Amanda M. was super friendly and sweet. Not once did I feel pressured or rushed. She even made great suggestions concerning undergarments and other dresses. I felt great about my purchase of my wedding dress. Super awesome!!!

The staff at DB at the Athens location were all very helpful. My sales person was Mikela (sp) and she was so patient with me. I must have tried on 5 – 6 ball gowns since that’s what I was dead set on but didn’t find any I liked. But Mikela kept trying and she was so pleasant to work with. Joann, the floor manager, saw I was having a difficult time and assisted Mikela in pulling other silhouettes. We all agreed that an A-​line fit me better. I found one dress I liked but didn’t like the sleeves. I told them what I liked and what I didn’t with all the dresses I’ve tried on. I was ready to give up when Mikela came with a gown she said had all what I was looking for. At this point I was highly discouraged and was very doubtful. I came out looked in the mirror and knew this was the dress. All the sales staff cheered and were so sweet. It was such a pleasant experience. I didn’t feel rushed at all. My appointment was only for an hour and a half but they ended up working with me for over two and a half hours on a Saturday. I would definitely recommend brides to visit this location.

I found both the assistance from the people who work here and the selection to be excellent. I am the mother of the groom and I received the full attention of Jo Ann, who assisted me. I found her opinion and her suggestions very helpful. I found the right dress and it came promptly.

Go to a different location. Other locations are four times the size and probably more helpful. For bridesmaids, they don’t really measure you. It’s almost better to look at styles online and then go in with some idea. They have almost all colors and all sizes from 0 – 24, but the sizes are opposite of vanity sizing. A 0 – 2 sized person will generally wear a 4, a 4 – 6 sized person will wear an 8 – 10, a 8 – 10 person will wear a 14 – 16.
Now, when it comes to brides, I know brides can be picky, but if you have no idea what color, style, or design you want, you may get some random dresses given to you and told that you look amazing in everything… Definitely a great place to try on less than a $ 1000 dresses though.

As an out-​of-​town bridesmaid, I had to do all of my planning/​shopping without a bride/​bridal party. I can promise you it is definitely not that exciting when you’re experiencing the joys (…) of bridesmaid tasks six hours away from all the action.
So when I stepped into David’s Bridal, I figured I’d be surrounded by a ton of people who are very much into that type of thing and would make the whole process much more exciting.
Not.
A word of advice: unless you are the bride, you’re pretty much on your own. When I walked in, I checked in with a girl at the desk near the front door giving her all the wedding information so she could find the appropriate dress. She disappeared and after ten minutes I decided to dive into the overflowing rack of dresses and find it myself. I somehow managed to find not only the dress, but my size as well, and walked back to the fitting rooms.
Well, I found the girl who was helping me… along with four other David’s Bridal employees standing around one girl trying on a bridal gown. Yes, she looked great. They always do. Now can I have a fitting room? After standing there for something like ten more minutes, I just went up to the girl and asked for a room. I’m sure I ruined the moment. Sorry, bride!
Once I got the dress on, another waiting game. Three more brides trying on dresses. My visit took me an hour to try on one dress and set an appointment for the alterations. I’m sure if you’re going to get your wedding dress it would be much different, however, if you’re merely a bridesslave. or bridesmaid, rather, be prepared to wait.
