but overall was pretty good. It had definitely just come out of the fryer, and the coating was nice and crispy. Service was fine — they give you a pager while you wait. It’s a fast casual type environment. I’d put it on par with Grindhouse, Yeah, or Farm Burger. Free parking at the lot in the back or on the street. It’s on the 2nd floor if you’re coming from the back and I didn’t see any signs on that side of the building.
