I don’t even pretend to know what great art is, but I know it when I see it, that’s for sure.
Which lead me to Harriet Leibowitz exhibition on Friday nite.
The place was packed with what I called the Haves and the Have Nots, but the diversity of the crowd did little to spoil the evening. Maybe it was the two models holding champagne trays as you entered the door. That did it for me if no one else.
I saw old friends greet and hug, and newbies mingle with others over what I think is being called the galleries most provocative exhibition yet.
There was other art to view, and one of these days, when I either hit the lottery or get a hold to the trust fund, I’m sure has been hidden from me, I will surely return and buy several pieces.
Primarily, I think I’d rather hire Harriett out and have her do a DeeDee version of the «Pass the Salt» photograph that was hanging here.
