I’ve been looking for a great bakery in town, and Savie’s bakery was perfect. After reading previous reviews, I made a special trip out during a storm to get a cake for my husband’s birthday. The trip was definitely worth it. Savie and her staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything looked so good, and I wanted to buy everything in the store. I ended up getting a taro cake for the hubby and a Thai tea for me to go. The cake was phenomenal. It was light and flavorful. I loved how the icing was not overly sweet either. It was just plain delicious enough for me to want to lick any remaining icing off my plate. I’m pretty particular about my Thai teas as well, and the one I got was not too sweet either, but just perfect. I will definitely be coming back to try the Japanese cheesecake. Stop by for some treats, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Came here after seeing it on a list of top five new restaurants to try in Athens and was not disappointed. This place is delightful! Their menu offers lots of variety, so they have something for everyone, ranging from more traditional cakes and pastries to Thai-influenced desserts, like the taro purple velvet cupcakes and Thai tea!(I particularly loved the green tea and coconut cupcakes.) Furthermore, the entire staff is very friendly and helpful, and Savie is so sweet! I don’t live in Athens anymore, but I will come back to town just for Savie’s!

Went by Savie’s my first time this morning. Coffee was great and I adore the apricot bars. Everything was very reasonably priced. Received a very warm welcome when I came it. I really hope they can make it!

Prayers do get answered. For the past two years I have been yearning for a stand-alone bakery to open on the Eastside. Just as I was giving up hope I happen upon the next great gem in Athens. This isn’t just your ordinary bakery, it’s the bakery to which all others should model. Savie, owner and baker, combined traditional delights with her blend of Asian influence. Everything I mean everything is incredible. From the chocolate croissants, to the chocolate chip muffins and homemade carrot bread. this place will surely not disappoint. My wife and I have become regulars and eventually our 7 month old will too. I’m so happy to finally have this bakery on my side of town.

Definitely a true gem in Athens, GA. This cute bakery shop has something for everyone. Their affordable menu items ranges from butterscotch coffee to Thai tea lattes. As soon as you walk through the doors, you are immediately welcomed by kind workers who are eager to help with what you are looking for. Baked Goods: There are many items that are displayed — brownies, cakes, cookies, etc. Whatever you can think of! They’re specialty I believe is their Japanese Cheesecake. It has both a cake and cheesecake texture; creamy but also spongey, a must try! Coffee: From what was told to me, they use 1000 Faces Coffee beans for their espresso based drinks and Jittery Joes for all other coffee drinks. You won’t find a drink that’s over four dollars, which is pretty amazing if you ask me. Other beverages: they also sell teas such as Thai Tea and Green Tea. I believe you can choose between having milk/half and half added or just lemon. The workers will be more than happy to adjust your drink to your liking. Also, the drinks are pretty cheap! Less than two dollars for a small and less than three for a medium. The only downside is the size of the bakery. There isn’t many places to sit since it’s pretty small. From what I remembered, there was only one table with a couple seats. Definitely bring your friends/family here for the food, but don’t plan on staying for long since there’s no seating. Overall I really enjoyed my experience at Savie’s. I hope more people will stop by! You won’t regret it.
