Upgrade to the super gyro, it’s worth it. Get the curly fries, get the feta sauce to dip in. It’s all amazing. The best thing besides the super gyro is the Santa fe wrap but on a pita. This place has been around since my parents were in college and for good reason.

Their philly is addictive and the z-sauce is a must. It may not be the prettiest place but this is an Athens classic and I always have a great experience. The guys behind the counter are always friendly go above and beyond. If there was ever a downside, it’s that I can’t get a philly 24⁄7.

I think their prices are all a dollar or two overpriced for the size and quality. It’s not bad food by any means, but it’s very average. One smaller sized gyro wrap is $ 6.75 with no side or drink or anything.

It’s pretty good, but nothing special. The gyros are tasty, the falafel is sub-par. Maybe I’d give it four stars if gyros weren’t the kind of food that makes you feel unhealthy and gross for the ready of the day. Alas, they are.

Best gyro in town. Get the fries with feta! Are outside, they took great care of our dog too!

This place focuses on the food and not the décor. The food is flat out awesome but if you don’t like the local hole in the wall kind of place keep walking. If you want great food that is cheap then stop in. You won’t be sorry!

Good place to grab a bite. Nothing spectacular but a good place anyway. Recommended!

Pretty solid gyros and my wife’s philly cheese steak that I tried was really good. Couple decent food with cheap beer and I am on board. Anytime I can get a meal with a beer for less than ten dollars, its going to be a good day… Don’t expect a super polished interior because that’s not what this place is about. I liked the total package myself though. They were playing some sweet old school metal too while I was there. If you need a quick meal to keep you going for the night, this could very well be your spot. Get some lamb in your life…

This is my favorite restaurant in Athens! I’ve loved it since the 1980s. I have to visit every time I’m in town. Small setting makes this place cozy. Staff is friendly and efficient. Now, I have my whole family addicted to it too. Best items are gyro sandwich with feta dressing(on the side) and falafel.

The last time I went there, I ended up with a hair in my gyro. A big one. That was a while ago. I can’t imagine ever going back.

Nothing like a warm Gyro and some pizza to end a good night on the town. This restaurant is small yet inviting, the smells will call you in and say get your arse in here and eat!

I’ve been eating at Gyro Wrap since my college days in the 80s and love it! Now, my husband and I usually split two wraps: a basic gyro AND a ½ and ½ cheese wrap. Get extra feta for the gyro, and get a HOTPEPPER sauce side for the cheese wrap. Delicious! Don’t forget the curly fries. Two people can easily share one order. The staff is still sweet and grungy — just as they have been for 20 years. .. and the same large, cool Jill Carnes painting is on the wall. Some things never change!

I really loved this place when I lived there, but my appreciation for it has definitely grown since I have moved away. Every place we go that serves gyros we ask«better than gyro wrap?» So far the answer has been«no» every time. BESTGYROOUTSIDEOFGREECE! And for some reason, this place is better than other Great Wraps. We thoroughly enjoy the gyros, falafel, curly fries, FETADRESSING(also better than any other place), hummus, and even the Greek salad.

I have been going to gyro for as long as I can remember. My mom took me when I was young forced me to order the super and I haven’t looked back! I can’t say anything about the rest of the menu because I have never had anything else. It looks like a hole in the wall but damn those wraps are good!!!

I absolutely love the gyros here! The food is really inexpensive and the portions are really large. It’s a fairly small place, but it’s completely worth any short wait. The staff does a good job as well considering how crowded it can get at night.

Love this place. I used to stop by every once in a while when I went to school at UGA… would just walk up campus down Broad St. I haven’t been back to Athens for a few years, but I made sure to stop by when I went back for an interview. The service is still super nice, and the cajun chicken wrap was still delicious. I ordered a large Curly Fries for the first time to share, and it turned out to be a LOT. Also, local beers!

gyro wrap is a place for me that epitomizes athens: a little grungy. a little hipster. a little artsy. and a lot of soul. the people are mostly natives so you dont get the high turn over of college kid after college kid working here. the hummus wrap is the best. the kurly fries and feta are a must. not great for a date. not great to meet up with friends over food. but it is great to fill your tummy with goodness and to enjoy the atmosphere of a little hole in the wall that is an athens installation

Always a great meal… I have eaten here for over 20 years… My standard favorite is the half and half cheese wrap. You have to have the curly fries with some seasoned salt and a side of creamy feta dressing…

The bathrooms are pretty disgusting. Thankfully I’m not that much of a germaphobe as I wasn’t really off-put by it. Don’t let that fool you, though. The food is safe. It isn’t terrible. I’ve had better, but it’s okay for what it is. You pay a little extra for fries. I’m not a fry person so I don’t think it’s worth it, but if you’re into that kinda thing, pay a couple extra dollars for them to put a handful of curly fries on your plate. The staff and servers are friendly, which I liked. I wouldn’t mind coming back if I ever catch myself having a hankering for a gyro.
