We bought a tour on Scoutmob, and had the best morning! We got a tour of the facilities, learned about the history of B&B, and came home with a great swag bag! The roaster itself is very impressive! We got to try 4 different single origin and blend coffees. It was a great group, and Ren was amazing at sharing coffee passion!

My daughter took me here while I was visiting Atlanta. I honestly have to say this was the best coffee experience I have ever had. The atmosphere is amazing. The coffee was fantastic. What else can I say– except I cannot wait to return.

I looked at Unilocal for a coffee shop to work in and came here… not a coffee shop, but it turned into an amazing experience. Turns out they roast beans from all over the world here. Lots of them. I immediately realized my mistake when I walked in and it was an office. No baristas no coffee machines. I was embarrassed and awkwardly told the man in the office my mistake… he said as long as I was there I might as well get a tour. I followed him through a door in the back in the office in to a huge room that smelled incredible. Not like brewing coffee… roasting it. Much deeper and more aromatic. He spent the next 20 min explaining where the beans come feel and how they are roasted. Gigantic burlap sacks full of raw green beans everywhere. I was still stunned at his kindness, knowledge and passion for coffee when he walked away. He came back and handed me a bag full of beans. Very glad I wondered in here with no clue.

I am not a super«coffee person.» My stomach and palate won’t let me drink just any coffee. But I absolutely love their products and coffee. I am happy to pay the costs associated with this superior brand Really yummy and smooth(and not too acidic). I recommend to everyone that’s interested :)

My goodness. What a fantastic experience and operation this is. I’ve been a fan of Batdorf & Bronson for some time, especially Dancing Goats, but this brought my adoration to a whole new level. Actually getting the rundown and firsthand experience of roasting was amazing. The warehouse is just stacked with green coffee beans that are waiting to be roasted. It’s amazing to see how each variety has a specific origin, plan, and flavor profile. I even got to meet the roaster and see the process happen right before me. What a treat. Seeing all of the roasted beans in large barrels was so gnarly. Also, my host gave me a rundown of how roasts are achieved and what each one entails. Simply fascinating. All while sipping a cup of Italian Roast that was roasted that morning. Could life get better? Seeing the underbelly of the whole operation really gives you some perspective to being a consumer. I also had some interesting information dropped on me – Apparently, Batdorf & Bronson pays their farmers in advance before even receiving their product. Such a cool way of doing business. These guys are much more focused on the relationship and not the product itself. B&B’s business morals is a good one to learn from.

Alright so, this joint is NOT a café. I didnt know any better. I stopped in for a cup and felt like an ass. HOWever, I was welcomed in, introduced to Jason, fed a slammin’ cappuccino(on the house!) and giving a one on one tour of the roasting facility. These guys are aaaaaaaalright. The roastery is awesome, it was great to get the lowdown and a little history about Batdorf, and I arrived just in time to see the roaster dump a fresh batch of Italian roast out of their refub Probat. This was a first for me. Total nerd out mode. I was pretty psyched. And apparently Im not the only one who has fallen prey to the Unilocal review and stopped in thinking it was a shop. Just wanted to give a shout out and a special thanks to Jason for the tour and the Cap. You rock man!

These are the nicest coffee-lovers that I have ever met in my life. The Roastery is open frequently for tours. The employees are interested in more than just enjoying their own cup of coffee, and extend the welcome to those interested in learning more about the proces. While I can’t say I have ever had an espresso shot from their machines, Batdorf & Bronson coffee is the best you can find, even above Coffee Culture and Intelligensia. Dancing Goats blend is by far the best beans I’ve ever experienced. They frequently host Unilocal events, ScoutMob partnerships, and more so expect to meet community-centered folks here. Jason is the social media man as well! Be sure to get a tour when space opens up. Coffee is meant to not only be enjoyable, but communal. This company believes in that unlike any I’ve ever seen.

Fantasic coffee. I came here for ASIFA(Association Internationale du Film d’Animation) annual independent animation screening in hopes of netwoking with a few fellow animators. I wasn’t sure what to expect; the neighborhood area isn’t the greatest, the ninety degree turn from Bolton to Marietta was a witch(in turn I became a witch because by the time I turned the light turned yellow, so the person behind had to wait another 5 minutes), people were walking all over the roads and being unsafe about it, and everything sketched me out. But, once I came in to the warehouse I felt a little more at home. Hats off to B&B, they sponsored this event and gave out excellent cups of coffee. I’m a sucker for places that support and give back to the locals, especially artists like these. Thanks to Jason R. I was told that Dancing Goats is B&B’s «store», where as this location is just the roaster! :) Anyway, the baristas and coffee were the best around. So nice, so gracious… they made me feel really special and at ease, even though I didn’t know anyone there. Really, I felt like the princess I was named after. No offense, but I probably would have rather conversed with these guys than some of the fellow animators around, shh! ;) They knew what they doing… I’m definitely coming back for more to get to know these people better and their ideals revolving around their coffee and methods. If only they had their own shop, I’d call them my favorite! Sorry Octane, your coffee is good but B&B’s is better.

See that little star with the Announcement under the store address? It says«Open for Roastery tours throughout the week! Contact Jason to schedule». Well have ya called Jason to schedule yet? I did. After going to the Unilocal Elite event(which was fantastic) and talking to Jason, I was told several times that I was welcome anytime to stop by and do another tour of their roasting between 7−10am, which is their daily roasting time. I am so glad that I finally got my act together and coordinated for my friends to come with me this morning. Seriously. If you are a coffee lover and you genuinely care about good tasting coffee, pure ingredients and anything from farm-roast-brew-drink process, then you should check this out. Why? because: 1. Its free. Just let them know you are coming(and at what time) 2. You get to see them in action, they answer all your questions(and I had tons). 3. You get to see Jason brew, which he is famous for(and he does it every week at the Dancing Goat). 4. You get to learn how to roast and brew coffee CORRECTLY, for those of us that like to do it at home(instead of spending the cash at coffee shops) 5. You get to try their coffee. No, not a mini-sip. A cup. Or, lots of them, which is desperately needed when you are there at 8am like me. 6. Did I mention its free? I had an absolutely wonderful time. and surprisingly enough, my «i’m not a Unilocal snob like you!» friends who were barely awake LOVED it too — Partially because they live out of coffee(college students) and partially because they are geeks like me and love to see how things are made, especially tasty things. Props to Jason and the B&B staff for spending so much of their time(we were there for almost 2 hours) answering our questions, feeding us coffee and just hanging out. We were lucky that the owner was in town(from Olympia) and decided to sit down with us for some coffee and conversation. They both taught us a lot about organic farming, how the coffee business works and great places to try in Atlanta. So if you can manage to come in a liiiitle later to work than usual, I would take the chance to do the tour. No complaints here, it was a perfect start to my morning. Oh yeah. I’m still jittery. vvvery jittery.

I can honestly say that I had the best cappuccino ever at Batdorf. I am terrible with names but the guy did an outstanding job; and I loved the cute little heart that was made with the milk foam. But the taste! It’s all about the taste! It was absolutely fantastic. Strong yet smooth = perfection. I have had Dancing Goats coffee once before when a co-worker brought it into the office to share and I can honestly say that it will be my new coffee of choice. The folks at Batdorf should be extremely proud.

Man, these guys rock. I first learned about them when I worked at Ria’s Bluebird in Grant Park. They are based in Olympia, Washington, but they have a roastery right here in Atlanta. You can’t get fresher than that! Imagine a warehouse full of prime green coffee beans getting roasted to perfection right here in the Atl. I’ve been using them for espresso beans where I work and my coworkers couldn’t be happier. Would definitely recommend the Omar’s or Bohemian Blend for whole bean selections. They also have a cool little coffee shop named Dancing Goats in Decatur. My customer service has been awesome and my rep Sally Califf is really great. She helps inform me about my coffee choices and has great customer service. The guys over at B&B really go the extra mile to ensure that you stay informed about what great coffee is all about, flavor and fair trade.

When we don’t have time to roast our own beans, we buy this coffee from Whole Foods, Alons, Star Provisions or Peachtree Farmers Market. We buy Omars Blend, Dancing Goats and Bohemian Blend.
