Surprisingly, there’s no sign for this place, but it’s located right next to Kale Me Crazy. There are street parking along the roads in this area or you can valet park your car for convenience. I came here around 7pm on a Tuesday night and they weren’t too busy. I was seated quickly. We ordered the chorizo + sweet and sour figs, spicy eggplant caponata, hanger steak, whipped sheep’s cheese, and beef tongue. It is great that their menu changes so that you can try new dishes when you come back and dine with them. Everything was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by the sheep’s cheese. I’m normally not a huge fan of cheese, but this was really smooth and creamy(addicting with the bread they give you). I also enjoyed the eggplant, which is actually a cold dish. It was very flavorful and not too spicy at all. I’ve never had beef tongue outside of a Japanese BBQ place so it was great to try Barcelona’s beef tongue. The outer edges were crispy but the tongue itself was very tender. At the end of our meal we got the crepes as dessert. This was decent. I especially liked the chocolate sauce(dark chocolate!) and the ice cream, but thought the texture and taste of the actual crêpe was just alright. Overall, food was amazing, the waitress and waiters were friendly, and the tapas cost about ~10 per dish. Our bill came out to be about $ 60 before tip for the two of us. I would love to come back and try their other dishes!

My wife and I went to Barcelona on my birthday and it was an incredible experience. We had a small mishap the first time we came and the manager Patrick assured us he would make things right so we would get the true Barcelona experience. He delivered. Our waiter Daniel Dice guided us through our meal like he was conducting a symphony. The charcuterie plate was excellent. The Serrano ham was cured perfectly. The manchego and jamon croquetas were pillows of perfection. The octopus was absolutely blissful. The hanger steak was so tender I don’t think I even chewed it. The deserts were incredible and the flight of bourbon rounded off the meal. I haven’t had a wonderful dining experience like this since I dined at Wolfgang Pucks in Vegas.

In town for a few days. Drove by this place the night before then did a little research. Wine list attracted us as well as previous reviews and the outdoor seating area. Arrived at 7pm on a warm Friday evening and the place was hardly busy. Settled in a small outside table for 4. An hour later the large restaurant was packed inside and out. Lots of servers; active environment. Our two servers’ wine knowledge seemed limited, but they were professional and helpful. We were able to sample taste several wines before ordering which was nice. The four in our party ended up ordering 16 separate tapas. All were good to excellent and enough food for a decent sized meal. Tapas came in waves of 2 or 3 at a time as the small, crowded table could not hold more items. It became a bit rushed even tho we asked our server to slow it down. Outside street side table was enjoyable; lots of street activity in the area. Overall a very good experience.

I have had my eye on Barcelona Wine Bar for quite a while now, but it was always difficult to make the drive out to Inman Park. My birthday was coming up, so I decided why not host it here. I called in 2 weeks early to make a reservation for 13 people. Barcelona gave me a party menu of $ 25 per person, which was very generous of them since their cheapest party menu is usually $ 35 per person. I had called back the night before my birthday to confirm that the party menu was going to be $ 25. The manager that night told me that it was impossible & he could not do a set menu for me. I was pissed because it was the day right before my birthday. I ended up calling them back on my Birthday to see if they could do a $ 25 set menu for me. A different manager spoke to me and told me it was no problem. I was ecstatic because I really did not want to look for another restaurant on such short notice & I really wanted to see what Barcelona had to offer. I am one of those horrible people who is late to everything. Graduation and even my own birthday dinner. I would like to blame traffic for the reason why I was late that day and everyone in my party. lol its hard to make it out to Inman park by 6:30 during Atlanta rush hour on a Wednesday! The host was very accommodating when I told her we were all going to be late. My party of 12 turned into a party of 9. I started the night off with the Rioja Flight, which consisted of three wines: Murua /Koden /Vina Alberdi. I enjoyed all of them. I also sampled one of my gfs cocktails, which had bourbon in it. Not a fan of bourbon, but I really enjoyed her drink. We all decided to do the $ 25 set menu. At first, I was super nervous about if the portions were going to be enough to feed 9 people. It definitely was! The tapas that came out include: –Spinach-Chickpea Cazuela: –Scallops a la Plancha: The scallops were a little undercooked, but that’s how I like it. –Hanger Steak: Delicious. You must try this one! It just melts in your mouth. –Spiced Beef Empanadas: One of my favorites. –Potato tortilla: It reminded me of a fluffy egg. –Mushrooms a la plancha: Sauteed mushrooms. –Potato Bravas: The aioli complemented it so well. –Gambas al Ajillo: Very juicy shrimp. They gave us an amazing array of desserts as my birthday platter. We were able to try the Churros Y Chocolate, crepes, Warm Chocolate Hazelnut Indulgence, and the Panna Cotta. The champagne was complementary and they also included a pink candle on it. THANKYOUSOMUCH, Barcelona Wine Bar for making my 23rd Birthday so special! From the service to the food, I could not have had a better birthday. A big thanks to our amazing server, Hayley & the manager, Dennis for making my night so memorable. I will definitely be back in the future and I recommend it to all of you. Barcelona knows how to do Birthdays right! There are over 600 reviews for a reason. I am so glad I was able to experience Barcelona Wine Bar. The tapas remind me of the tapas in Barcelona.

Ok so I came here with one thing in mind: paella. Last time I had paella was about 4 years ago in Singapore and it was so delicious! So after I picked up my boyfriend at the airport, we went straight here. MAKE A RESERVATION! Or you will have to wait for a table for a while… There’s a free valet on the side road(ask the waiter to validate it), but you can also park on the parking garage or spots by the street for free. Now they specialize in tapas and wine, but we ended up ordering the shareable plates: seafood paella and the beef rib eye. Rib Eye was enormous, fall-off-the-bone quality meat, served with some cuts of vegetables. The paella was pretty good too although it seems to be under seasoned as I taste mostly just tomato flavors from the rice. They do give you an okay portion with good amount of seafood though. One thing I really enjoy was the service and the great wine list. At the end the waiter also gave us a recommendation card and gave us this wooden coin valid for 1 free glass of wine for next visit, so that was very nice!

The location in Inman Park makes for a great outdoor dinner. This is your classic Spanish tapas. It’s good. It really is. However, we had relatively bad service, but the other waiters and waitresses picked up the slack. If spanish tapas is what you are in the mood for, Barcelona is the best place for it.

I’m very impressed by Barcelona. The service was fantastic. I believe we had around 2 waiters who were very attentive and very knowledgeable about the drink and food selection. My dad and I got beers on tap(both local) while my mom and brother ordered margaritas. Before the food arrived, we were given bread that was lightly toasted. Here’s a list of what we ordered and some thoughts: — Scallops a la Plancha: Well done scallops — Hanger Steak: The waiter recommended this. Good hanger steak but nothing to rave about — Spinach-Chickpea Cazuela: My parents loved this dish. — Patatas Bravas: Some of the best patatas bravas I’ve ever had. Garlic aoli is amazing on anything it seems. — Grilled Asparagus — Arugula Salad —(Two) Chicken Pimientos: This dish was so good, we had to order a second. The chicken is very flavorful with some spice from the sauce. The roasted potatoes are a great addition to the dish. I can’t wait to come back here. I loved the ambiance, service, and food. It’s nice to come back to Atlanta. I love the food in San Francisco, but Barcelona beats out many restaurants in SF.

Quite a popular restaurant we discovered on Unilocal and also reviewed on Peachtree TV. The actually experience was a little less than exciting. We decided to visit the place with a friend visiting from Canada. I understand that the concept of tapas is lots of different dishes in small quantities. Well, this place took it too far. Please do not order to Salmon to share even though the menu says it is to share. It is clearly not. Very very delicious, mind you, but the portion is v small. Smoked trout is a huge disappointment… huge… i could not believe it was what i had ordered for. The Seafood pallea was the winner and we absolutely loved it. The lamb sliders were good too… the spinach in Chick peas was an unusual dish but surprisingly tasty. All this was doused with a pitcher of Red wine Sangria. Enjoyable, thanks to the bartender. Good place for a nice Sunny day… pricy for the food that it serves. Am torn but i may not visit again. :/

Having studied abroad in Spain for ten weeks, my friend and I decided to relive those memories by enjoying some tapas here for lunch. We picked the croquetas and patata bravas off their lunch tapas and the lemon-ricotta pancakes and brioche french toast off their brunch tapas. Each one was delicious and very flavorful! I definitely recommend sharing so you can try multiple tapas! The service was very friendly and the restaurant had a neat area outside with a large fireplace. Since this is a tapas place, note that if you come here extremely hungry you will spend more money than you mean to so eat something beforehand!

Well, looks like the oppty to actually eat here and give it a real review took place much sooner than I expected. Kudos to the manager Michael, for 1) paying attn to his reviews and 2) setting about very quickly to improve a situation. The morning after I posted my experience trying to make a large party reservation, he reached out to me to explain why they sometimes had a food & bev minimum and that he’d be happy to accommodate our large party. Our actual experience this past Saturday was a very delightful one. Unlike many places who will sometimes require a bit of a wait to actually seat a large party upon arrival, we were seated immediately and without the need for everyone to be there(good thing too as we had a few stragglers). We were seated on the patio near the fire place, and the only complaint was that it was a little crowded on the side that had small stool type seating as there is another table directly across who had someone already there. Regardless the actual table was much larger than needed for our party so we were able to be seated quickly and comfortably. We had 2 waiters throughout the evening who provided great service, and the only hiccup was a drink order not showing up that was likely due to the bar being overwhelmed. They had no issues allowing us to order individually and not from an optional group menu and order we did, between us all trying most of the various tapas offerings. Michael stopped by several times, at first to welcome us and then to check in to make sure everything was going well. On top of that they brought out 2 plates of 4 different tapas on the house to get things started before what we ordered started showing up. Just about everything I had I remember well, and enjoyed. Notably excellent were the calamari, hangar steak, and cold egglant dish. Other assorted musings and observations: — place was packed, had a very festive atmosphere and quite loud if you were to sit inside — it got a bit chilly, even by the fireplace when the wind picked up, they actually had these faux bear skin blankets for the ladies that they brought out w/o asking which I thought was a very nice touch — they were reluctant to separate the tab at the end of the night, and we didn’t press them to due to the # we had; I was surprised they didn’t add gratuity for such a large party All in all, very glad Michael reached out, and even more glad we stopped in for my birthday dinner. Will definitely be back in the future.

Inman Restaurant Week couldn’t have come soon enough. I have made plans to eat at Barcelona several times but this was the first time they were actually coming to fruition. My friend made the reservation, but mistakenly signed us up for some cooking class. The hostess quickly fixed it and scrambled to find us a table. After a 5 minute wait, we were being escorted to our table. We chose to sit outside(shorter wait), although with the sun set, it was starting to get a little chilly. Thankfully, they switched on the outdoor heating and it wasn’t unbearable. It was Restaurant Week, so we could get 4 tapas for $ 25! However, with 4 people, we didn’t want to share 16 tapas among us, since there weren’t THAT many tapas that we wanted to try. We decided to do 2 people ordering 8 tapas and 2 people ordering paella. Our server gladly welcomed the idea. I started out with a white sangria. I usually order red, but the server assured me their white was much better. I wasn’t convinced, but after taking a sip, I was instantly converted. I should have ordered a pitcher of white sangria for myself. We received complimentary bread — nothing special, but we asked for extra to dip in our mussel broth. It took a long time — which we noted was due to the inability to defrost the bread… We got three baskets of bread. The first basket was perfectly warm, the second basket’s bread was ice cold in the middle, and the third one took 30 minutes to emerge from the back. They were clearly not prepared to serve so much bread on a Wednesday night of Inman Park Restaurant Week. The tapas we tried were: Steamed Mussels — we got two orders of these and were glad to have done so. These were delicious. The BROTH though. It seemed to be missing a little bit of spicy kick, but I could have picked up the bowl and drank it all by itself. Delicious and a must order. Hanger Steak — of course we didn’t get two orders of these just because they were the most expensive tapa… Lies. But it was pretty tasty. Nothing mind blowing, though. Red Fish a la Plancha — now we wish we had gotten two orders of this one. Out came a bite size portion of a beautifully cooked piece of fish. We each got a tiny taste but it wasn’t satisfying. Albondigas — nothing special. It was just elevated meatballs with tomato sauce. Gambas al Ajillo — slightly overcooked but some tasty shrimp. Wish it came with more than just two shrimps. Flavor was on point. Chorizo with Sweet & Sour Figs — the figs were sweet. And the chorizo was salty. Together it made for an addicting combination. Not bad. The paella took a while after we finished our tapas. But it was well worth the wait. It was piping hot and filled with seafood. Not the best paella I’ve had but even on a mostly full stomach I was aching for more. A great dish for sharing. We really struggled over getting a dessert but in the end decided against it, thinking we could get gelato from Queen of Cream — turns out they close at 10 and we had just missed their closing. Next time! Long story short(ok not short at all), Barcelona is a great tapas restaurant in the Inman Park area — dare I say the best tapas downtown. If only it were $ 25 for 4 tapas year-round! I would totally come back here for a chill night: a pitcher of sangria, a few orders of mussels and a pan of paella.

We decided to eat here on the way to an event in midtown. There was a line to get in, so we opted to sit street side on Highland. Parking was simple, there was free valet parking in the deck across the street. The tables were really crammed but we all managed to fit in. Service was extremely slow, but in all fairness it was super busy. Not to mention, the manager came over to inquire about the speed of our order and brought out the drinks for us. The food took so long, I didn’t have a chance to eat dinner… But I did get to sample some of the tapas from the table and there were sooooo good. Great selection of cheeses and braised meats, and the olives were to die for I will try to come back at less peak hours

Came here with a friend for Inman park restaurant week. Since we made a reservation, we were immediately seated. The place was packed on a Saturday! Definitely recommend making reservations especially if going with a large group. First of all, I love the atmosphere of the restaurant! We got a table on the patio. The patio is intimate, casual, yet still elegant. It is just beautiful in general. It’s great location for a romantic date or just hanging out with a group of friends. They even have blankets if you get cold! The food was overall pretty good. My favorites were the hanger steak, chorizo with sweet & sour figs, and the gambas. I know this is a tapas restaurant and portions are suppose to be small, but I think Barcelona’s tapa portions are much smaller than that of other tapa restaurants’. Each dish is more so a «bite». I don’t know if the dishes are normally this size or if it was just for restaurant week but I was a little disappointed. Still would like to come back here but what sold me was definitely the beautiful atmosphere and the great location in the heart of Inman Park, not so much the food.

Barcelona is always one of my favorite cities in this planet. You can guess that I held an high expectation and waited years. I waited until Inman Park restaurant week to try Barcelona. They were such a surprise for me. While they can make ordinary dishes great, it also has abundant novel choices if I ‘m tired of normal combinations. That’s how a five-star restaurant should do. These are my favorites that I remembered: BOQUERONES: Fresh Anchovies dipped with vinegar, olive oil and some parsley. The flavor was very delicate. CRISPYPIGEARS: Cut pig ears to slices and fry them. Very gorgeous! Tastes better than french fries. HAMACHICRUDO: The best sashimi you can get in this restaurant. Again, fresh fresh tuna paired with mango. CHORIZESWITHSWEETANDSOURFIGS: Chorizes(pork sausage) are the best when figs’ sweet and sour soaked in. It’s a magic recipe. Figs are too sour for me. We also ordered others to taste. They were still great, but compare to those above, they were not as awesome as them. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any dishes. They also have a booklet of wines and a wine store across the street. How good is that! Friday night is very hectic for them. Be sure to reserve online, or prepare to wait.

This is my 2nd time being here, last time was a weekday lunch. Never realize how popular this legendary place truly is until tonight, April 1st dinner time… the biggest waiting line I’ve ever seen in my ATL dining experience… WOW! People are really willing to wait for the best money value food for more than 1.5hrs! SOOO Glad I made a reservation in advance for this restaurant weekend. It’s a beautiful bar/eatery mix, the outdoor seats alongside the pedestrian probably gonna be the best tables if you are on a date and wanna have good conversations; since it is so noisy and crowd inside! We need to shout out loud to each other on the same table, well, if you prefer this style, it would be great too… ****Food**** Try everything! everything!!! They are all so delish! We have 5 ppl in the group, so we had 20 plates like 12 different types, we wish had more flavors to try later on… the seafood ones are so impressive and the most fun dish we all voted«Pig Ear Fries», it is a must have, especially we dipped them into the meat ball sauce… oh man, fall in love with it. Now we know Barcelona keeps winning the Best Tapas in ATL for quite a few years! We can taste out the whole kitchen team devote themselves into prep and selection of the best quality/most fresh ingredients. ****Service**** Unbelievably fantastic! Two Mikes, Mike B & Mike N, our waiters, they are super nice and professional. I mean, we can understand on such a busy weekend night + restaurant week promotion, it would be overwhelmed to the service team, however, they did an excellent job. All the staff run around and respond very fast, I’m pretty sure the management got it’s way to treat people work here really good and the staff are getting used to the overwhelming popularity so that they can totally handle crazy busy nights very well. Since some of us need to drive after eating, we didn’t order drinks(which I will def try next time, the wine menu got so many choices!) Bring your friends/family/date here, they gonna love it here. I would come back, really soon!

Barcelona offers a wide selection of tapas. My favorites include: spinach-chickpea cazuela(great), spiced beef empanadas(very tasty), patatas bravas(they’re comforting potatoes, but they won’t knock your socks off) and gambas al ajillo(outstanding and very flavorful garlic shrimp). Some that are so-so include: hanger steak, roasted beet and pomegranate salad(served messy on a wooden board) and albondigas(meatballs). For the adventurous eaters, pig ears, beef tongue and more are on the menu. The rich, flourless chocolate cake is served hot and with ice cream(tip: ask for bits of hazelnut for added textural contrast because the dessert needs it). It’s divine. Some other desserts, like the layered crêpe-like one, aren’t that great. It’s like eating cold pancakes, and it has no wow factor. The bar is visually stunning, and the atmosphere is dark-ish and beautiful with lots of wood everywhere. The wait can be long at times, but this is a cool spot that’s definitely worth a try. It seems as though it would be great for group seating, if you plan ahead.

Barcelona is a great place if you are in to tapas/small plates and a good, relaxed vibe. I’ve come twice now and both times had a great experience. Extra points given because you could sit outside with your pooch and they even bring them water. The first time I came, I drove and was lucky to find parking on the road. The second time, I was walking on the Beltline and decided it was time for lunch. Both times we had no wait and great service. A tad bit expensive but overall worth it. On my first visit, I was actually really disappointed by the Paella. I’m from Miami and have eaten paella all my life. What I was served, was no where near the paella I’m used to. It was over cooked; hard and dry. It tasted like Chinese Fried rice, it wasn’t even yellow! For the price I thought It was going to be big and tasty and it was the complete opposite; small and lackluster. However, all the small plates we ordered and our bottle of wine were excellent. On my second visit, I ordered a glass of their Chardonnay from Chile($ 11) and when I received it, the glass was filthy. Food particles at the bottom of the glass and the glass was completely covered in smudge marks. I let the server know, he apologized and promptly replaced it. Their complimentary warm bread came out quick and boy is it good with or without olive oil. We ordered sweet & sour figs w/chorizo, calamari, empanadas, two orders of the manchego croquetas, spinach and chicpeas stir fried and brussel sprouts. No complaints here, stand out dishes were the manchego croquettes, sweet and sour figs and empanadas. The croquettes are to die for and the combination of the chorizo and the fig is phenomenal. If I lived closer, I would be a regular. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy tasty food :)

They make an outstanding gimlet as well. Fun restaurant & exceptional staff. Smoked trout — amazing! Hanger steak — Perfection — I could eat 4 orders. Meatballs– very delicious Potato something with chives — super delicious. Kale salad — unique & fresh. So good. Figs & chorizo– so good. Awesome area, excellent service, fun vibe. I like the concept of this place, along with the variety & the vibe. Good music, diverse crowd, good drinks. I think the cheese & charcuterie plates are like adult versions of lunchables! I tried a litany of things on the menu & the blistered shishuto peppers stood out, along with the cauliflower cazuela, the manchengo + jamon croquettes, and the spinach chickpea cazuela. For my friends on restrictive diets, it can be hard to find something substantive on the menu. The set-up can make it difficult to hear other diners at your table & the space can become tight rather quickly. Parking is pretty easy with the garage lot across the street. I’m not sure if the validate parking or not. I need to come back during warmer months to enjoy the patio tables & really soak in the entire experience. And I didn’t even try the paella yet! Next time!

Great atmosphere here. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The food came in a timely manner and was DELICIOUS. Even the bread and olive oil was fantastic. Service was very friendly and prompt. Favorites: mushroom plancha, sheep’s milk cheese, duck two ways. The table we sat at was a little wobbly but staff saw us trying to fix it ourselves and helped. Also the café americano was lukewarm and when we told her she immediately replaced it and took it off the bill. For more upscale dining, the atmosphere was not pretentious at all which was great. Highly recommend!

Even when I made the reservation, the gentleman on the phone was so sweet and so accommodating! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced for the high quality and the wine list was on point! We bought three bottles for the table and it was perfect! We had a party of seven and split our checks and Jared was so patient with us and so kind! He is the epitome of excellent service! The ambiance was excellent with unique high table booths and great lighting and a beautiful bar! Also on Monday nights it’s half price bottles of wine! Amazing! But the best part of all of it was the insanely impressive customer service! I was so impressed! Thanks so much for a great night! We will definitely be back!

This place is a scene. It’s reminiscent of what Buckhead used to be before that night life was erased – a certain rush of frenetic, celebratory activity. But first I’m going to point out my criticisms of this Barcelona, and then I’ll talk about the things that impressed me. First: Barcelona seems to be a victim of its own success. Lines out the door with hordes of people anxiously awaiting some space to sit and be part of the scene. So *make reservations*. We had reservations, but Barcelona won’t seat you until your entire party arrives. Last one in gets a rotten egg.(Not really.) It’s standing room only around the bar. Sometimes people aren’t so accommodating if you need them to move(and you’re on your way to the restroom). It was crowded. And loud. The kind of loud where someone turns up the music on the PA so you can hear it above the loudness, and of course, everyone gets louder to be heard above the music. Loud. So. Freaking. Loud. Second: The timing of events seemed to suffer from some weird delays. For instance, it was a LONG time between the finish of our last dish and the ability to even ask for a dessert menu. And then dessert took a long time to reach the table. The entire rhythm of the thing seemed off. I had to think the long line of people maybe wouldn’t be so long if some of the table-side issues could be ironed out. OTOH, it’s also clear that staff has a LOT to do amid all that buzz, especially elbowing one’s way through seas of waiting patrons who don’t want to move out of your way. That being said, the food we had was outstanding. And the drinks were very good. True to their name, Barcelona keeps a serious wine list, and the servers seem to get some training on the things that are on the menu. The sangria is seductive. Among the small plates we tried, a few things really outshone everything else on the table: Duck Two Ways — one of the best things on the table that evening. Slices of duck and with a wing(or something) on top of some really delicious potato hash. The ham & cheese croquettes, which have a much fancier name on the menu, were my favorite thing on the table. They needed more ham, but were delicious. The mushrooms were an exercise in simplicity and deliciousness. The calamari was fried very lightly and served with a tasty aioli.(I think it was an aioli.) And I also liked the Spinach & Chickpea dish. One of us called it «spinach hummus.» Tasty. By comparison, the Brussel sprouts(which were delicious) seemed average compared to the things I just listed. Same with the Hanger Steak(the most expensive small dish). Again, it tasted good, but it didn’t stand out among the others. Now the desserts blew us all away. We stopped *this short* of ordering everything on the dessert menu. Instead we ordered three: The Warm Chocolate Hazelnut Indulgence was served with a raspberry sauce & coconut ice cream. Total crowd pleaser. The Churros Y Chocolate, served with a dark chocolate dipping sauce, was perhaps my favorite dessert. The churros were very light, and I had to restrain myself from licking dark-chocolate sauce out of the bowl. The Crepas Salguero is a very close second favorite for me. Filled with Dulce de Leche and served with chocolate cauce & vanilla ice cream. It didn’t even need the ice cream. In fact, they should just leave the ice cream off and give me another crepa. We need to go back and try one of the larger, «for sharing» dishes. It says they take a little while to prepare those, so we’ll probably get there while it’s still daylight… Holler if you’re coming with.

Ah, Spanish tapas — definitely one of my favorite eating formats. Why limit yourself to the flavor profile of a single entrée when you can mix it up with a number of shareable tapas(the Spanish equivalent of appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, dim sum, or mezze)? So, where to begin with the immense number of offerings? To whet the appetite, we started with the Piquillo Confit. The marinated peppers were delicate, soft, and flavorful. We moved on the Chorizo with Sweet & Sour Figs. Definitely an interesting pairing, especially with the balsamic glaze that had been drizzled on it. Difficult to describe… perhaps a not too distant cousin from one of my favorite foods, bacon-wrapped dates, but more tangy. Next up, hanger steak topped with truffle vinaigrette. Oh my, that is what a steak should taste like. Perfectly cooked. Why can’t expensive steakhouses get this right? Excellent. Then, Patatas Bravas — truly a classic and very common Spanish tapas. Here, it was executed better than anywhere else I had ever tried it. The garlic aioli was creamy and strong. The salsa bravas was spicy, but not overly so. Impressive. Branching out a bit, we also tried the grilled venison with berries and roasted shallot. An interesting, delicate presentation. To our delight, Barcelona offered a Rioja wine flight. I have come to adore the quality wines of the La Rioja region of Spain. Typically, they offer a complexity of a fine French wine for less than half the cost. Here, I sampled three different expressions of fine Rioja wines. Overjoyed. On the night of our visit, a Saturday night, we were among the bustling crowd of patrons and witness to the frenetic pace of the wait staff taking orders, churning out food and beverage, and clearing off tables. We were seated outside. In the tumult, a glass escaped the grasp of one of the busy worker’s hands and shattered at my wife’s feet. Luckily, no harm was done and the situation was quickly remedied. As it was my wife’s birthday, we were treated to Warm Chocolate Hazelnut Indulgence with raspberry sauce and coconut iced cream. Oh, and a couple of glasses of Cava(Spanish sparkling wine). Indeed, it was an indulgence… and very generous. What a pleasant experience that I would be happy to repeat — nicely done!

Came in late with around 18 people for half priced bottles of wine on Monday and the staff was great! They say us all together at a long table and kept everyone happy with full glasses. Very pleasant experience. I’ve also gone here for dinner and the small plates were all great. It’s somewhere you can sit for hours and drink and casually snack while catching up on life and sharing stories or go in for a quick bite or drink. The outdoor seating is really nice with food weather too!

Ok, it’s apparent the food is excellent and definitely a 5-STARS. Besides asking for bread/oil a few times, the service was to par and handle our table of 10 very well. Back to the food, I ordered: — Scallops a la Plancha(w celery root, golden rasin, capers): It’s funny as I am writing this now I don’t remember the capers in the dish but the scallops were cooked to perfection. I mean, I couldn’t ask for more. The ingredients meld really well and it was delicious. I would get this again and again. I don’t remember this previously included on my last visit, so I am assuming it is a new addition. — Spicy Eggplant Caponata(w basil and sweet peper): This was why I was slightly upset there was no bread on the table. I had a taste but it needed the warm fresh out the oven bread to be complete. Highly recommended for vegetarians! — choriso w sweet & sour figs: This is one of my favorite that I always get when I am here. It has not been removed from the menu since my last visit in May 2015 so I’m guessing it is here to stay until further changes to the menu. Highly recommended for meat-lovers! — Black Truffle risotto: This dish came out last, at which point I was filled to the brim. I had a few bites and took the rest to-go. It was soooo rich, creamy, and heavy. Was it good? Yes. Would I get it again? Honestly, no. — To Drink? Barcelona Gin & Tonic, a must and favorite. My friends all seemed to enjoy their meals as well, a mix of first timers and returners.

Oh my goodness I loved this place! It was girl’s night and we loved every minute there. This is a pricier place to be our check came out to be under $ 100 for 3 girls and we split it so pretty much $ 30 per person. Service was fantastic. Free parking in front of the restaurant so be patient you could get lucky! We liked the potato/egg pie(or torta?) The almost raw grilled steak(ehhh no I wish it was cooked more not pink) Empanadas were good We had a couple more items, I guess not memorable. The red sangria pitcher is a MUSTMUSTMUST The white sangria pitcher was eh okay but nothing like the red! 2 pitchers + amazing friends + good food + Barcelona Inman Park = great times buddy

Well hello good atmosphere, service, and tapas! I just love venturing down to this neck of the woods as it reminds me of New York on a smaller scale. I’d say this must be a distant cousin to the West Village that is at the corner of Christopher and Hudson. While dining here, I love grabbing a high boy or bar table. It just gives it even more of a city feel. This is the kind of place perfect for a first date, girls night out or birthday shindig. The menu is seasonal, the wines are superb and the service is friendly and prompt. I most recently dined here on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the steak and eggs and subbed the potatoes out for mixed veggies… Holy Heavenly Goodness! My bae enjoyed croquets, and the frittata! I guess we can now add that this place is spot on for brunch. We chatted a good will so we got some cheese and bread to help our wine wash down. I’m definitely looking forward to heading back here to spend a cozy winter evening inside and a spring evening on their patio! Way to go Barcelona! Can’t wait to show you off!

The food is simply amazing. That alone warrants 5 stars. We ordered a large number of tapas as well as two of the larger plates and the food was all perfectly executed. The one miss was the pulpo, which was cooked a tad too much leaving it a bit rubbery. The rest of the tapas were fantastic: albondigas, patatas bravas, Brussels sprouts, beef tongue, hanger steak, etc. And the two larger plates(we ordered one serving if each to share with three of us) were also great: the fidelo(calamari with past and squid ink) and the veggie paella. But the veggie paella deserves its own story. The veggie paella came to the table cooked perfectly, but we all felt it was far too salty(a bit of a heavy hand by the chef). They quickly offered to make another one, which showed great customer service. The paella is cooked to order(as it should be) and that meant it would be a little while before it would be out, but we were content drinking more sangria and enjoying more of the exceptional bread and olive oil. Then Devon, one of the floor managers, came over to apologize for the saltiness and to say he’d like to send over a few additional tapas, at no charge, to enjoy while we waited. We said that wasn’t necessary, but accepted his gracious offer. The duck two ways was wonderful, and the shishito peppers perfectly spicy and salty. The re-fired paella was delightful and well worth the additional wait. So we would give the service 5 stars. But then we were handed the bill and not only were the two while-we-waited apps complimentary, they also comped the paella. Completely unnecessary, but what tremendous customer service. Devon went above and beyond and made a 5 star dinner a 6 star event. When we are back in Atlanta, this will be the first place we go to eat.

I came here on two occasions, once to celebrate a friend’s birthday and another to celebrate the end of a semester. Both times me and my friends had an amazing time. The atmosphere is upscale but somewhat casual, so you can enjoy an evening of casual hangout with a friend while dressing up to celebrate a special occasion. The best part about Barcelona is the dining experience. Because tapas are served periodically, if you ordered several dishes you can savor each dish while chatting with your group and enjoying a drink or two while waiting for the main course. Their Sangria by the pitcher is a must try! I was able to enjoy both the Parillada and Paella Mariscos from the main entrée, and they are both great. The servings for the entrée is shared and it is huge so if you’re ordering lots of tapas, which my group did, then I would recommend ordering less entrée servings than there are people. And make sure to order the main entrée first as it takes almost an hour to prepare. The quality and the plating of the food here was excellent. My favorite tapas dish was Patatas Bravas and I think it’s one of the more popular dish here. I also really enjoyed the charcuterie board. I’m not sure what we ordered since we just asked for suggestions but it is a definite must try. Overall, I would definitely visit here again

Came here on a Wednesday night. The place was pretty packed, and noise was about average for the crowd. We were seated quickly, but our table was wobbly. I didn’t mention it; it was crowded and there really wasn’t room to fix anything, so one of us just kept an elbow on the table to keep it anchored. No big deal. Selected a wine with the help of the server. He helped to point us in the right direction and made a great suggestion, so points for that! We ordered the serrano, drunken goat, and manchego right away. The ham was great, and the cheeses were satisfactory. Followed up with the patatas bravas(potatoes, salsa, sour cream), manchego and jamon croquetas(small, and if you have more than two people, I’d order two), spiced beef empanadas(good– if you have 3 or more, order 2), cauliflower cazuela(I was not impressed by this), hanger steak(very good, get this), and chorizo with sweet and sour figs(good). If I was really into wine, I’d come here again. Or maybe to just nibble and socialize. Perhaps happy hour? But if your hungry and want a meal, there are a lot of other places in walking distance to go.

We met up after 8 and sat the bar with a lovely blonde bartender who was friendly but I don’t recall her name. The meat and cheese plate was tasty and served with this crusty crunchy French bread that did wonders with the two cheeses(one soft and one firm) We also had a meat I cannot recall… It was fatty and thin slices like prosciutto. Divine. They do awesome wine specials and can make a girl a mean cocktail after a long day at work. I would say the bar was a bit rowdy for 9pm and I would like to be back to try a wider selection of both spirit and cuisine! A-ok in my book. Great late night spot

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, and I can’t believe I’ve only given this place 4 stars… It totally deserves 5 stars! Barcelona offered unbelievable menu for the Inman Restaurant Week, offering 4 tapas for $ 25. Tomorrow is the last day, so if you can get a reservation in, I would highly recommend it. Because Barcelona offers tapas, go in groups so that you can try out variety of dishes. Dishes range from $ 5 to $ 14, excluding their delicious paellas. Tonight we’ve had the following: — Jamon serrano: One of my favorite dishes! Tasted just like the Jamon that we had in Barcelona. Good to know we can find it local. Pickled veggies that it came with was refreshing and delicious as well. — Albondigas: Spicy meatballs. — Manchego+jamon croquetas: Delicious mini croquette balls. Perfect reminiscence of food that we had in Paris. — Pulpo Gallego: Golden baked potatoes with surprisingly tasty mayo and spice sauce. Couldn’t stop popping them in my mouth. — Spiced beef empanadas: Full of beef but lack of flavor. — Hamas al Ajillo: Buttery shrimp that is perfectly cooked. — Crispy calamari: flaky calamari bites. — Hamachi crudo: Yum! thin slices of yellowtail soaked in ponzo sauce topped with jalapeño — Hanger steak: Flavorful bite sized steak with green truffle vinaigrette. — Chorizo with figs: Sweet figs and chorizo sausage make the perfect combination. — Porchetta: Thick juicy slice of pork with freeze salad. — Char-grilled octopus: complimented with just enough veggies and heat from jalapeños. Barcelona isn’t called a wine bar for no reason. It offers 2 wine flights on their menu, one with a red, white, and rose and another with 2 reds, and 1 white. I had the latter flight and the reds were perfect with the dishes. Great way to finish off the meal is with their sugary cinnamony churros dipped in chocolate! Can’t wait to make the next visit here =)

This place was packed for a Friday night! We put our name and went to the bar as we wait to be seated. The wait was about 1 hour so we chanced finding a seat at the bar. Bar is first come, first serve but luckily after about 20 minutes we were able to find a seat for 2. If you’re just wanting to get a drink while you wait it can be tough. Space in the area is tight and bar tenders are busy. But they make their way around to everyone. Service — The service of the hostess and bartender was excellent! Very attentive and the bartender made some great wine recommendations. Drinks — Extensive drink menu! If you’re wanting to order a bottle of wine. It is a separate menu that you will have to ask for. Paella — we went because we were craving Paella. It takes about 30 minutes to order and depending on the type there is a per person fee to make. For example, the seafood Paella was about $ 25 per person. The texture of the rice was spot on with the crispy edges of the rice. However, the down side to the Paelle was the seafood was deceiving. The shells were large but the actually seafood itself was small and not much to it. It had good taste to it but I found it to be very salty towards the end of the meal. It was good but a little disappointing due to size of seafood and saltiness.

Barcelona Wine Bar, you have my business forever and always. Given your excellent food and wait staff, I’ve got my eye on you for all future events. We had a 630p reservation for a party of 7 on Saturday. The outside seating was bumping, and the inside was even more chaotic. Among the chaos, we were still able to hear each other just fine. I do wish they sat us at an 8 person table instead of adding an additional chair to a 6 person table though. My friend was celebrating her Bachlorette party, so here’s the low down on food – 2 pitchers of sangria(white and red): Both of these trend on the sweeter/fruitier side. Not a complaint for me since I am not a big wine drinker. I think some of our party wish they were a bit drier though. Complimentary bread: Imagine in slow motion someone breaking off a piece of bread and you hear that distinct CRUNCH sound and the steam floats into the air, and the scent of amazing flour/dough and hitting your nostrils… Okay. Yeah. That’s exactly what I want to reenact every time I take a piece of this bread and drench it in olive oil. All I can say is, MOAR bread please! Marinated Olives: One of the bridesmaids ordered this. Sorry, pass on my part. Unless it’s in a sandwich, I can’t stand for overwhelming saltiness of olives. Chorizo with sweet and sour figs: Definitely a winner of the table. The chorizo was flavorful without being too salty. Paired with the sweet and tart fig, this is a must have dish. Spiced Beef Empanadas: 3 per order. These are good but spicy. Crispy Cabbage: This cabbage was so sweet! Almost caramelized. The best parts(of course) are the little char bits. Hanger steak: Five very delicious, yet short lived pieces of medium rare hanger steak. I find that hanger steak can be kind of tough, but this was not at all difficult to eat. The truffle aioli is a little garlicky but adds to the flavors of the steak very well. Aside from the aioli, I think the steak speaks for itself. Broccoli Casserole: I LOVEBROCCOLI and usually HATE casseroles. But this was delicious! I’m not sure what type of cheese they used, but it was so creamy. The broccoli was also very crunchy/fresh, not cooked to death like most casseroles are. Albondigas: Meatballs. Patatas Bravas: Another potato dish. I do wish the skins were a little more crunchy, and the overall dish was a little less oily. But anything with potato is automatically a-OK in my book. Ham & Cheese croquettes: I LOVE croquettes. For those who don’t know, croquettes are basically a mixture of mashed potatoes and whatever else you want fried. Fried potato balls. They are everything I want in a fried fish: crispy on the outside and soft, pillowy insides. Finally. the complimentary dessert board. They must only do this for special occasions, but it is a massive cutting board with the chocolate hazelnut cake(best cake… Ever), flan, bread pudding, and crêpe. We also ordered the panna cotta. This is the best panna cotta I’ve ever eaten. It is a little more runny” and less«pudding-like» then your usual panna cotta but it is so creamy. They top it off with black cherries that really highlight the tartness of the dish. The hazelnut cake was probably the table winner. It was kind of like a molten lava cake, but with more of a thicker, fudgey middle than hot fudge. I would say the prices are fair. With everything we ordered, our bill was less than $ 200. That’s less than $ 25/person before tax(for our 7). Granted, we got the dessert platter for free, but even a couple desserts around the table won’t put you past $ 40/person. Overall, I was extremely pleased with our attentive servers and delicious food. TLDR; On a budget? Get the hanger steak and panna cotta for dessert

Another consistent winner! They maintain their FOURSTAR rating! We arrived early for our dinner, and opted to sit outside for drinks, while we waited for our table to open up(they had a private function occupying the dining section for the late afternoon). Our drink orders were totally screwed up, not once but twice. It was disheartening. The servers were new and inexperienced and poorly trained. Our table finally opened up(we were about to leave for another restaurant at this point), and we’re glad we stayed, as the rest of the evening was perfect. The manager knew the status thus far and insured our enjoyment. The four of us shared entirely too much food, including Paella Mariscos(for 1 – to share), $ 25, lamb pinxto(sliders with balsamic vinegar glazed onions and dates), $ 9, and crab legs, $ 16, etc. MANY, many tastes and half tastes of wines by the glass, and we were happy campers.
