This is a lovely trail! The pup and I decided to try out this trail since the reviews on . My pup’s a little old lady and really doesn’t like tough trails anymore. This 2 mile(back and forth) walk was perfect! It was paved, relatively level in elevation, with lovely grass, several bridges with lots of personality, and 2 playgrounds. There was also a patch of grass that backed up to some houses. It’s not fenced in, but I did see lots of dogs playing frisbee or fetch with a ball, as well as some folks with picnic baskets and blankets. There is also a relatively flat grassy area where a pick up touch football game was happening. This was an easy walk, with lots of people and dogs(all on leash, good job everyone!), and quite a few poop-bag-stations along the way in case you ran out. Parking is available on the street — relatively easy all around the golf course.

C just always has good ideas. Today, after our fun lunch, I thought we might go to a movie; instead he suggested strolling in a park he likes — and one I actually hadn’t be to, ever! It was a pretty afternoon(finally, after the weather we’ve been having, right?) and despite me having on not-so-great shoes to walk around the park in, it was lovely. Not as many dogs around as at Chastain, and definitely some steep inclines(they’d be much easier in running shoes v heels…) and steps, and a nice pathway among trees and around the Bobby Jones Golf Course(you know who Bobby Jones was, right?). The official address is Colonial Homes Dr, as it is located behind the apartment complex, but you can also enter/park off Collier(it’s not far past Piedmont Hospital, and before you get to Northside) as we did. Definitely one of the cute little parks in our fair city!
