Best music/​DJ I’ve heard in a while, pretty good drinks. Just a lot of old queens lol, but I still enjoyed myself.

My favorite bar in Atlanta by far. The drinks are stiff, the vibe is grown, and the staff are beyond friendly. Really a great neighborhood spot! A decent mix of ages, predominantly African American, boys night out is always a pleaser at Bulldogs!

Bulldogs has always been a great spot to attend during Pride! I actually would come every so often when I was a local however the crowd is generously mixed with age range! I would say that the Thursdays that they are known for would be the «best» day to go on. Service is great and he drinks are STRONG! What else can you ask for from a bar? **waits** Nothing! A classic!

If you want to find a good place to watch UGA Sports, this place is a fantastic University of Georgia Sports Bar. It is a great bar for anyone who like the University of Georgia Football Team. Excellent wings. Go Dawgs!

A place you can always have fun, usually go on Thursday nights for college night. Drinks are strong and dance floor is always popping.

We came here upon a recommendation from a local at another bar. This was a Thursday night. The drinks are really cheap here. I ordered a whiskey and water as well as a bud light and the total was just $ 6.
There is an outdoor section. There were people playing spades there.
In the inside, there is a small dance floor, where people were dancing.
There is also an old arcade machine with lots of older games like pac man and more obscure games.

Went here for the first time with some friends. I love the atmosphere everyone was dancing, good lights, decent music, drinks were strong. It was your typical boring club where they play music but everyone is either sitting down or standing on the wall. It was live and stayed the way, the entire time. No one was fighting, everyone was cool, I enjoyed myself. I would definitely go back.

This place sucked and the bartender was an A-​hole. I had reservations about going to begin with given what I had been told, however it was 3x’s worse than I had expected. Don’t waste your time here!

Maybe it’s just me – I am a WASP from New England — but this bar is possibly the worst gay bar in the history of gay bars. On the plus side, it’s really close to the Fox, so if you’re doing a show at the Fox (like me) you can walk there after.
That’s where the pluses stop.
There’s a $ 3 cover to get in. That doesn’t pay for anything, it just «prevents anyone from coming in off the street.» OK, fine.
Well drinks are a whopping $ 2 before 11pm on a weeknight but you have to pay cash. If you want to use a credit card you can but they will charge you a minimum of $ 20 and from there only charge you in increments of $ 10. That’s right. Increments of $ 10. The bartender will then give you cash — less 10% of the charge — and you pay with the cash you have left.
Let me say that again — the bartender will give you cash less 10% of the charge. $ 20 nets you $ 18. $ 30 nets you $ 27. $ 40 nets you $ 36, etc.
You can smoke inside this bar. Omigod, I don’t know what is wrong with Atlanta that people are still allowed to do this but the city needs to step into the new century. No one smokes anymore. At least, no one I want to make out with.
The clientele is pretty thug-​tastic. Again, this might be PERFECT for you. But if you’re gunning for a cute, trendy, philanthropic doctor this is not the bar for you.
Skip it.

As an out of towner, I do value the bars and clubs of Atlanta. Bulldog’s is one of those bars that I do enjoy going to when I make my bi-​yearly visit to Atlanta.
From the moment you enter and the cigarette smoke hits you (Bulldog’s allows smoking indoors as well as on the outdoor patio), you know that this is truly a dive bar. There are no fancy video screens, no fancy glasses for the drinks. It is just a lot of men, and a lot of strong liquor.
Move through the bar towards the back and you will find another bar and the pool table. On the weekends there are a lot of people waiting in line to play pool and a lot more people watching everyone else. The back bar is cash only.
Keep moving past the back bar and you’ll come across the patio, where a lot of people hang out, especially during the summer months. Guys go to the back to smoke, play cards, socialize, make out… that sort of thing.
Average price for a drink here = $ 6.00. An experience at this bar = Priceless.

Having been to several gay bars and clubs in Atlanta, Bulldog bar has got to be on the lower tier of bars.
Drinks are not strong, the bartenders and people running the bar seem to have a strange attitude about them. Basically, very unwelcoming. On top of that patrons (even on a weekend) are not hot.
I would skip this bar and head to the rest. Waste of time and money.

Where the eclectic gay community get’s their dance on. A typical Friday night highlights include a couple hundred black gay/​bi men dancing to hip-​hop along with a few gay-​friendly women. The club has a small dance floor, billiards area, and an outdoor patio. There’s a small cover, well worth it for the cheap drinks that await you inside. This is club is one down to earth big party with a casual dress code.

there’s a cover to get in but its well worth it. super cheap drinks once inside and amazing dancing. they play great music and the dance floor is small so its definitely intimate. definitely a fun time!
