Papa John’s Pizza

I ordered at 9 pm. They close at 3 am. I never got my pizza. They never answered any of my calls. Every call for several hours was hung up on.

I would give ZERO stars if possible. I experienced the worst and rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. I ordered two large pizzas and a side item for carry-​out this past Sunday. When I arrived, I noticed «$ 9.99 one-​topping pizza» advertised on the Papa John’s sign at the street. When I asked the manager why I wasn’t given the discount when he charged me $ 40 for the order, he rudely and condescendingly remarked «there’s no discount unless you ask for it,» and proceeded to give me a lecture about how business’ would not stay open if they just gave everybody a discount. It was so ridiculous I asked if he was serious (I really thought it may be some weird sense of humor or something), and he the continued his rant and condescension by saying, «businesses just don’t give out free discounts unless you ask for them.» I remarked I disagreed and that businesses I’ve encountered give a discount if they have advertised a particular sale or price, as was the case here with the price in bold letters out on the street sign. I then got a lecture about how I was wrong and that was not the case here… blah blah blah… etc etc etc. The manager, yes I’m pretty sure this was the manager, then literally proceeded to shove the pizzas in my face as I was getting my credit card out for payment, and when I asked if the extra sauces I ordered were in the boxes, he literally yelled «you’ll have to look at the labels on the boxes if you want to know» (which apparently have a note on them if extra items are placed inside, and if I were to somehow magically know this). I will NEVER go here again, and will think twice before choosing Papa John’s in general if this is the type of management they train and allow. Notice I wrote this review several days after the experience… the degree of rudeness, lecturing, and condescension was so bad and so unacceptable it is still on my mind.

I wish I could give the staff here zero stars. We placed an order online this afternoon for delivery this evening (three hours later). The pizza was for a special occasion, and we knew Papa Johns would probably be busy due to the weather, so we gave them PLENTY of notice. Sadly, they didn’t deliver the pizza. When we called, the staff was extremely rude. The manager was unbelievably rude as well, condescending, and spoke to us like we’d done everything wrong… and acted like the undelivered pizza was no big deal. He basically treated us like our order didn’t matter, when it truly DID matter to us and the people we were trying to feed. He then said they were short on drivers, so we asked if we could come pick up the pizza. He said no because it wasn’t even in the oven. (This was 40 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered, and more than three hours after we placed the order for future delivery.) He spoke to us like we were idiots, did not ever apologize, argued with us when we asked for the delivery charge to be removed from our tab if we came to pick up the pizza ourselves, and gave us the worst attitude I have ever experienced from a restaurant manager. Not only was our planned event’s food ruined after we gave Papa Johns 3 hours to prepare, our pizza wasn’t even available for us to come get as a last resort. Due to the manager and staff’s terrible service, we canceled our order after the manager literally yelled at us over the phone and wouldn’t allow a word in edgewise. He raised his voice so loud people across the room could hear him from the phone’s speaker. He could have saved the situation (and a customer) by apologizing and not speaking to us like that. We just wanted pizza and got a huge slice of rude attitude instead. Don’t go here. The staff doesn’t take customer service seriously. They should have called us immediately when they realized they couldn’t fulfill the order, instead of leaving us hanging and giving us extreme poor attitude.

I would put ZERO stars if I could. I called in about 30 minutes before they closed, and they told me they were closed (earlier than their websites states.) They were also very rude when I talked to them on the phone. Very unhappy with their customer services! rude people work here with no customer service whatsoever!
