The only reason this place got the stars from me I have is because the setup is really nice it has a lot of potential to be great except it’s under poor management the service is slow they were over staffed and it still took forever to get a drink the drink are ridiculously priced and they start charging at the door after like 9 or 10 we had a party there and left earlier than planned because of all the above

Went here last night to check it out as I’m looking for a nice grown up place to celebrate my birthday. Upon entrance the place was fabulously decorated, the waitress was very attentive, my margaritas were strong, the chicken tenders and fries were good, the live band was great and the dj was rocking. However… besides the birthday party of about 20 people there were only 4 other people in the whole place that weren’t employees and that included myself and hubby! I dint know what this place needs to do but they need to get some people in there them it would be a great place to be!

3 friends and I popped in on Amnesia Fri nite 10/11/2013. I must say the place is kinda swank! There was a band already on and not sounding too bad at, just a tad loud for talking because the place wasn’t packed! Amnesia offers drink and appetizer specials on Fri nites and has their version of Happy Hour I believe from 6−9pm. The staff was friendly, drinks strong and food prepared to order was very good! We had ribs w/fries, large tasty chicken fingers w/fries, jumbo shrimp w/fries and I had the very snappy lemon-pepper wings w/fries. They also have a small dinner menu and salads. I didn’t snap photos cause the place was kinda empty when we arrived. Amnesia is in a small shopping plaza thats dimly lit in the evening hours. The shopping center seems to have potential but the lighting needs to be much better and so does the signage! You may ride by a couple times as I did trying to see the shopping center sign on the wall where the paint has obviously faded. A couple of spotlights could do the trick. We stayed until about 10:30pm…the place never got packed and the Fri crowd was 40+. There’s a lot of open space and a kinda private area or 2. There were a few bday celebrations goin on and the small crowd that were there seemed to really be enjoying themselves. The DJ was onn and kept the floor pumped(there is nothing worse than a bad DJ) so this dude had his game tight! I will return sometime since its kinda nearby, off Campcreek and Butner on the left… I’m not sure what they may need to do to increase the traffic in there but Amnesia has better potential than what it appears…

I wasn’t sure what to expect when going to Amnesia this past Friday night. The venue itself is unexpectedly nice being located in a shopping center. While waiting for my friend, I ordered the chicken nachos and mango martini. The nachos were disgusting-it looked and smelled like dog food. The waitress was super sweet though. She sent it back and swapped my ordered for some fries and another drink. The martini was OK. On the plus side, the entertainment was great! If I return, I’ll just go for the entertainment and drinks.

I was really excited to see that a lounge was opening close to where I lived, and I have been a couple of times. The inside of the club is very nice and the DJ was pretty good. The place has the potential to be really nice, but the drinks are only so-so and severely overpriced. I would recommend going during happy hour if you are going to go, otherwise you will be really taken aback by the drink prices.

Not sure what to say about this place… it just kind of irked me. First, the place isn’t very large, yet about one third of it is reserved for VIP. Please tell me why you need so many VIP spots when this place will NEVER be packed? They were just reaching to me. The bar chairs were CHEAP! Plastic, wobbly and very uncomfortable. The food was sub par. We had wings, fries and a salad. The wings were so bland and lukewarm, the salad was definitely the bagged salad you get from the grocery store with a few cucumbers sliced on top. Even the dressing seemed like the cheapo store brand straight from the bottle. The plates they served the food on were looooooong plastic rectangles and just weird. They’re just trying hard to be trendy and modern, without spending money on quality stuff. This place is like the Payless Shoes of lounges… it might look cute, but its cheap and will leave you unsatisfied. The drinks were mixed poorly and they ran out of limes for our Coronos very early in the evening. Again, this place just irked me. Apparently they’re open til 5am on Thurs & Fri’s so maybe this will be an after-after-party drink spot when I have friends in town and we want to pretend we’re still young and got it. I also like the area its in. PS… like other posters said. They’ll ask you to pay $ 10 to park in front of their door, but its in a strip plaza so this makes no sense. Just put your car in reverse and park towards the other side of the lot for free.

I had high hopes for Amnesia but they’ve let me down. Located right off Butner Rd(down Camp Creek Parkway), this place is positioned in a great place IMO. There are some other business located in the strip mall but you can’t miss the big sign for Amnesia. They have valet parking but it makes no sense to pay when you can just park your car in the other free parking spots in the other section. And there will be a parking space available. More on that later. Through emails or flyers on the website, we usually get in free before a certain time(used to be 11PM but they scaled it back to 10PM). I believe the standard cover with no pass is $ 20. Inside Amnesia, you’ll find a very nicely designed club/lounge. The bartenders are pretty good and can make some decent to strong drinks. Price is fairly normal for what you’d find in clubs. DJ is OK, playing a standard mix of music. I think the problem with Amnesia is they don’t know how to promote themselves. They are geared towards an older crowd(30+) but the place is ALWAYS empty. I don’t think this place has ever been packed. There are other places that cater to this demographic or even older(Crows Nest, Grown Folks) and can draw a crowd. It’s never a good sign when you always pass people leaving and it’s far from closing. It’s a shame because it’s in a great location and is far from a hood spot. But for now, if I return, it’ll just be a place I stick my head in before the real nighttime activities kick off.

I had a so so experience at this place on a Saturday night. I do not recommend reserving VIP space for a party here. Way too overpriced for what you get. Also do not pay $ 10 for parking. There is ample free parking throughout the plaza. Food and drink was just average. The highlight of this place is the DJ. He played a little bit of everything(Old School and New School). We never left the floor(which by the way is a little small). I love to dance so I will definitely go back for that. Next time we will eat at the Cajun Crab House a few doors down prior to going.

I have been to this spot now a few times and all times have been bad. The bar staff and a few of the waitresses have been good. The management team will eventually run this place out of business. Their customer service skills are lacking. The free drinks until 10pm on Fridays is very misleading. It is only one drink. The foyer does not say that.

Don’t waste your time or your money here. They are super over priced. I would never recommend anyone to go. I guess they’re business is not doing well because they are raping their customers. I frequent locations that treat me good. I could barely get enough plates or napkins for my company. Penny pitching will run their customers away before they get there. Most of my business goes to recommendations from friends. I would recommend you to find somewhere else to party.

Well I came to watch the Super Bowl and it ended up being a disaster. Ordered shrimp and potatoes, it took 45 mins to get my food. Asked manager what the problem was, his explanation was they are busy serving the all you can eat folks. Really? So because I’m paying for my food you put me on the back burner. Ok! Then, there’s more, I speak with the manager he tells me sorry BUT… Never again Amnesia.

This place was ok… It seemed be an after work crowd. I would consider it to be a club or a place that I would dress too fancy for. The drinks were good and so was the music. I would return its laid back and local…
