«Yup. I told him if he didn’t bite the hygienist, I’d take him for ice cream.» — The Big Bang Theory, Season 6, Episode 2 Sometimes you just want some old fashioned green as the grinch mint-chip ice cream. When you have a craving, you have to deal with it. Luckily for me, there is a B&R, 31 Flavors, Bird’s Nest in my ‘hood. Okay, so these are all the names I called it as a kid and, in fact, still do when I talk to my mom. This location is tucked away in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center where parking is an absolute nightmare and you wished you had ridden your bike or walked every time you drive into this mad house — but then you realize you are stuck with this giant hunk of steel and have to figure out where to park. Honestly, the guy who designed this parking lot should be drawn and quartered. I digress. The staff in this location is friendly and was quick to point me to the«pints» in the freezer case when I walked in looking for Chocolate Peanut Butter and Mint Chocolate Chip. To be fair, the pre-packed containers are really quarts, but in a world of Ben & Jerry’s, everything is really a pint. They had a ton of flavors to choose from, but I had been craving a couple. My plan had been to get the chocolate PB and a scoop of mint chip — but then was told there was a deal for 2 quarts for $ 9.99 and that sealed the deal. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes — quick transaction and I had to wait for a gentleman in front of me to get two scoops. That’s pretty good service, if you ask me. Also, they have plenty of ice cream cakes ready for purchase if you are in a pinch — also a great thing to know ahead of time. BTW, in case you were wondering… I called it the Bird’s Nest because I always thought my brother was saying«Basket of Robins» when he was asking to go for ice cream when we were little.

From someone who has worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years, I have never received such horrendous customer service until today from John who advised that he was the manager at store# 360574. I placed my cake order over the phone on Friday, 4⁄10 and then received a call the next day that they would need me to come in that very day with the personalized train I chose. He made no mention that they would be unable to decorate the cake exactly like the picture. He said that he would need the train in order to decorate around it which made sense to me. On Sunday, 4/12, my husband picked the cake up and it obviously did not look anything like the advertised cake picture(picture added). Please note that no discount was offered and no mention of the lack of decorative items would not be included on the cake. When I received the cake, I called John at the Peachtree Battle, 2335 Peachtree Battle Rd, Atlanta, GA location and upon explaining my dissatisfaction with the cake, he rudely interrupted me and said«Can I talk? Can I talk?». He didn’t even allow me to explain what I was unhappy about and blamed me after claiming he said he told me that none of the decorative items would be included on Saturday. Please have someone review his lack of cake decorating skills and lack of customer service skills. This was my very first time ordering a cake at Baskin-Robbins and I have never been so unhappy with my entire cake ordering experience. I have never been treated so poorly as a paying customer expecting a product a certain way and never receiving the product that I was promised. Update on 4÷17÷15: The owner called on Tuesday, 4⁄14 and left a voicemail. I called back on Thursday, 416(left voicemail) and followed up on Friday, 4⁄17. I noted that I was still unhappy about the situation and asked for a refund. He said that he doesn’t offer refunds after the cake has been consumed, and only offered coupons. When I called John at the store on Sunday, 4⁄12 he did not offer an exchange, additional decorations or a refund so I’m escalating this issue further with Corporate Baskin Robbins to handle instead of the owner. I’m an advocate for paying for goods and services that is promised to you in the way the customer wants it, by the date and time that was agreed upon. I’m horribly disappointed that the owner and the manager of this store does not understand this concept.

Haven’t been here in quite some time. Great ice cream! Welcoming, friendly, and jovial staff. Good selections and toppings if you like that.

I miss it being called 31 flavors v. baskin robbins but hey I’m not complaining :) The rainbow sherbet is quite possibly my favorite thing ever omg. Also a fan of the pralines n crème, and chocolate peanut butter.

I have lived all over the country and have been going to BR for 40+ years. It’s my favorite ice cream hands down. My issue with this location is not the quality of the ice cream or the friendly staff, it’s the obvious ownership mandate that they serve the skimpiest scoops I have ever seen. We just left there and for $ 15(only $ 5 less than what we paid for an awesome dinner for 3 next door at Jalisco) we had three kids scoop cones. I laughed when I saw the scoops — they were less than ¼ cup size– for almost $ 5 each… Every time I go there the scoops get smaller! The prices are the highest I have ever seen at a BR franchise and that includes in high other high income areas such as Los Angeles and New York. The BR that was part of Dunkin Dounuts on Roswell Road was terrific and served appropriate sized scoops — too bad the DD is gone. Someone please open another BR so when you pay $ 5 per scoop of ice cream it doesn’t make you feel ripped off!

It’s a pretty good feeling to stroll over to BR after a meal at Zoes or Jalisco and grab some really good ice cream. This location is always busy and the staff are very helpful. I love the classics and the new flavors they always experiment with.

Truly top quality ice cream. REAL ice cream you know, not that«frozen yogurt» crap everyone seems to be selling these days. Friendly staff. Only down side is they ask if you want to put a tip on your credit card and it kinda puts you on the spot if you weren’t planning to.

Nothing can compare to the lemon custard ice cream at baskin robbins. It’s my favorite ice cream in the world. To my dismay, I just found out they will hand pack it and you can order it by the pint, quart, or the gallon. I must stay away…

What? A Facelift for my childhood ice cream love, Baskin Robbins?! Yes! And it is a darn good one. We always went to this particular BR when I was growing up(and everyone’s comments about ice cream cakes? spot-on! the best!) and I always got the same thing: a scoop of mint chocolate chip(on the top) and one of chocolate chip(on the bottom, because I like it the bestest, and I always wanted to save it for last!), even though it was too much ice cream for a little girl! Last week, I got inspired to stop into this old favorite spot and get some hand-packed quarts to go. They have the same delicious choc(and mint!) chip as always — with teeny little«chips,» almost like broken up Magic Shell! This is when I saw the impressive upgrades! Sleek, new, with a cool«toppings counter»(and a schmancy fro yo machine).. . but still the same freezer case of cakes, and the same«catalogue» of cake choices if you want to order a custom pick! Ah, it made me feel happy inside — how often do you get progress, and tradition?!

This is no average chain ToGo/Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins, this is the real deal, a real ice cream shop. This is the ONLY place to get an ice cream cake in Atlanta, they are just the best!

Chances are, most Unilocalers have been to Baskin Robbins at least once in their lives… am I right? This chain is massive and stretches all across the US. While the cones and sundaes are delicious, I’d prefer to go some place else to fulfill those cravings. However, the four stars are for the ridiculously good ice cream cakes. They blow similar desserts out of the freezer! If you are a fan of ice cream cake, find a reason to buy one from Baskin Robbins immediately. Valentine’s day? President’s Day? Perfect.

There will always be a place in my heart(and tummy) for this ice cream establishment. Four well-deserved stars for nostalgia and childhood memories.
